There’s still time to make plans to attend PAGE and enjoy its many notable role-playing game guests including a number of Palladium Books personalities: me (Kevin Siembieda), Matthew Balent (Palladium Weapon Series, Valley of the Pharaohs), J-M DeFoggi, Thomas Roache (Red Duke Games), and many others. I’ll have a booth and am bringing a selection of TMNT, After the Bomb, Rifts, select other titles, and some out-of-print books – maybe even some original artwork and choice negatives from 40+ years of RPG publishing.

Back in Stock – Order now

Temporarily Out of Stock – But they’ll be back

Christmas season and Surprise Packages were off the hook this year. Thank you for all your support! However, that has left us temporarily out of stock of many fan favorite titles like Mysteries of Magic, Bizantium, Aliens Unlimited, Rifts England, Rifts Northern Gun 1 & 2, China 1 & 2, Rifts Adventure Guide, Rifts Atlantis, Bionics Sourcebook, Fleets of the 3 Galaxies, Thundercloud Galaxy, and even Rifts Psi-Ops Psychic War, amongst others. We’re working on getting something like 20 titles (out of stock or running low) sent to the printers but you’re probably looking at the end of February or mid-March for most of them.

Palladium Collectibles – at Kevin’s Online Toy & Collectibles eBay Store

Palladium collectibles, books, artwork, and negatives, as well as action figures, toys, and other items from Kevin Siembieda’s personal collection are available from this Ebay store!

One-of-a-kind Palladium Books negatives are always very popular items at the Palladium Open House, Gen Con, and conventions, and are catching on as rare collectibles, unique in and of themselves. Last year at Granite State Comic Con Kevin Eastman had TMNT negatives from the first comic book on display.

Before digital printing, pages of a book were laid out by hand on a board, and each page was photographed. These are the photographic negatives being sold as individual works of art and collectibles. When matted or framed on a white background they look like dynamic wood cut prints. And they are on sale right now!

CLOSING THOUGHTS

Palladium Books 2026

As is our current policy, I am not going to set specific dates or even a month, but I will give you an idea of what’s on the drawing board. When you’re done reading this, enjoy the fan comments that follow.

New Releases for 2026

Life and the world has been crazy and rather volatile these past five years. Even the good stuff, like bringing on Sean Owen Roberson to help rebuild Palladium Books from the foundation up, and reacquiring the TMNT license, takes a lot of time and energy. We feel like we are making considerable progress, but you can’t see all of it because most of it is happening behind the scenes.

One of our shared goals is to bring you many (not all) of the books that were announced in the past but got shelved for one reason or another. You’ll see some of those on the list of titles below. In fact, the return of the TMNT license was the most requested book/game line of the last 20 years. You asked. We listened. You have it back. Please continue to talk it up and recommend it to friends, comic books buddies, and hobby and comic book stores. Thanks.

– Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness Redux RPG and TMNT Transdimensional Adventures (which collects and updates the beloved sourcebooks: Transdimensional TMNT, TMNT Adventures, and TMNT Guide to the Universe). Yes, I include TMNT & Other Strangeness Redux Editions as a 2026 release because though they shipped to Kickstarter backers in December, and we made them available in the Palladium online store in late December, these books will not be hitting store shelves until this month, January 2026. The books are designed to appeal to ALL TMNT fans from gamers and comic book collectors to people who loved them as toys, cartoons, video games, and movies.

Crowdfunding backers, gamers, fans and friends who have gotten their copy are ecstatic over the Redux Editions of both Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness RPG and the TMNT Transdimensional Adventures sourcebook. They love the overall quality, the artwork, the color, the bonus art, the layout, the type font, the tweaks and clarification, the index – they love it all. You will too.

Which has led to the question: Can you expect more Palladium RPG books of this caliber in the future?

The answer is yes. Sean and I like to tell people that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness is your glimpse of things to come. A peek at the types of quality books we aim to produce in the future. Not every new book will be full color or hardcover, but yes, we want to do more color hardcover books of a similar caliber. This is especially true of core rule books and special releases offered through crowdfunding. That said, many new books – especially sourcebooks – will remain in the black and white format with dynamic line art and/or grayscale artwork.

– Fantasy: Island at the Edge of the World – A long-time favorite that is finally getting updated to 2nd edition rules by John Klinkel and Jeremy Colantonio. It includes updated stat blocks and a few clarifications and additions, but nothing on the scale of Yin-Sloth Jungles which was so expanded it has turned into two books (Yin-Sloth Jungles and the upcoming Yin-Sloth Expeditions). In fact, we’re working hard to keep IEW at 144 or 160 pages. The big change is that much of the exquisite line art has been upgraded with beautiful grayscale shading by Jeremy Colwell, the fantastic artist who colorized the Black, White, and Red TMNT & OS Redux Editions. This gives the art a new, fresh, modern feel.

