Cry of the Nightbane^® SALE – 30% off

Nothing has been the same since Dark Day.

The world you knew is gone — buried beneath shadows, lies, and things that should not exist. Supernatural horrors stalk the streets, winged monsters hunt from the skies, and dark magic claws at the fabric of reality itself.

Only you, the Nightbane, can see the truth. The governments, the police, the systems meant to protect us — all infiltrated by the wicked, shapechanging Nightlords. Humanity is blind, but the Nightbane are not.

Gifted with vision, magic, and terrifying superhuman powers, the Nightbane may be the world’s last hope. But to fight monsters, you must become one — unleashing your own monstrous form to battle the darkness on its own terms.

Nightbane® is Palladium’s urban fantasy horror RPG of hidden truths, nightmare transformations, and supernatural shadow war. Now, with the new AudioRPG crowdfunding campaign, the shadows have a voice.

To celebrate, Palladium is offering a special sale on Nightbane® sourcebooks and select horror titles.

Step beyond the veil. Enter the Nightlands.

Rare Palladium Collectibles Now Available

at Kevin’s Online Toy & Collectibles eBay Store

Palladium collectibles, books, artwork, negatives, action figures, toys, and rare items from Kevin Siembieda’s personal collection are available now in this Ebay store!

These one-of-a-kind Palladium Books negatives have become fan-favorite collectibles at the Palladium Open House, Gen Con, and other conventions. Before digital printing, book pages were laid out by hand, photographed, and turned into negatives for production. Today, those original negatives stand on their own as unique pieces of Palladium history. Matted or framed on a white background, they look like striking woodcut-style prints — and they are on sale right now!

Closing Thoughts – Laugh in the face of Darkness

There are all kinds of sales happening for Palladium’s Urban Fantasy RPG: Nightbane. And you won’t want to miss them.

Physical Nightbane books and select other horror titles are on sale on our web store. PDF books are on sale at DriveThruRPG.com, and for the first time ever, the complete collection of Nightbane® RPG and Sourcebooks are available as:

• Audiobooks for easy reference, inspiration, and setting the mood for your games. Only from the AudioRPG Backerkit crowdfunding campaign

  .

• Physical, red foil, super-limited edition, Collector Hardcover editions of the RPG and each of the Nightbane sourcebooks for the first time ever! Palladium has NEVER made hardcovers of these sourcebooks and we don’t know if we ever will, so this is probably your only chance to get them as hardcover books. Each is likely to be limited to fewer than 300 copies. Available only from the AudioRPG Backerkit crowdfunding campaign.

• You can also get a limited set of Nightbane dice in a wooden box. Very cool.

We’ve heard grumbling that you can only get the foil books BUNDLED with the audiobook and PDF for $59. I don’t understand this complaint, myself. It’s like getting the audiobook and PDF for FREE along with a super-limited edition Collectors Hardcover that you can ONLY GET via this special offer — sounds like a deal to me.

What’s that? You don’t listen to audiobooks and an audioRPG sounds dumb to you? Hmm, maybe give it a try? You might like it. I can tell you they sound great and I enjoy them more than I ever imagined. Of course they’re gonna be bundled with the books – the company offering them is an audiobook maker! Did you ever consider that if these RPG audiobooks really take off, that you’ll be a first adopter on the cutting edge of a new gaming trend? Be adventurous like one of your game characters. Try something new – like a Nightbane audiobook or three.

By the way, the books will be printed by the same company that Palladium uses for its hardcovers, so you know the quality will be top notch.

In other news, we are thrilled that people are loving our new, short reel videos recently appearing on YouTube, Google, Facebook, Instagram, and soon to appear on TikTok, and elsewhere. You’ve also been loving the long, 20-40 minute chats we’ve been posting for the past year. More of both are coming so keep your eyes and ears peeled.

The new Island at the Edge of the World, 2nd Edition (fantasy) and ALL editions of the TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG Redux edition, the Transdimensional Adventures sourcebook, GM Screen, and Mutagen Green Dice have been blowing out the door. Fantastic and thank you for your support. The evocative Black, White, & Red Editions too. Please spread the word that all these beautiful, remastered, updated, and fun RPG books are available now. Did you know you can make a mutant animal character in 10 minutes? Well, you can. A great game for beginner gamers (as well as experienced ones), and any TMNT fan.

