BIG News – Ninja Turtles License Ending – Mechanoids Redux Collection & Glitter Boy Codex – Weekly Update

CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF RPG FUN

A LEGACY OF INNOVATION – ONE GAME SYSTEM – ENDLESS ADVENTURE

By Kevin Siembieda and Daniel Lansdown

All TMNT & Other Strangeness Products – Marked Down 40%

Effective immediately, Palladium’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness Mutagen Green Dice, Game Screen, and RPG books are all marked down 40%.

NEWS! We had some cool ideas for brand new TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG books and accessories, but we were unable to reach mutually acceptable licensing terms and Palladium Books has chosen not to renew the Ninja Turtles license.

This was a mutual decision by Sean and I. We have cherished the opportunity to bring one of the most beloved role-playing games and sourcebooks of all time back in dramatic fashion collected into two deluxe, full-color, updated, Redux Editions. The books feature the classic Palladium RPG rules system – revised and clarified for modern sensibilities – remastered with a fresh easy-to-use layout. Each book is jam-packed with all-new material including bonus artwork, upgraded adventures, 20 new mutant animals, new animal abilities, Feral combat style, Karai, the Fugatoid, Ferreterick, expanded vehicle creation and combat rules, 33 pages of tribute art, behind the scenes information, history, and remembrances by notable comic book and gaming artists, creators, and friends.

We are immensely proud of these beautiful game books and RPG accessories. There are no regrets, only joy. Palladium’s TMNT & Other Strangeness Kickstarter was a huge success, we thrilled fans, and we were reunited with Kevin Eastman, Peter Laird, Freddie E. Williams II, Mike Majestic, and our old friends at Mirage Studio. We had a grand experience working with Paramount and thank them for the beautiful opportunity they gave us with Turtles.

Along the way, we made new friends with amazing human beings such as Sophie Campbell, Luis Delgado, Jeremy Colwell, Ciro Nieli, Fiona and Kevin Russel, amongst many others. Sean and I had the time of our lives celebrating Eastman and Laird, the Turtles, and the late, great Erick Wujcik. We brought back fond memories to millions of role-players and put a smile on the face of everyone who backed the historic Kickstarter or made a purchase this year.

A special call out and our heartfelt gratitude to all the wonderful gamers and Turtles fans who backed the TMNT & Other Strangeness Kickstarter. Your generous support and trust in us helped make it all possible. We applaud you and thank you so very much.

Now, it’s time for Palladium to focus on other opportunities close to our hearts. That starts with the Glitter Boy Codex Backerkit crowdfunder launching October 20th. You can get all the news and updates by joining the Pre-Launch Page.

It will be followed by the release of long awaited RPG titles, bold innovations, and an array of surprises that will blow your mind and make you smile all the more. As Erick Wujcik would say, “It’s all good.”

Detroit Historical Museum – 5401 Woodward Ave, Detroit, Michigan, 48202 – telephone: 313-833-1805 – Admission: $15 for adults, Children 6-12 $8. Closed Monday and Tuesday. The Mechanoids® Redux Edition is Coming to the  Glitter Boy Codex Crowdfunder!

Before the Terminator. Before the Matrix. Before Rifts, Phase World, or Aliens Unlimited. There was The Mechanoids.

Did you hear the news?! The Mechanoids Redux Edition: The Complete RPG Collection is part of the Rifts® Glitter Boy Codex crowdfunder (launches October 20, 2026), and commemorates Palladium’s 45th Anniversary. This huge, 320+ page book will collect the original Mechanoid Trilogy: The Mechanoid Invasion (1981), The Journey (1982), and Homeworld (1983), parts of Rifts Mechanoids Sourcebook (1992), AND the long forgotten The Mechanoids® RPG (1985) that contained an extra hundred pages of source material, artwork, vehicles, weapons, and more that has been completely unavailable for over three decades!

Sean has called the 1985 Mechanoids RPG “a lost and forgotten gem” – and the Mechanoids “a dark science fiction setting and characters ahead of its time.” Which is why he wants to collect and completely remaster it all into one big, beautiful, Redux Edition with new layout, updated material, and full color art. How could I say no?

The Mechanoids® Redux Edition – The Complete RPG Collection. Highlights:

  • Written by Kevin Siembieda; with an adventure series by Erick Wujcik.

  • Redux design, layout, and updates by Sean Owen Roberson.

  • Rules Upgrade: The original Mechanoids, Palladium’s first RPG, was a rough prototype of what was to come. Now the popular Redux rules upgrade the Mechanoids experience to the classic Palladium Megaversal RPG system – revised and clarified for modern sensibilities.

  • Expanded vehicle combat rules, including the comprehensive Redux rules for land, sea, and aerospace combat (first featured in TMNT Transdimensional Adventures).

  • Artwork remastered for modern printing, scanned from the original production boards, this is a huge visual upgrade over what was possible in the early 1980s.

  • 80% of the artwork is by Kevin Siembieda. Remember, most of you have never seen the 100 pages worth of additional art, characters, gear, or the cover painting from the 1985 RPG  that has been out of print for 30+ years.

  • Never before seen art, I (Kevin) have dug up many pages of additional art created back in the day.

  • Additional art by William Messner-Loebs, Newton Ewel, Kevin Long, Mike Gustovich, and James A. Osten.

  • Newly colored for the very first time by Luis Antonio Delgado, renowned colorist of The Last Ronin, amongst many other books.

  • Deluxe, full color hardcover for this incredible collection.

  • 320+ pages – another dream project for me (Kevin) and Sean.

Closing Thoughts – Palladium and the Ninja Turtles

Before rumors and wild speculation begin to swirl, Sean and I want to make it very clear that walking away from the Ninja Turtles license was our choice. Our decision. And it’s the right one for Palladium Books.

When the license came up for renewal, Palladium was unable to reach mutually acceptable terms with Paramount. We love the Ninja Turtles and had plenty of ideas for new TMNT products, and discussed with Paramount many of the things that you have been asking for, but walking away at this time is what’s best for the company – what’s best for you and us. This is not unusual. Most licenses end after a few years. Palladium’s history of licenses that span decades is not typical.

Palladium has maintained an amicable relationship with Paramount and we leave in good standing with nothing but warm regard for the people we have worked with. Who knows what the future may hold for Palladium and the Ninja Turtles.

Moving forward without the Ninja Turtles license is okay. Palladium has a lot of other opportunities and untapped potential. A lot. Most immediate is of course Palladium’s own Intellectual Properties, old and new, continuing our emphasis on releasing announced projects for Rifts, Palladium Fantasy, and Beyond the Supernatural titles (see the Project Status page here [[insert inline link]]), before expanding into our other settings. Heck, the newly announced Mechanoids Redux Edition is a perfect example of the cool things we have planned for the future.

You might find it interesting to know that Rifts continues to be Palladium’s bestselling RPG game line of all time, far outselling TMNT and all other licensed Palladium games combined (yes, more than TMNT, Robotech, and Macross II combined ~Sean). The Glitter Boy Codex being the first-ever Rifts book with a full color hardcover option, GM screen, dice, and other accessories shows you just how important Rifts is to us, to you, and to and the future of Palladium.