– Fantasy: Yin-Sloth Expeditions. You can think of Expeditions as Yin-Sloth Jungles Part 2. It is filled with a dozen updated and expanded adventures, a couple of new adventures, plus new details about certain locations, adventure hooks, new villains, 30+ maps (all the old maps have been redone), and more! This is the next book to be finished by me, Kevin Siembieda.

– Rifts Bestiary Volume 2. A couple different people have taken a run at completing this hotly anticipated title, but it’s in Sean’s hands now as he works on the final manuscript and presentation. It follows a similar approach to Rifts Bestiary Volume One. Like its predecessor, the descriptions and stats of the beasts have been standardized, cleaned up, and updated, requiring additional text, editing, and in some cases, new artwork. Note: Rifts Bestiary Volume 2 was originally self-crowdfunded by Palladium Books via our Insider program. We have all the backers’ information and the original artwork promised to our top-tier backers is safely tucked away. When the book is ready to go to the printer, backers will be contacted for updated addresses and other pertinent information.

– Rifts Chaos Earth: First Responders. This is another book that Sean has taken under his wing. Most of the interior artwork is by Steven Cummings and has been completed, and we have an awesome cover painting that we look forward to sharing soon. Sean works on the manuscript as he can when ideas strike, but we want to finish Bestiary 2 and get it shipped before he gives First Responders his full attention. Though specifically a Chaos Earth sourcebook, it will be fully compatible with Rifts – especially the Golden Age cache loot tables which will make fantastic additions to Rifts campaigns –  and adaptable to Phase World and other settings.

– Rifts Antarctica. This is another one of those books jam-packed with cool ideas, magic, monsters, and mystery. The original manuscript is by Matthew Clements with additional material, ideas, editing and rewrites by me, Kevin Siembieda. It includes ice magic, ice witches, ley lines under the ice, the Splugorth, human and Splugorth outposts, alien creatures, and a strange citadel of stone and ice that appears to be an ally of humans and an enemy of the Splugorth (and D-Bees). This book is going to blow your mind.

– Beyond the Supernatural Sourcebooks. I will try my best to have at least one, if not both, Beyond Arcanum (magic for the modern world) and Tome Grotesque (BTS monsters and demons) completed by the end of this year, 2026. No promises, because things seem to happen to prevent my work on these books, but I’m determined to get them done. Their addition changes the landscape of the Beyond the Supernatural setting in ways that will make this world even more unique and epic.

If we can get these seven titles released in 2026 it will be a big accomplishment, and we know you’ll be as thrilled as we are, but …

There is more brewing behind the scenes: We have additional book ideas and even manuscripts in the works for Rifts, Palladium Fantasy, Chaos Earth, Heroes Unlimited, Ninjas & Superspies, Dead Reign, and all our game lines. Our plans for Rifts and Palladium Fantasy alone, over the next five years, are mind boggling, but we aren’t ready to share them with you yet.

Licensing

So here is the thing about licensing, it’s a ton of work and you never know if it will pan out. Years ago, Palladium negotiated a promising license for a Splicers TV series. The script outline was fantastic. The script for the pilot episode was compelling, fun, and totally in line with the RPG. We were soooo excited, but we kept it quiet. I’m glad we did, because nothing came of it. Eight years of anticipation and hope for nothing. 18 years of the same for the Rifts movie. A half dozen inquiries about a Rifts video game, that led to nothing.

Licenses are tricky. The bigger the license, the trickier it gets. Even with a signed licensing deal, the odds of a licensed product coming out and being good, let alone everything you wish it could be, are slim to none. So take the following with a grain of salt and don’t assume any of them will come to fruition, but it’s some of the stuff happening behind the scenes.

1. Will there be new TMNT & Other Strangeness books and products? Bwahaha … I mean … stay tuned. [I’m stoked, it’s gonna be radical! ~Sean]

2. Palladium Books has been in discussions for the acquisition of a license we know you’ll be happy to see. (No, it’s not Robotech.) If successful, the crowdfunder is likely to launch later this year (all very tentative at this stage).

3. Suddenly, Palladium has been approached by three different companies (large and small) interested in doing Rifts comic books and/or graphic novels. Will any of them pan out? Will all of them happen? We don’t know yet. We are exploring the options.

4. Phase World and the Three Galaxies RPG and adventure sourcebooks for Savage Worlds coming from Star Anvil Studios. Adaptable to Palladium’s Rifts. Crowdfunding in 2026 (tentative).

5. More audiobooks are coming. Why start with Nightbane? Why not? We thought Nightbane was a nice test subject with 7 titles (not 100+) and the Urban Fantasy genre is popular. Something big is coming for the Nightbane audiobooks soon – in the next month or two. Something that will appeal to role-players as well as those interested in audiobooks. Watch for it.

More Kickstarters/Crowdfunding

You can expect to see more offerings and experimentation in the crowdfunding arena (BackerKit and Kickstarter) by Palladium in the new year and beyond. Crowdfunding is an excellent tool for not just gathering the resources to manufacture new products, but to advertise, try new ideas, and test the waters. You can expect to see large and small crowdfunders coming from us, especially for unique undertakings.