Meanwhile, Sean and I are busy working on business opportunities, convention planning, and new books.

Hey, the world seems to be increasingly scary and unpredictable, but we need to keep our heads and try to stay positive. I was recently feeling very blue, but I stopped watching gloom and doom media hype, in favor of some comedies and action adventure, a little sunshine, and positive thinking. Find safety, sanity, and joy in playing RPGs and other games. It works! So does reading your favorite comic books and watching your favorite movies. By the way, the three of us who saw The Mandalorian and Grogu LOVED it. We left the theater laughing and filled with energy. Find the beauty and good life has to offer. Be the light and game on, my friends, game on.

Be safe this Memorial Day

My business partner, Sean Roberson is writing the Closing Thoughts this week so I just wanted to add my appreciation and respect to everyone who has served in the military, past or present, and those who lost someone during a war or military conflict, as well as to everyone who puts their lives on the line to protect others. It doesn’t matter whether you support the politics behind war, it’s the people in service trying to do what they believe is right that we remember this holiday weekend. My Dad and Uncle Skip served in the Air Force, my Uncle Ted made a career in the Navy, and many friends and family members have served in every branch of the military. Know that we at Palladium Books appreciate your service and thank you for your sacrifice. – With Love & Respect, Kevin

Palladium collectibles, books, artwork, and negatives, as well as action figures, toys, and other items from Kevin Siembieda’s personal collection are available from this Ebay store!

One-of-a-kind Palladium Books negatives are always very popular items at the Palladium Open House, Gen Con, and conventions, and are catching on as rare collectibles, unique in and of themselves. Last year at Granite State Comic Con, Kevin Eastman had TMNT negatives from the first comic book on display.

Before digital printing, pages of a book were laid out by hand on a board, and each page was photographed. These are the photographic negatives being sold as individual works of art and collectibles. When matted or framed on a white background they look like dynamic wood cut prints. And they are on sale right now!

CLOSING THOUGHTS

Memorial Day Message — from Sean Owen Roberson

Howdy Rifters,

As a United States military veteran and someone blessed with a long line of ancestors who served this nation before me, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on Memorial Day as observed here in the USA – as well as the overall sentiment as reflected in other nations and cultures worldwide.

Unlike Veterans Day in November, which celebrates everyone living who has served in the military, Memorial Day is focused on those who died while serving in the armed forces. Whether you are American, European, Chinese, etc. we all have forebearers who we owe a debt of gratitude to. Many of them are distant cousins and great uncles who died young and never lived to raise a family.

Our modern world is built on the sacrifice of the brave men and women who came before us, with the ultimate sacrifice being those who died fighting for the freedoms and ideals that we enjoy – and often take for granted. The world we live in is far from perfect, but if you are reading this newsletter you are one of the most privileged human beings to ever walk the Earth.

I was recently working on a video about the “Golden Age of Humanity” for our YouTube channel, and in it I described how this future was a time with the most advanced medicines, technologies, and goods and services ever experienced in the history of mankind. The same can be said about us today! Heck, this may be as good as it gets.

I think we can all agree that our current society is far from perfect. The best way to make the world a better place is by becoming the change we want to see. Our challenge is to make self-improvement our personal responsibility, and change the world by being a better part of it. This is one of the best ways we can honor the memory of the fallen this Memorial Day, and every day.

Being a better person isn’t about some instant transformation, it’s about doing the best you can little by little, day by day. Start with small things and work your way up. Be a good friend, today. Run a fun game, today. Bring joy and security to those around you, today… then next week… and next month.

Be better. Do better. Game on.

Palladium Collectibles – at Kevin’s Online Toy & Collectibles eBay Store

New books and excitement

We are pleased to announce that the updated and remastered Island at the Edge of the World Fantasy Sourcebook is now available. This book is written by Thomas Bartold, one of the fabled Defilers. Like most of our books, it is chock-full of surprises, strange magic, magic items, sinister villains, new adventure settings, and numerous adventures plus ideas for more. The updated grayscale art breathes new life into this fan-favorite book which has been out of print for a few years. Enjoy.