I’m afraid we can’t share with you the many opportunities currently under development and being explored, but we are certain you’ll be pleased when we reveal them, one after another.

Is Palladium Books done with licenses? Of course not. We’ve been pursuing a particular one for a while now. We’ll let you know as soon as the contract is signed.

The Ninja Turtles will always hold a special place in our hearts. I was there from almost the very beginning. Kevin, Peter, and I became friends. And I was the guy who made the introduction to Mark Freedman at Surge Licensing that sent the Turtles on the trajectory to become a global phenomenon. Me, Sean, and the Palladium crew have nothing but love for the Turtles, Kevin, Peter, and the many creators adding to the Turtles legacy with new adventures for generations to come. We wish them and Paramount our very best. And as we have said, who knows if Palladium isn’t destined to do more with the Ninja Turtles in the future. Only time will tell.

So be excited about Palladium’s future, we are. Tell everyone about the Glitter Boy Codex Crowdfunder Prelaunch page, enjoy the Palladium Horror Sale, and snag yourself some of the TMNT & Other Strangeness books, dice, and game screen from Palladium while you still can. They are fabulous, fun, and will become a beloved part of your game collection.

By the way, many of the TMNT & Other Strangeness variant covers and exclusive rewards have already been selling at collector prices before this announcement. Now they should all skyrocket in value as limited edition collector items. Buy them up as holiday gifts for friends and family, collect them, play them, and proudly display them on your gaming shelf. We do.

Please spread the word about the Glitter Boy Crowdfunder and that the Mechanoids Redux: The Complete RPG Collection is one of the many unique rewards, as well as word that TMNT & Other Strangeness products are on sale at marked down prices while supplies last. From one proud mutant to another, thank you and game on.

Philadelphia Area Gaming Expo (PAGE)

will be here before you know it – January 14-17, 2027

This is another fun and rapidly growing convention. A must for gamers in the northeastern U.S., especially old school gamers!

Last year it had nearly 100 guests – many of them legends in the role-playing game industry. Including little ol’ me, Kevin Siembieda, Matthew Balent, Matt Forbeck, Frank Mentzer, Zeb Cook, Ed Stark, Jeff Dee, Darlene, Harold Johnson, Professor Dungeon Master, Kelsey Dionne (Shadowdark), Chris Arneson, and dozens more.

I will be back as a guest, and I’m scheduled for two panel talks with J-M DeFoggi. I believe Jim Zub, writer of Conan for Titan Comics, is one of the new guests this year. The Saturday Night auction is amazing too.

Live Streams & Social Media Fun

Kevin & Sean have been busy sharing the news!

Friday Night Live by the Philadelphia Area Game Expo – A fun online chat with Kevin Siembieda. Check out the Friday Night Live on the Philadelphia Area Game Expo website/YouTube Channel.

I did a fun livestream on the show with Ron Meischler, Phil Wert, Jennifer Cash the Blind Bard, and fellow guest Rob Aldermann at Pulp Hummock Press (his Overlords of Steel RPG crowdfunder, it looks very interesting).  We had a blast talking about a lot of different subjects.

Also check out the most recent Legion of Myth chats.  Sean and Kevin had a very fun time talking about the Glitter Boy crowdfunder and The Mechanoids RPG Redux edition reveal.

And that’s not all. Palladium Books YouTube channel now has new weekly posts! There’s a new chat with Sean Owen Roberson about the GB Codex last week, Kevin Siembieda talks about The Mechanoids this week,  and coming this month Rifts Mercenaries, Kevin’s take on Palladium Alignments, a new bit about the history of Palladium Books,  Northern Gun, and more. Each is fun and provides new insight about our many games and sourcebooks.

Don’t forget to follow us on social media to watch our reels too. Plus, Daniel is about to start a fun weekly art series on our social media pages showing off the amazing art of Palladium Books and highlighting the many incredible artist we have had the pleasure of working with.

Closing Thoughts – Glitter Boys and Mechanoids

Wow, the Glitter Boy Codex crowdfunder Pre-Launch is off to an amazing start. As of this writing we already have more than 1,700 followers with 20 days to go before the Backerkit campaign goes live. Not only that, more that 700 of you wonderful maniacs have made a $5 reservation to get $30 of additional rewards when you back the campaign. Wow. Cool. Please continue to spread the word because this crowdfunder is awesome.

The Glitter Boy Codex presents all kinds of new source material, weapons, gear, and history about the classic USA10 Glitter Boy. Not to mention great artwork and rewards like a Game Master Screen, dice sets, playmats, etc. Plus, we’ll be doing the sourcebook as a black and white softcover AND as a full color hardcover, and a special chromatic foil cover edition.

The Mechanoid Collection Redux Edition is also a big part of the Glitter Boy Crowdfunder. This includes the long lost and largely forgotten 1985 Mechanoids RPG which contained 100 pages of new source material, plus seldom and never before seen art, characters, equipment, and more.

This is all super-exciting for us, especially me, Will Erwin (GB writer), Sean Roberson (writer and designer of both books), and Daniel Lansdown (marketing). I love the new material for Glitter Boys and I’m thrilled the lost Mechanoids material is finding new life and a new audience in the Complete Collection.

Plus we’re getting reprint books in stock for Christmas and work continues on Rifts Bestiary Volume 2, Rifts Antarctica, Yin-Sloth Expeditions, and other projects.

So enjoy the two Palladium Horror Sales (books from BTS, Dead Reign, Nightbane, Rifts, Palladium Fantasy) and PDFs of those same books and more from DriveThru. Also take a look at the TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG products because they are fun, beautiful, and completely usable with all our other RPGs, and enjoy your weekend.

September 27, 2026

Kevin Siembieda and Sean Owen Roberson return to Legion of Myth this Sunday, September 27, starting at noon, with a big reveal about the upcoming crowdfunder. It’s very cool and you won’t want to miss it.

Naturally, the Rifts® Glitter Boy Codex will be a big topic of conversation as well as the big reveal, along with a fun dive into Palladium’s running theme about human augmentation and Transhumanism, in Rifts and our many other games, plus the exciting crowdfunder reveal.

Those of you who have watched these before know things can go just about anywhere, but are always fun.

Tune in and join the conversation.

AVAILABLE NOW! A new fun online Chat. Check out the September 11, Friday Night Live on the Philadelphia Area Game Expo website/YouTube Channel. Kevin did a fun livestream on the show with Ron Meischler, Phil Wert, Jennifer Cash the Blind Bard, and fellow guest Rob Aldermann at Pulp Hummock Press (his Overlords of Steel RPG crowdfunder, it looks very interesting).  We had a blast talking about a lot of different subjects. Check it out below!

Closing Thoughts – What a Weekend … and Bring on October!

Granite State Comic Con was another great reminder of something that is often forgotten. Especially when you spend most of your days working behind a desk, packing orders, editing books, answering emails, and trying to keep your publishing company moving forward:

We Inspire – We create memories – We bring people together

This is all about the people, community, and fun. This past weekend we got to see many old friends, make new ones, hear stories from Palladium veterans and Ninja Turtles fans, sign books that have clearly been loved for decades, laugh a lot, talk about the good-ol-days, and get excited about what’s to come.