That’s your glimpse into our plans for 2026 and a little beyond. There’s more, of course, but this is all we can share at this time. Sean might have a heart attack if I say any more than I already have.

Don’t forget to get yourself or a friend a Surprise Package before the offer ends next Wednesday, and you need to get a copy of the two TMNT & Other Strangeness Redux editions. You know you need them; and the GM Screen, and Mutagen Green Dice, and the Black, White, and Red editions … and … that’s all for now. Stay warm, gather a bunch o’ gamers together for some RPG action, and game on.

Oh, and I hope to see some of you at PAGE in Philadelphia.

Surprise Package comments from fans like you

Every year we like to post a selection of the comments we get from Surprise Package customers. It’s a nice acknowledgement and thank you to them (you know who you are) and you enjoy reading them. I read each and every comment that comes in the Surprise Packages and I like to post a brief response to the ones that appear in these Updates. We appreciate each and every one of you whether you included a comment or not. Happy New Year!

S.B. in Rouses Point, New York, writes: I have purchased a Surprise Package every year for almost 20 years and want to thank you all for the [many] Christmas gifts to me. Have a great New Year.

[S.B., comments like these are music to my ears. Enjoy and happy new year. – Kevin]

S.Q. in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, writes: I played [Palladium RPGs] as a kid 35 years ago and started getting back into it two years ago as an adult. I leave my books out occasionally and my 16-year old son picked up the core Rifts book and immediately got a game going with his friends. He’s hooked and it’s very nostalgic for me watching him play. Rifts® is his first table top RPG.

[I love these stories of discovery, S.Q., I think this is awesome. I hope you both continue to enjoy our games for years to come. – Kevin]

D.B. in Indianapolis, Indiana, writes: Thank you guys so much for putting the Surprise Packages together. This is a gift for my younger brother. He and I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We’d ride our bikes to Napoleon’s RPG and Miniatures store and play TMNT & Other Strangeness. My favorite mutant animal was always the ferret. His was the ankylosaurus.

[Great story, D.B., I love hearing these tales of role-playing. Mutant ferrets are cool, but it’s hard to beat any mutant dinosaur. Jurassic Park has got nothing on Palladium. Erick Wujcik’s time travel rules, mutant dinosaurs, and Jim Lawson’s incredible artwork has always made TMNT Transdimensional Adventures a personal favorite of mine. – Kevin]

A.S. in Cheney, Washington, writes (in part): You guys have been great. This isn’t my first Surprise package … love your work … My current group has had a running campaign for over five years now.

[Glad you enjoy the Surprise Packages, A.S., and use the books as fuel for your long-running campaign. Game on. – Kevin]

B.C. in Gilbert, Arizona, writes (in part): Rifts/Palladium has meant a great deal. My brother stumbled upon it around 1990. It was very special to us and I have collected [for years] … I don’t get to play like I used to, but I will always support Palladium. I am grateful to have your world as part of my world. Thank you.

[B.C., I’m pleased our books have given you so much joy and good memories. Thank you for your kind words and support. Game on. – Kevin]

R.D. in Kirkland, Washington, writes (in part): Thank you for offering the Christmas Package every year – the surprises are truly amazing! I also wanted to express my deep gratitude for all the wonderful books you have created and published. Rifts® and Palladium Fantasy were my best sources of entertainment while I was serving in the Navy in the Gulf from 1996 to 1999. I have genuinely enjoyed every single book I have used to create amazing campaigns with my shipmates, friends, and family. Here’s a wonderful irony in my journey: In the third grade I found your first edition After the Bomb sourcebook on the playground – and I’ve been a dedicated fan ever since! The Adventures I’ve been able to take my friends on are all due to your books. Thank you again for everything.

[It was destiny, R.D., you were meant to find that book and become an RPG player. Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing, I love it. – Kevin]

T.F. in Ocala, Florida, writes: I am excited to see what Sean will do going forward with the books. The TMNT & Other Strangeness Redux books are amazing, I love his work with Titan Robotics, and I’m anticipating Yin-Sloth Expeditions from Kevin. The Beastmaster class [from Yin-Sloth Jungles] fits my wife like a glove and I use it in my Dinosaur Swamp game with Chaos Earth characters. Last year I received the Dead Reign mug and fell in love with it. You guys allow me to do anything my imagination creates.

[That’s the magic of quality RPGs and sourcebooks, T.F., they light up your imagination. Keep it burning and game on throughout the new year. Sean and I are only getting started! You’re gonna love Yin-Sloth Expeditions, Rifts® Antarctica, Rifts® First Responders, Bestiary Volume 2, and the other epic books and plans we are quietly hatching behind the scenes for 2026. – Kevin]

R.S. in Tucson, Arizona, writes: Thank you all again for the great Surprise Packages. I hope you all have a wonderful year!

[You are very welcome, R.S., and best wishes for a wonderful new year to you and yours as well. – Kevin]