Also check out the 7 deluxe Nightbane red foil hardcovers being offered in the AudioRPG crowdfunder, along with a complete set of the Nightbane audiobooks and a cool set of Nightbane dice. It launches next Tuesday, May 19th. This is the first time the Nightbane sourcebooks have ever been available as hardcovers. When AudioRPG asked to make these books available as part of the crowdfunder, I immediately agreed because I knew you’d love ‘em and because I want a set for myself (lol). I’ve spoken to a number of you who plan to snag some, if not all, of these attractive, crimson foil, hardcovers as well as the audiobooks. Sweet. Please spread the word.

Please note that Sean and I have our own plans to make dice and other fun game accessories and compilations available in upcoming Palladium crowdfunders.

Speaking of cool compilations, don’t miss out on the TMNT Birthday Sale which ends in the next 5 days. Saving $10 on each of these beautiful hardcovers and the liquid-filled Mutagen Green dice set is huge. Each Redux hardcover contains three of your favorite TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG titles, remastered, expanded, in luscious color and with fun bonus art and information.

Otherwise we’ve been busy planning for Gen Con, Granite State Comic Con, and tradeshows, as well as working on books, licenses, and other things you’ll enjoy.

Hang tough during these crazy and uncertain times, escape into role-playing game worlds, and try to look on the bright side of life.

In Memoriam: Jodi Black — from Sean Owen Roberson

Dear Palladium Family,

I regret to inform you that our friend Jodi Black – Chief Operations Officer of Pinnacle Entertainment Group and Savage Worlds “den mother” – passed away this past Saturday surrounded by her family and many many friends. Jodi bravely fought an aggressive lung disease for many months, and we are all saddened to see her go.

As my fellow Texan and game designer Ed Wetterman said, “Some people just exist, never really making a mark, or a difference. Others are meteors streaking through a night sky in brilliant and sharp contrast to the darkness around them. Jodi Black is one of those people.”

Jodi was always fiercely protective, fiercely loving, and fiercely engaged. She did everything fiercely, and had a positive impact on everyone she met or worked with.

Jodi helped show me the ropes of working in the tabletop industry. When you hear me tell my story about a kind motherly woman threatening to break my fingers if I ever announced a Savage Worlds book out of turn, that was Jodi. She also personally introduced me to Kevin at GenCon 2019, and she and Clint always gave me invaluable support and advice as I worked to break into our niche industry as an author and designer. I learned a lot from her. I hope I learned enough. She was a model of the patience and love that I often struggle with.

From my conversations with all of you at GenCon, the Palladium Open House, the recent Weekend with Kevin event, and countless online interactions, I know that many of you are either fans of playing Rifts for Savage Worlds or enjoy the books because of the art, stories, and adventure material regardless of a different set of RPG rules. Jodi and her husband Clint Black, who co-designed the first edition of Savage Rifts as well as the Adventure Edition of Savage Worlds, are a huge part of what makes Pinnacle Entertainment Group the special company it is. If you engaged with Savage Worlds, I can almost guarantee that you also engaged with Jodi – whether you realized it or not. So I wanted to let you know about her passing. Please click this link to see Pinnacle’s official announcement and more details.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

Jodi Black will be missed

Jodi Black was one of those people who made the world a better and brighter place just by being in it.

She was a ball of energy and good cheer. She was a dear friend and cheerleader of everyone she knew – and that was an army of people. When a younger Sean, new to the Pinnacle Savage Rifts team, wanted to meet me in person for the very first time at a Gen Con, it was Jodi who walked him over to the Palladium booth to make the introduction. When Sean returned after an hour or so of conversation with me, Jodi greeted him with: “Kevin’s great, right?” That’s Jodi in a nutshell. Kind, helpful, and full of life.

Our sincere condolences and love to her husband Clint, Jodi’s biological family, her Pinnacle family, and everyone who knew and loved her. This loss hurts so badly because we were the ones blessed to have had Jodi in our lives for the all-too-short time that she walked and laughed and gamed amongst us. Thankfully, she’ll remain in our hearts forever.