For me, Daniel, there is something surreal about getting to hear so many fan stories that are so similar to my own. But now on the other side of the booth table, seeing just how much these games, books, characters, and creators mean to people. From inspiring fellow artists I’ve grown to admire like Freddie E. Williams II or Ciro Nieli, to bringing families together over generations.

These interactions and warm moments make Granite State Comic Con special and keeps us excited about our work when we get back at the Palladium offices. September has been one heck of an adventure for us …

Now bring on October!

October happens to be one of our favorite months for both me, Daniel, and Kevin Siembieda. Cooler weather. Changing leaves. Apple cider mills. Halloween. Monsters. Horror movies. Late-night gaming. Imagination running a little wilder than usual. And Palladium goodness all around. This October is going to be even more exciting than most.

So thanks for coming along for the ride. But this ain’t no cozy little hayride, this is raw excitement, a thrill-a-minute, nail biting kind of Thrill-ride. We have the End of Summer Super-Sale wrapping up over the weekend (it ends next Wednesday, September 30th), and the Rifts® Glitter Boy Codex crowdfunder launching October 20th. Get previews and new reveals for it every week when you sign up to the GB Codex Pre-Launch Page! Not to mention the big crowdfunder reveal on Legion of Myth this Sunday. (It makes me so happy and I think most of you will love it too.I can’t wait to share it with you. – Kevin).

Our thanks to everyone who made Granite State Comic Con such a memorable weekend for us, and thanks, as always, for your enthusiasm, fandom, and support.

(I’d like to add my special thanks to Peter Porcaro, Mike X, Michelle, Jeff “Mr. Hyperborea,” the couple in the elevator, and all the fans who stopped by the Palladium Books booth. It was a pleasure chatting with you and signing your books. Also to Kevin Eastman, Freddie E.Williams II, Ciro Nieli, Lois Antonio Delgado, Jim Lawson, Steve Lavigne, Mateus Santolouco, Camillo Di Pietrantonio, Rob Denner, Chris Vance, Rain, Jeff Whitman, Brian Young, Big Al, and last, but most certainly not least, Doug Shute for making me and the crew feel special, important, and welcomed. Thank you. I love you all. Game on. – Kevin)

Closing Thoughts – A Rollicking End to Summer and an Explosive Start to Autumn

Granite State Comic Con is this weekend, so naturally the Ninja Turtles have been on our minds.

I can hardly believe that I have known “the boys” – Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird (not to mention Jim Lawson, Steve Levigne, Eric Talbot and other Mirage Studio artists) – since the very beginning. It’s also hard to believe Palladium Books was the first TMNT license and the first to introduce the idea of other mutant animals. Or that Erick Wujcik was so inspired that he knocked out one of the most beloved role-playing games ever. Or that I was the guy who introduced Kevin and Peter to Mark Freedman of Surge Licensing. What a wild ride.

You can read all about it in the TMNT & Other Strangeness Redux Edition along with fond remembrances from many of them, along with 17 pages of tribute art in that one book, and another 15 pages in Transdimensional Adventures.

I’m proud of my friends and the wonderful legacy they have created for generations of us all to enjoy. I marvel at the array of new, talented writers and artists expanding the TMNT universe and love watching them take it to new heights. Bravo, Ladies and Gentlemen, bravo. You’ve brought the world so much joy across so many mediums – comic books, graphic novels, animation, movies, toys, action figures, clothing … I better stop there.

That’s what makes going to Granite State Comic Con so special to us. It’s a celebration with old friends and new ones, warm and fuzzy Ninja Turtle nostalgia, and inspiring glimpses of their continuing future.

By the way, you may be surprised to learn that the TMNT & Other Strangeness Redux RPG and Transdimensional Adventures sourcebook offer sweeping possibilities as supplements for Rifts. Those mutant animals can be used to create D-Bees, Coalition mutants, and monsters, heroes, and villains from beyond the rifts. Create mutant dinosaurs to populate Rifts Dinosaur Swamp, South America, and the New West. Create mutant experiments from the Lone Star Complex, or aliens for Phase World and the Three Galaxies. Meanwhile, Transdimensional Adventures – with its time travel and dimensional travel rules and magic – is compatible with the dimension spawning concepts of Rifts, and suitable for sending characters on unexpected adventures in new dimensions or across time.

The TMNT & Other Strangeness Redux RPG and related products will be available at Granite State Comic Con – as well as on sale for the next two weeks for the multitude of gamers who cannot join us at the convention. We want everyone to discover and enjoy the Ninja Turtles role-playing game and create their own legion of mutant animal heroes, villains, and enthralling adventures.

Other stuff …

  • Rifts fans! Check out and sign up to the Rifts Glitter Boy Codex – Backerkit pre-launch Page! You will not want to miss any of the very cool offerings in this crowdfunding campaign, especially the special 45th Anniversary book I am forbidden to reveal just yet.

  • Take a listen to the fun and silliness of the September 11, Friday Night Live on the Philadelphia Area Game Expo website/YouTube Channel with Ron, Phil, Jenn, and Rob. I love these folks and the PAGE convention.

  • The Worlds of Palladium exhibit has come to an end. My thanks to the curators who made this exhibit possible, and to everyone who made the pilgrimage to come see it.

We’ll see some of you at Granite State. The rest of you enjoy the End of Summer Super-Sale for huge savings and heroic fun that will keep you warm all fall and winter.

CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF RPG FUN

A LEGACY OF INNOVATION – ONE GAME SYSTEM – ENDLESS ADVENTURE

By Kevin Siembieda and Daniel Lansdown

I hope you all enjoyed the long Labor Day Weekend. I (Kevin) got a lot of work done, despite dealing with a three day power outage at home, and managed to sneak in fun with friends and family. I saw Spiderman: A Brand New Day for the third time with Alex (I love this movie) and saw Coyote vs. ACME (enjoyable), as well as visited with an old friend and Defiler, Thom Bartold, and hung out a bit with two of my neighbors.

Oh, and our thanks to those of you who have been supporting our Game Night Weekend Adventure Sales. We’ve tried to have something special for you every week or two this summer. I guess that’s mutual support, because we’re offering 30-40% discounts during those sales to help your bank account and keep you feeling hopeful and distracted despite all the economic uncertainty, high gas prices, and political rhetoric. Stand strong, game on, and keep the positivity flowing.

There’s a lot of positive energy here at Palladium Books as we move forward on several fronts.

Last Weekend to see the Worlds of Palladium Exhibit Closes September 13th – Detroit Historical Museum

I went to the exhibit Labor Day Weekend with Daniel and some friends. They loved it. I still can’t believe the Detroit Historical Museum paid me this great honor. Final days now through Sunday, September 13th.

Worlds of Palladium celebrates Palladium Books, Detroit’s role-playing game history, and the creators and fans who helped tabletop gaming grow from a niche hobby into the worldwide phenomenon it is today. Artwork, history, and pieces from Palladium’s past help tell the story of more than four decades of imagination and adventure.

And while you’re in town, give Palladium a call and see if you can swing by the office. We are only 30 minutes away from the Museum. If Kevin and the crew are available, we are always happy to meet fans, sign some books, and show you our little idea factory.

Detroit Historical Museum

5401 Woodward Ave., Detroit, Michigan 48202

Telephone: 313-833-1805

Admission: $15 adults; $8 children ages 6-12

Closing Thoughts – A Rollicking End to Summer and an Explosive Start to Autumn

Summer ends with the Montreal Universal Summit this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Followed by Granite State Comic Con, the unofficial Ninja Turtles convention with Kevin Eastman and many TMNT artists and creators present. I’m on three panel talks, one with Kevin Eastman. And Palladium will have a booth in the gaming room next to Artist Alley with a ton of TMNT & Other Strangeness products and After the Bomb books, along with Rifts, Fantasy, Heroes Unlimited, and other Palladium RPG titles. What a great opportunity to get your game books signed by Eastman and other TMNT creators. Daniel and I will bring some RPG books to be signed for our own collections. I mean, how often do you have Kevin Eastman and the Mirage Studio and IDW artists at one convention!

Followed by the September 27, Legion of Myth game chat. We love doing these with Max and Heathen Dog as much as you folks enjoy listening to them.

By the way, we have gone weekly with brand new video chats with me, Kevin Siembieda, and J-M DeFoggi on the Palladium Books YouTube channel. There are new reels coming too. Yes, I’m a very busy, boy. We all are.

Autumn starts with a bang in the form of the Rifts Glitter Boy Codex Crowdfunder coming to Backerkit. The Palladium office had been buzzing over this new sourcebook and all the super-cool backer rewards and add-ons available. Stuff you will love, including different versions of the Glitter Boy Codex, Rifts Game Screen, dice, poker deck, etc., and one very special item close to my heart. We’ve been planning this Backerkit crowdfunder for months and it is epic. It’s about so much more than one epic sourcebook. You’ll love everything it has to offer, and the Glitter Boy Codex is outstanding all by itself. Please, please, please spread the word far and wide. Thanks.

If we can stay on track, you’ll also see the release of Rifts Bestiary Volume 2 and Yin-Sloth Expeditions by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, we’re working on other books and a new RPG license that we think will blow your minds and put a smile on your face. And this is just the stuff I can tell you about or hint at. Big things are coming.

Enjoy the DriveThru Rifter Sale, please join us at Granite State Comic Con if you can, enroll on the Rifts Glitter Boy Codex Pre-Launch Page and spread the word.

Labor Day Sale – Weekly Update – Sept 3, 2026

CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF RPG FUN

A LEGACY OF INNOVATION – ONE GAME SYSTEM – ENDLESS ADVENTURE

By Kevin Siembieda and Daniel Lansdown

There is a ton of awesome stuff in the works that you’ll go gaga over – but this is the long Labor Day Weekend, so we’ll save all the exciting news for the next few Weekly Updates and focus on our pulse-pounding Labor Day Sale with a Palladium Megaverse® theme.

That means all TMNT® & Other Strangeness products and select Rifts® and other RPGs and sourcebooks are on sale at a 40% discount to end your summer with a bang.

A Hint at Things to Come

Sean, Daniel, and I were in meetings all yesterday morning and into early afternoon plotting and planning upcoming releases and future products. We are most excited about the all-new Rifts® Glitter Boy Codex crowdfunder and the many special items that will be offered with this dynamic new Rifts® sourcebook. That’s why you need to sign up on the pre-launch page and get all the news as it unfolds!

Here are some of them:

  • Glitter Boy Codex Softcover – Black-and-white interior art by Steven Cummings.

  • Glitter Boy Codex Hardcover – Full-color art throughout. This is the first full-color Rifts® book ever! Art by Steven Cummings, colors by Mike Majestic.

  • Rifts® Game Master Screen – In the same style as the TMNT® Game Master Screen.

  • 1–3 Dice Sets – Nine dice per set, packaged in a collector’s tin box.

  • 1–3 Rifts® Playmats

  • Metal Collector Coin – A new one for each crowdfunder moving forward.

  • Art Print Set

  • The Mechanoids Collection Hardcover – 45th Anniversary Edition

When Sean suggested we do something special with the very first RPG published by Palladium Books – The Mechanoid Trilogy – I immediately agreed.

This will be much more than a deluxe hardcover with a new cover. It will include the Rifts Mechanoid® Sourcebook, The Mechanoid Invasion® Trilogy, and the long lost 1985, 148 page Mechanoid® RPG, which contained 70+ pages of new source material – weapons, vehicles, gear, adventures, and more – created specifically for the Mechanoid Invasion portion of the trilogy, along with new 1985 artwork.

Everything will be remastered, typeset, and curated in the same spirit as the Cyberworks Collection by Sean Owen Roberson.

In the weeks to come, we’ll be adding more previews, artwork, and special offers to the Rifts® Glitter Boy Codex Pre-Launch Page on BackerKit.

From sneak peeks at legendary Glitter Boy suits and new factions to an early reservation surprise package that is sure to get your blood pumping and your mouth watering, there is plenty more still to be revealed.

Where else are you gonna meet Simon Bisley, Lawson, Lavigne, Berger, Talbot, Dooney, Doyle, Farley, Pe, Delgado, Williams II, Bishop, the Escorza Brothers, Rooth, Smith, Waltz, and dozens of other Ninja Turtles, comic book, and Hollywood icons like Lou Diamond Phillips, Khary Payton, voice actor James Saito (Shredder), and more.

We’ll be in the game room connected to Artists Alley with a slew of TMNT & Other Strangeness books and After the Bomb books to get signed by us, Eastman and the many other contributing artists at the convention.

Philadelphia Area Gaming Expo (PAGE)

January 14-17, 2027

This is another fun and rapidly growing convention. A must for gamers in the northeastern US, especially old school gamers!

Last year it had nearly 100 guests – many are legends in the role-playing game industry. Including little ol’ me, Kevin Siembieda, Matthew Balent, Matt Forbeck, Frank Mentzer, Zeb Cook, Ed Stark, Jeff Dee, Darlene, Harold Johnson, Professor Dungeon Master, Kelsey Dionne (Shadow Dark), Chris Arneson, and dozens more.

I will be back as a guest, and I’m in two panel talks with J-M DeFoggi. I believe Jim Zub (writer of Conan for Titan Comics) is one of the new guests.

The Saturday Night auction is amazing too. Join the fun.

Closing Thoughts – Be The Light While Having Fun

This week has been full of tears and laughter about the wonderful life of Dolly Parton, music superstar, who passed away last week.

Dolly should be an inspiration to all of us. Especially to us fellow creators and entertainers. She followed the beat of her own drummer, remained true to herself, and created music and entertainment that instilled people with decades of love, joy, and light. A legacy of kindness and inspiration that will continue for generations.

Dolly Parton is proof that we can all be the light and make a difference in the world if we try. You don’t have to be rich or famous to make a difference either. It’s all about being the light to the best of your ability for those around you. To be a source and catalyst for joy, kindness, and good clean fun.

Sean and I try to infuse every game, every crowdfunder, every interview, and every fan encounter with our genuine passion, gratefulness, love of RPGs, and wow factor that will excite, inspire, and bring you – our wonderful fans and supporters – endless hours of adventure, joy, and ideas for more fun. RPGs make lasting memories we cherish forever.

Enjoy your Labor Day excursions, 40% off Weekend Sale, and please stay safe and be happy. It’s all good. With love and gratitude,

– Kevin Siembieda, Game Designer, Writer, Friend

The Adventure Awaits – Weekly Update – August 27, 2026

CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF RPG FUN

A LEGACY OF INNOVATION – ONE GAME SYSTEM – ENDLESS ADVENTURE

By Kevin Siembieda and Daniel Lansdown

Adventure and magic are everywhere at Palladium Books right now.

New books are taking shape, crowdfunding campaigns are on the horizon, our YouTube library continues to grow, convention season is still going strong, and the Worlds of Palladium exhibit is entering its final three weeks at the Detroit Historical Museum.

And this weekend, we’re turning our attention to the Palladium Fantasy Role-Playing Game with another Game Night – Weekend Adventure Sale!

Whether your idea of adventure means exploring forgotten ruins, battling grotesque and terrifying monsters, dimension-hopping through time and space, diving into the supernatural, or witnessing the direct aftermath of the Great Cataclysm, there is one thing they all have in common: a gathering of like-minded souls eager to delve into the impossible and explore worlds unknown.

So sit down with close friends or join a completely new adventuring party and live the fantasy. You know you want to, and you’re sure to enjoy laughs, create lasting memories, and be challenged in ways you don’t expect.

There is a lot happening throughout the Megaverse®. Where will you begin your next adventure? Hmmm, maybe with one of the books in the new sale.

Explore Palladium Fantasy on YouTube

There is more to Palladium than the books on your shelf. Seriously, there is so much history, lore, and epic adventures to be shared that we can’t possibly describe them all at any one sitting or book. That’s why we’ve been sharing our adventures, thoughts, gaming philosophies, and history of Palladium Books with you on YouTube.

We’ve been having a lot of fun sharing the stories behind the scenes – the history of Palladium, the games we have created, legendary campaigns, crazy characters, design decisions, memories from the early days, and the people and ideas that helped shape the Megaverse®.

J-M DeFoggi and Kevin Siembieda (plus a few special guests) have recorded a growing video-library of conversations, interviews, and gaming stories found on the Palladium Books YouTube Channel, with even more new videos on the way. Most are designed to be timeless, so you can listen to them today or in the future.

With Fantasy taking center stage this weekend, here are three fun videos to watch or listen to within our History of Palladium Books Series.

Episode 6 – Palladium Fantasy Game

Go back to one of the earliest major milestones in Palladium’s history: the creation and launch of the Palladium Fantasy™ Role-Playing Game.

Kevin looks back at the beginnings of the game, its development, and the imagination that helped establish the foundation for so much of what Palladium would become.

Watch Palladium Fantasy Game – Episode 6

Episode 7 – The History of the Defilers – Part 1 of 4

This is where the story begins

Meet the Defilers, Kevin’s legendary Palladium Fantasy adventuring group, and discover some of the characters and wild campaign stories that helped bring the Palladium World to life. Lucifer the Sasquatch. The King of Rocks. Impossible situations, strange heroes, and the kind of unexpected storytelling that can only happen around a role-playing table.

Watch The History of the Defilers – Part 1

Episode 16 – The Defilers in Hell – Fantasy Adventure

Take the adventure much, much farther.

This episode brings the saga of the Defilers toward its conclusion with the secrets of the sword, the Time Hole, journeys into Hell, and more memories from one of Palladium’s most infamous campaigns.

It is a great example of how a role-playing campaign can grow from a handful of players and characters into stories people fondly remember decades later.

Watch The Defilers in Hell

And there is much more to discover.

Rifts®, Palladium Fantasy™, Heroes Unlimited™, Beyond the Supernatural™, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles® & Other Strangeness, Robotech®, and all talked about with the publisher! From creator interviews to behind-the-scenes stories, there are decades of gaming memories and history waiting for you on the Palladium Books YouTube channel.

Here are two projects we are especially excited about.

Yin-Sloth Expeditions™ Coming This Fall

A Palladium Fantasy Adventure Sourcebook

When freelance writer John Klinkel and I expanded Yin-Sloth Jungles, we added so much it had to be split into two books. Yin-Sloth Jungles (available now) is part sourcebook and part jungle monster manual. It sets the stage with lore, player characters and monsters.

Yin-Sloth Expeditions is a deep dive into the jungles, ancient and forgotten civilizations, exotic places, magic, mystery, and adventure after adventure. All of them updated and rewritten by me (Kevin Siembieda) and John, with a ton of new details, challenges, expanded world information, new villains/monsters, and a constant source for mystery and adventure.

Watch for the Yin-Sloth Expeditions crowdfunding campaign this fall, 2026. We’ll launch it when the book is finished and ready to go to the printer, and offer a new Fantasy Game Master Screen, dice set, and more.

  • All updated and revised for 2nd Edition Rules.

  • 10 full adventures plus random encounter tables and ideas for many more.

  • New locations, new villains, new mysteries, and treasure.

  • The expanded City of Dragons, City of Sea Giants, ancient ruins, magic, and mysteries.

  • 30+ maps all redone by artist Phil Stone.

  • New and expanded encounter tables, expanded settings, and new material throughout.

  • 192 pages (tentative) – $26.99 retail – Cat. No. 460.

Join the Rifts® Glitter Boy Codex

The Glitter Boy Codex is a brand new sourcebook for Rifts. It reveals more background and history about the Glitter Boy and its heroic legacy since the Great Cataclysm. The book offers new Glitter Boy weapons and gear, armor features, heroes of legend, adventure ideas, and more.

And we are doing something very special with this release.

The Glitter Boy Codex will be available as a traditional black-and-white softcover sourcebook and as a full-color hardcover edition.

That makes this a historic moment for Palladium Books, because the Glitter Boy Codex will be the first full-color Rifts® sourcebook ever!

Best of all, as a crowdfunder, we are able to offer unique rewards and addons like a special Rifts dice set, customizable Rifts Game Master screen, and more surprises we’ll reveal as we get closer to launch.

Sign up to the Pre-Launch page now to get a preview of the book and to be notified the moment the BackerKit crowdfunder goes live. And please, please, please spread the word to Rifts fans everywhere. We want to make this something special.

Closing Thoughts – When Fantasy Becomes A Reality

Hi Folks,  Daniel Lansdown here, the “NEW GUY” at Palladium Books. There is so much excitement packed into this Weekly Update. Fantasy adventures, Game Night savings, videos to enjoy, the final weeks of the Worlds of Palladium exhibit, convention appearances, and a growing slate of books in development.

But for me, what has been most exciting isn’t any single project.

It is being surrounded by the people creating them, and the fans that make it all possible.

Coming from the world of corporate burnout into Palladium has been an extraordinary change for me. This is a place where imagination is encouraged, ideas are constantly bouncing around the room, and I get to work every day with a crew of brilliant, creative, genuinely kind-hearted people who care deeply about what they make.

And then there is the Palladium community.

The community Kevin has fostered over more than four decades – the gamers, Game Masters, artists, writers, collectors, friends, and longtime fans – is unlike anything I have experienced before. The enthusiasm, stories, loyalty, creativity, and kindness so many of you bring to Palladium continually reminds me why all of this matters.

There is a tremendous amount happening here, and I’m grateful to be part of it.

I’ll turn things over to the man who created this wonderful place and has spent 45 years reminding all of us to “explore the possibilities” and “unleash our imaginations.”

Kevin, take it away.

– Daniel Lansdown, Office Manager, Marketing, and Gamer

Thank you for your very kind words and warm sentiments. I have to admit, I have – with the help of many others like all of you – created something wonderful. Something that transcends me, my games, and my ideas. Palladium Books is a family that has taken on a beautiful life of its own. A house of ideas, collaboration and camaraderie.

Last week, a Michigan, independent filmmaker came to visit for an hour. Three plus hours later he left fired up about the possibilities. He saw the magic and close-knit energy between us all. Several times he commented on what a great work environment we have and that every member of the Palladium team was kind and generous with their time – made him feel immediately welcomed. And that all businesses should aspire to be like Palladium. When Sean’s parents visited the first time and again at the Palladium Open House they said we’ve created something truly special and healing.

It feels magical even to me.

It’s why Sean is the person to help me run and take over the operation of Palladium, because he gets it and he’s part of the magic.

It’s why Jeremy Colantonio said Palladium was the best place he had ever worked and was sorry he had to leave.

It’s why the energetic and hardworking Daniel Lansdown – “new guy” – fits right in and is excited about everything going on behind the scenes and the future of Palladium. A future he’s helping to shape.

It’s why Palladium Books makes a difference in the gaming world and amongst the legion of gamers who have ever played our games.

Part of it is we all care. We care about each other, you, and the quality of our work. Part of it has to do with our genuine passion for gaming and the gaming community. Part of is the reciprocal love and respect we have for our fans. And part of it is … well magic. A blessing from on high we all recognize, appreciate, and hope to continue for decades yet to come. We are so happy you are part of the adventure and wonderment that is Palladium Books. With love and respect,

– Kevin Siembieda, Game Designer, Writer, Friend

Be Excited – Weekly Update – August 20, 2026

CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF RPG FUN

A LEGACY OF INNOVATION – ONE GAME SYSTEM – ENDLESS ADVENTURE

By Kevin Siembieda and Daniel Lansdown

I’m excited, you’re excited, we’re all excited about upcoming releases, the future of Palladium Books, and current events! We’re glad so many of you enjoyed the product updates in the August 14th Weekly Update. All of us here are working hard to get these new books into your hands.

The TMNT Game Night – Weekend Adventure Sale, offering Ninja Turtles products at 40% off, sure garnered a lot of hype, this past weekend. So much so that we may start doing Game Night Sales a couple times a month. Check out this week’s Rifts Game Night – Weekend Adventure Sale toward the end of this Update.

It was certainly an exciting weekend for me …

Legion of Myth Gamer Talk

On last Sunday’s Gamer Talk with Legion of Myth, Sean and I joined the crew for some high-energy fun. We talked about using the ‘Burbs as a setting for character based camps, adventures, and intrigue. We also talked about how the Ninja Turtles Redux RPG and especially the Transdimensional Adventures sourcebook had a zillion uses and applications within Rifts. I think people forget about the simple and fun time travel and dimensional travel rules and adventure tables in the TMNT sourcebook. So easy to apply to Rifts, Chaos Earth, Phase World, After the Bomb, and Heroes Unlimited. And of course the mutant animals creation rules can be used as mutants, D-Bees, and aliens in Rifts.

Our thanks to all the gamers who join these chats and ask interesting questions and make smart and silly comments. Our appreciation to Max and Heathendog for hosting these chats. The next Legion of Myth gamer talk with me (Kevin) and Sean should be September 27th.

New Weekly Videos coming to our YouTube Channel!

J-M and I have more new videos and reels coming your way on the Palladium Books YouTube channel. In fact, we’ll soon be posting a new game conversation once a week, so visit our YouTube channel often. We hope each one is insightful, but we know they’re all fun. All are timeless, so you can listen to them today, months or even years from now. Enjoy.

A Chance Meeting

I went to a special comic book talk last Saturday at the Detroit Historical Museum. I really enjoyed the presentation by Arvell Jones and Mike Kucharski about the early days of comic book fandom. It brought back a lot of fond memories. I also enjoyed the talk by Bill Morrison (Futurama) that followed. After which, I met a gentleman (hey, Brian Townsend) who was a regular at the Detroit Gaming Center for years. He had come to the guest lectures and to see the Worlds of Palladium Exhibit. Meeting me was a surprise bonus (or so he said). We enjoyed a nice chat.

Come on down to see the Palladium Books and comic book exhibits at the Detroit Historical Museum before both exhibits END September 13th. While you’re in town, give us a call and swing by the Palladium office to get a tour, books signed, and enjoy a brief chat with me (Kevin) and whoever else is available.

Rifts® Bestiary Volume Two – Coming This Fall

Rifts® Bestiary Volume Two is racing toward completion, and we think you are going to love what you see.

Sean is back in Asia wrapping up the layout and final editing pass, while the last pieces continue to fall into place. The book looks great, and it is packed with strange, dangerous, beautiful, terrifying, and sometimes downright bizarre creatures ready to challenge players across Rifts Earth and beyond.

One of the things that makes this book especially fun is the involvement of Rifts fans themselves. Several creatures originated with fan submissions and special crowdfunding rewards connected to Rifts Bestiary Volume One and Two, including Ultimate Benefactor rewards and other Palladium crowdfunding efforts.

One standout is the fan-created Five-Headed Chimera – exactly the sort of wild monster that feels right at home in the Megaverse®. We’ll be showing off artwork and other fan-inspired creations as we get closer to release.

The Bestiary is also loaded with artwork from Mike Majestic and Chuck Walton, bringing these creatures to life in all their monstrous glory. There is a LOT packed into this book, and we’ll reveal more creatures, artwork, and surprises in the weeks ahead.

Rifts® Bestiary Volume Two is coming this fall. Stay tuned.

Oh yeah, and with some incredible convention special deals you won’t want to miss, so be sure to swing by our booth. Come on over and join the fun.

Philadelphia Area Gaming Expo (PAGE)

will be here before you know it – January 14-17, 2027

This is another fun and rapidly growing convention.

Closing Thoughts – Role-Playing Games:

Inexpensive Fun That Make Lasting Memories

More and more I hear from people struggling to make ends meet and worried about the economy. I understand completely. These are strange times and the cost of … well, everything always seems to be climbing higher. Which is why Palladlium has started doing these 3 day long Game Night – Weekend Adventure Sales at steep discounts. (Daniel Lansdown’s idea.) It provides you some excitement and RPG fun at budget prices and big savings.

Remember, role-playing games and sourcebooks provide more bang for the buck than any other form of entertainment to begin with. Not only can you reread the books on your shelf and enjoy the artwork over and over again, but they provide inspiration for new characters, stories, and gaming sessions every time you read one.

Looking for something new to get the ideas burning? Buying even one new sourcebook can often provide ideas for a favorite game setting that can last weeks, months, and even years. That’s why I say things like “explore the possibilities” and “unleash your imagination.” RPGs provide endless ideas and fun. Recently, I’ve been talking a lot about Rifts Mercenaries and the ‘Burbs. Check out our September 16, 2026, gamer’s talk with Legion of Myth. We also have interviews with the Glitterbois as well as Palladium’s growing number of videos on the Palladium Books YouTube channel. Each should provide new insight and ideas for RPG books you may already have on your shelf.

Palladium role-playing games are a rich resource for endless ideas that challenge your imagination and provide hours of fun and laughs with your fellow gamers, friends, and family. Play a short game session for an hour or two or game half the day away, but use RPG fun to put aside your worries for a little while and catch your breath. What’s that, your gaming group isn’t available? That’s okay, spend time creating characters or writing down adventure ideas, doodling or writing a short story.

Can’t afford to buy even one new RPG sourcebook? Then pull out one on your shelf and start rereading it. I guarantee you’ll find things you don’t remember. Things that spawn new and different fun ideas. Heck, I’m surprised by what feels fresh, new and exciting in books that I wrote. Creating characters or new monsters or magic spells or spinning up gaming adventures is another avenue of fun and creativity that doesn’t cost a dime. All of it helps you to put away your worries, find some relief, and have fun. Heck, that’s priceless! So dust off some old favorite RPGs or sourcebooks, or snag a book on sale, and spend some time in a fantasy or science fiction world of wonder and heroes. It’s surprising how one new sourcebook often breathes life into an entire setting.

And try not to worry about things you can’t change. Focus on what you have control over and the simple things that bring you joy. I regularly escape into games, books, movies, and walks in the park to momentarily escape from my worries and recharge my brain.

I mentioned I went to the Detroit Historical Museum last weekend to hear a presentation about the early days of comic book fandom. I didn’t know what to expect, but I thought I should get out of the office and do something that might be fun. It was great! It brought up fond memories, I learned some new things, and it made me smile and feel warm and fuzzy. What was a pleasant surprise was seeing a number of old friends, meeting an interesting new person, and running into a Palladium fan who was happy to spend some time with me. It was a beautiful afternoon that recharged my batteries. I’m so glad I did it.

Please take care of yourselves. Find escape and joy in gaming and whatever recharges your batteries. And I bet it doesn’t even have to cost you much if any money. Enjoy the sale, game on, and stay frosty. It’s all good.

News & More – Weekly Update – August 14, 2026

CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF RPG FUN

A LEGACY OF INNOVATION – ONE GAME SYSTEM – ENDLESS ADVENTURE

By Kevin Siembieda and Daniel Lansdown

Hi Everyone,

We’ve talked about several books in development and coming soon, but you haven’t seen any of the behind the scenes artwork and details. Daniel Lansdown and I want to make this Update a small window into some of that. Bear in mind, this is just the tip of the iceberg – because we have so much more happening behind the scenes.

Some of these projects will be crowdfunded to better promote the books and to offer cool RPG accessories/rewards and addons like new dice sets, game screens, and more. Other books, like Rifts Bestiary Vol. 2, will be released as soon as they are finished. Oh, and please spread the word about all these upcoming book releases, crowdfunders, and special events. We need the help of your word of mouth to carry Palladium Books® and our many game worlds to new heights.

That’s our ultimate plan: to make Palladium bigger and better than ever. To that end we’ve been cultivating new talent, printers, manufacturers, sales platforms, and new ways to reach gamers.

Just the other day, a friend was talking about the countless number of gamers Palladium has inspired with our RPGs and sourcebooks, saying, “I think a lot of people really connect with Palladium and its rich and well thought-out, well-explored worlds. – That kind of world building was even more rare than it is now!”

Well, that’s exactly the legacy that Sean, Daniel, Caleb, and all of us at Palladium plan to continue for the next generation. Books filled with art, adventure, wild ideas, memorable characters, and stories that stoke your imaginations.

And there is a lot coming. So much so, we almost forgot we have a Weekend Adventure Sale that launches today for 72 hours only, check it out below!

Stay tuned.

Join the Rifts® Glitter Boy Codex

Crowdfunder Pre-Launch Page

Best of all, as a crowdfunder, we are able to offer a host of unique rewards and addons like a special Rifts dice set, customizable Rifts Game Master screen, and more surprises we’ll reveal as we get closer to launch.

Sign up to the Pre-Launch page now to get a preview of the book and to be notified the moment the BackerKit crowdfunder goes live. And please, please, please spread the word to Rifts fans everywhere. We want to make this something special.

Rifts Chaos Earth®: First Responders

The Great Cataclysm changed the world forever. But before the survivors of Earth could even begin to understand what was happening, there were people running toward the devastation.

Chaos Earth®: First Responders is a full sourcebook that takes another look at those terrifying first days of the Great Cataclysm and the people trying to save lives when everything they knew was falling apart around them.

Firefighters, rescue personnel, emergency crews, survivors, heroes, and ordinary people are suddenly confronted by disasters beyond anything humanity had ever imagined.

This sourcebook expands the world of Rifts® Chaos Earth® with NEW O.C.C.s, rules, equipment, settings, adventure material and more information for players and Game Masters who want to experience the desperate struggle for survival at the dawn of the Rifts.

Take a look at some of the in progress art below by the incredible Steven Cummings.

Yin-Sloth Expeditions™ Coming Soon!

No. 460.

Rifts® Antarctica

This adventure world book is something special. Freelance writer Matthew Clements (Northern Gun 1 & 2, Black Market, Garden of the Gods) got the project launched, and I have taken it to the next level.

Rifts Antarctica will be so much more than what you expect. It is surprisingly teeming with dangerous creatures, old enemies, new enemies, ice magic, ancient secrets, and may be one of the most magic rich environments on the planet. Its most dangerous secret is the ancient stone and ice citadel that dates back millions of years. You can thank Carmen Bellaire and a number of fans who kept harping on me to add a place like Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness. So I did. Or maybe it will be a, “Be careful what you ask for” lesson. Nah, you’ll love it. I love it. Art by Mike Mumah, Steven Cummings, Mike Majestic, and others.

We’re all juggling many things, but when I’m writing, I have been dividing my time between Rifts Antarctica (wrote some yesterday) and Yin-Sloth Expeditions (wrote a bit the day before). Both books near completion and the art is completely done for both.

The Rifter #86

Yep, The Rifter is not forgotten, so keep your eyes peeled. We have a couple of Rifters and other projects brewing.

Legion of Myth – Gamer Talk – August 16, 2026

Kevin Siembieda and Sean Owen Roberson (tentative) will be back to cause more trouble on Legion of Myth August 16th, around noon Eastern time. Join the fun. And while you’re waiting, watch some earlier chats, they’re all good. Just look at the hard questions asked in our previous Gamer Talk.

Closing Thoughts – We can’t do anything without you

You are more than customers. More than fans. You are our muses, our inspiration, and the people we do all of this for. When we write and draw, we think about what you want in a game or world or character or artwork. We ask ourselves what will make you squeal with delight or shout in excitement or make you chuckle. We try to envision and provide you with new heroes, villains, powers, gear, and entire worlds of adventure. Heck, entire universes to explore.

Without you, we’d be shouting into the air. You give us purpose and enable us to spread our creative wings and soar. Without your patronage and spreading the word about our games, we wouldn’t even exist. Thank you for all of that. Please continue your support.

You are family. You have proven time and again, through your kind words and deeds, that we are part of your family, just as you are part of Palladium’s extended family. That is a rare and precious bond we never take for granted. A bond that is sacred and beautiful to us. We respect and appreciate you and your intelligence. It’s why we never talk down to you, lie to you, or treat you like you don’t matter. You matter to us on so many levels. It’s also why Sean, and I, and all of us make ourselves available to you at conventions to chat and sign your books. We want to meet you as much as you want to meet us. Such events and the Christmas Surprise Package is our way of giving back to you and getting to know you. To learn what you like, dislike, and want from us. It may take a little while, but we hear you and we will respond.

Sean Owen Roberson is my chosen business partner because he understands Palladium’s legacy of worldbuilding, rich lore, strong character, fun and shared values. Just as important, he respects you, our fans and customers. Everyone who joins the Palladium Team loves how close we are to our fans. That we are attuned to what you need and want. Sean and I are always saying things like, “the fans will love this,” and “they’ll have so much fun with that.” It’s not about the almighty dollar for us. What we do is fulfilling and fun, in large part because of our fan base. Sure we need to make money to keep making the games you and we love, but your enjoyment of the games is a vital component. That’s why we won’t crap out products. Every book we write and product we make is done with love and commitment to you.

We are gearing up for a new era of epic game-making. Daniel Lansdown is an excellent addition to the team. It has been fun to see the “new guy” get excited about everything we have in the works and the stuff Sean and I have planned for the future. Daniel’s enthusiastic responses inform us we’re on the right track. You’ll agree after you back the next crowdfunders and see the end results dropped into your hands. The Ninja Turtles products are just a hint of what Palladium has planned for you with the layout and look of future books. You have no idea how many cool things we are juggling for the future. We can’t wait to see the looks on your faces as our plans come together and when new books start hitting the shelves.

We hope this Update helped give you a glimpse of some of those plans.

Always keep your imagination burning bright and game on!

Palladium Collectibles – at Kevin’s Online Toy & Collectibles eBay Store

Palladium collectibles, books, artwork, and negatives, as well as action figures, toys, and other items from Kevin Siembieda’s personal collection are available from this Ebay store! New items added regularly.

One-of-a-kind Palladium Books negatives are always very popular items at the Palladium Open House, Gen Con, and conventions, and are catching on as rare collectibles, unique in and of themselves. Last year at Granite State Comic Con, Kevin Eastman had TMNT negatives from the first comic book on display. Before digital printing, pages of a book were laid out by hand on a board, and each page was photographed. These are the photographic negatives being sold as individual works of art and collectibles. When matted or framed on a white background they look like dynamic wood cut prints.

Closing Thoughts – Gen Con Report

Record attendance, big sales, fun panel talks, great fans, lots of autograph signing! Gen Con and most conventions are a blend of fun, work, laughs, and exhaustion.

This Gen Con was even crazier than most.

Thursday the exhibitor’s hall was packed with gamers. Sean and I stopped to sign one person’s Ninja Turtles RPG that morning and it turned into a cavalcade of fans that was non-stop autographs for four hours straight! It was amazing and so much fun. Of course, we continued to sign books the rest of the day and every day, but those first four hours were constant. It was wonderful to meet and chat with so many gamers from across the US from Alaska to Maine, and from around the world – the UK and France to New Zealand and Asia! For those of you who couldn’t make it to Gen Con, Sean and Palladium’s social media guy, Daniel Lansdown, posted photos all weekend to much excitement.

This year we were able to spend some time with Shane Hensley, founder of Pinnacle Entertainment Group (PEG) and the mastermind behind the Savage Worlds game system and RPGs like Deadlands. Shane hadn’t been to Gen Con in something like 10 years, so it was a treat to be able to hang out with him. We also got see old pals like Frank Uchmanowicz (Worlds Largest Dungeon, Audio RPG), Clint Black (Savage Worlds), Mike Stackpole (Star War & Battletech), Phil Reed (SJG), Steve Jackson (Munchkin), Mike and Lisa Pondsmith (Cyberpunk), Tim Brown (Dark Sun), Jim Zub (Conan), Jolly & Barb Blackburn (KODT), Jordan Wiseman (Battletech), Matthew Clements (Palladium), Glen Evans (Palladium), Mark Oberle (Palladium), Mike Leonard (Palladium), J-M DeFoggi (Jackals), Matthew Lempki (Through Gamers Goggles), the Brown Family, the Atens Family, Molly, John, Simon, Orson, Sarah, Peter, and Doug (all amazing human beings), and far too many others to list by name.

The best part of conventions – besides evangelizing role-playing games and making sales – is meeting and chatting with friends, fans, and industry pals. Talking to our fans about gaming, future plans, artwork, etc., and getting fan feedback and suggestions always inspire and reenergize us all. It’s heartwarming and joyful to see people’s faces light up when they meet me, Sean, or any of the people listed above. We signed more autographs and took more photos with people than ever before and loved every minute of it. That Dragon Head sketch I do sure is a crowd pleaser.

Both panel talks were well attended and fun. Sean and I had several people tell me they really enjoyed them. Fans went absolutely bonkers over the Glitter Boy Codex and can’t wait for the crowdfunder to start. They loved the cover and Sean’s description of what the book will contain. They also went wild over the fact that the G.B. Codex will be available as the traditional black and white softcover, AND as a full color hardcover (there will be a foil edition and some surprise exclusives and add-ons too!). The Glitter Boy Codex will be the very first FULL color Rifts book. Cool, right? They were also pleased to learn Yin-Sloth Expeditions would get a crowdfunder in October – and that Rifts Bestiary Vol. Two would see release this fall. Rifts Chaos Earth First Responders and Rifts Antarctica, among other projects, are all moving forward too.

The big sellers were all things Rifts and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, followed by Palladium Fantasy, After the Bomb, Dead Reign, and Heroes Unlimited. Folks were happy with the new Island at the Edge of the World fantasy sourcebook, and we nearly sold out of Rifts Ultimate Edition (and we brought a lot of them) amongst others.

Palladium’s 30 game events were also crowd pleasers. To the Game Masters who ran Palladium gaming events, thank you! Your time, experience, and enthusiasm helped bring over 125 new players to the Megaverse. We had games running from Rifts, Palladium Fantasy, Heroes Unlimited, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness throughout the weekend.

Sean and I had a number of exciting meetings with game manufacturers, printers, artists, and heads of crowdfunding platforms that all went very well. That’s excellent because you’ll be seeing more crowdfunders and a lot more books and RPG accessories coming from Palladium Books in the future. We also met a half-dozen artists we hope to do artwork for us in the future.

We worked our behinds off, but had a wonderful and prosperous Gen Con. We loved the positive energy from our fans, friends, and the overall event. As usual it has left us emotionally and creatively energized. We spent the drive home discussing all kinds of ideas for new products.

Until then, enjoy the Mutants & Heroes Sale, snag yourself some TMNT, superhero, After the Bomb, and martial arts RPG books and game on.
