| CELEBRATING 35 YEARS OF RIFTS® – ONE GAME SYSTEM – EVERY GENRE – COUNTLESS WORLDS – ENDLESS ADVENTURE |
| | Rifts® SALE & News – Palladium Books® – Weekly Update – July 10, 2025 |
| Did you enjoy a nice 4th of July Weekend? We hope so. The Palladium staff got in some much deserved R&R. My weekend was a combination of work (a little Gen Con prep and a lot of writing on Yin-Sloth Expeditions) and fun (saw a couple movies). My thanks to those of you who ordered books over the long holiday weekend. We appreciate your support.
Our big Rifts sale is in its final two weeks so if you’ve been meaning to snag some of the 80+ titles on sale, time is running out, and so are some of the books. Rifts Black Market has now joined the titles temporarily out of stock. We hope it will be back with a new cover in time for Gen Con. (All Rifts titles will be on sale at Gen Con!) |
| | | | ● Palladium’s new website! Have you seen it? Isn’t it nice? Hmm well, maybe not if you found it Tuesday or Wednesday when it was running sloooooow and we were still finding and working out the bugs. The speed issues and glitches should be mostly fixed at this point, but if you find any issues, please let us know about them as soon as possible. People seem most excited about being able to order PDFs directly from Palladium, but there are a lot of nice, new features you should enjoy once everything is running smoothly. |
| | | ● Check your mailbox for a Palladium flyer. We sent out a promotional flyer that should be arriving any time now. It talks about the Rifts® 35th Anniversary Celebration and current sale, Gen Con (all Rifts titles will be on sale at Booth 1515 while supplies last), upcoming releases, and other things of interest. And it provides your first look at the new covers for Rifts Psi-Ops: Psychic War (formerly Coalition Manhunters) and Rifts Black Market. Sean and I have some fun and exciting things in store for you in the months ahead. |
| | ● Last 2 weeks of Rifts® 35 year Anniversary Sale – 20% off sale on 80+ Rifts books – ends July 23 – so place your order before you forget. And also because Rifts books are temporarily selling out. We’ll reprint them, of course, but that takes 5-10 weeks, so if there are certain Rifts titles you know you want badly, we recommend you order soon in case they sell out. See complete sale details, below. |
| | | ● Temporarily sold out! Rifts Black Market, Rifts Coalition Manhunters, Rifts Bionics Sourcebook, and Rifts® Primer & Adventures are temporarily sold out and we are running low on Rifts Underseas and a few others. Available on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last. |

| ● NEW this Sunday! Online Event – Live Stream on Legion of Myth – Sunday, July 13 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time – chat with Kevin Siembieda and Jeremy Colantonio. Kevin and Jeremy will be back with more RPG talk and Game Master tips. The focus will be on one of my favorite subjects: how to create and use Non-Player Characters (NPCs) effectively. Can’t wait, please join us. |
| | ● NEW! Watch the Official History of Palladium Books while you lounge on your patio sipping a cool drink. A new episode goes live every other week. Gamers are loving them whether they are Palladium fans or just enjoy RPG history. You can find them on the Palladium Books YouTube channel. And there are a whole bunch of them now! Check out the fun chats with Legion of Myth and great podcasts with the Glitterbois. Hey Podcasters and YouTubers, we are happy to consider appearances on your shows too. Please reach out via the Help Desk. Thanks. |
| | ● COMING! Yin-Sloth Expeditions. Finally, my creative energies are flowing again and I’m making my final run on the Yin-Sloth Expeditions book. I’m currently expanding the material for the Dragon Gate Mountains and Dragonedra City of Dragons. And I’ll be adding new material and adventure hooks for other sections too. Including a villain that has plagued the Yin-Sloth Jungles across the ages. Yeah, I’m feeling pretty inspired at the moment. |
| |
| ● COMING! Rifts® Phase World® Sourcebooks from Star Anvil, a new licensing partner. Their first Kickstarter probably launches in September (I misspoke when I said mid-July), but you can join their pre-launch campaign now. And you want to, because it’s gonna be great, with new settings, villains, spaceships, weapons, gear and more, easy to adapt to Palladium’s game system and any existing adventure campaign. As for you Savage Worlds players, you’ll be able to dive right in and run with it, because these books use the Savage Worlds game system. Personally, as someone who has seen the product outlines and art, I can’t wait to see these all new Phase World and the Three Galaxies™ sourcebooks. You’ll definitely want to follow and check it out. |

| UPDATE! Closing the Rifts Promise of Power Reforged Campaign |
| Howdy Palladium fans, I wanted to personally inform you that we have decided to close the current Rifts: Promise of Power Reforged Backerkit campaign. As you can see, the initial interest is very high — something we’d be ecstatic for if it were any other project. But video games aren’t cheap and we have a lofty funding goal that we aren’t likely to hit at the current rate. Many fans have spoken online or reached out to us and we have listened carefully and learned a lot about what people want to see in a Rifts video game offering. Kevin and I remain excited about the project, but always knew this initial crowdfunding campaign might be more about testing the waters than anything else. That’s the beauty of crowdfunding, it lets us creators get feedback on potential projects directly from you, our loyal fans. So you can expect us to collate your input and other information and come back with a new plan for the Rifts Promise of Power video game in the future. We’re already exploring new ideas and approaches.
Thank you so much for your continued support in everything we do!
– Sean Owen Roberson and the Palladium Books team |

| | | SALE! Palladium Collectibles – at Kevin’s Online Toy & Collectibles eBay Store |
| Palladium collectibles as well as action figures and other items from Kevin Siembieda’s personal collection are on sale!
One-of-a-kind Palladium Books negatives are always very popular items at the Palladium Open House, Gen Con, and conventions, and are catching on as rare collectibles, unique in and of themselves. Last year at Granite State Comic Con Kevin Eastman had TMNT negatives from the first comic book on display.
Before digital printing, pages of a book were laid out by hand on a board, and each page was photographed. These are the photographic negatives being sold as individual works of art and collectibles. When matted or framed on a white background they look like dynamic wood cut prints. And they are on sale right now! |
| | | | Glad to be writing again
I did my most inspired writing in a year and a half over the Independence Day weekend. It felt glorious. Finally, ideas were flowing and so were the words.
For months after Kathy Simmons’ death, I just couldn’t write. Actually, I did write, but it wasn’t up to my usual standards. Then for a while I could write things like the Weekly Update well, but more creative works continued to be difficult. So when I struggled with writing these past several months, I focused on doing video interviews and strategic planning with Sean, or dealt with artists and business matters.
When you’re a writer or an artist, the need to be creative is in your DNA. It’s not just what you do, it’s a primary function like breathing. You’re a storyteller. And in my case, I tell stories in words and pictures whether the art is by me or others. I build worlds and characters for gamers to take and spin into their own landscapes of adventure. And I love it. So it was frustrating to struggle for so many months.
Ah, but now it feels wonderful to have it all starting to flow again. And not just for Yin-Sloth Expeditions, but ideas for multiple books including the long-awaited BTS sourcebooks. I’ve been making notes for those other books and enjoying the flow of ideas and words again with Expeditions.
Well, that’s it for this Update. Enjoy the big Rifts sale and the collectibles and toys sale on my Ebay store. Get your creative energies flowing and try to get some gaming in, or do something else fun and creative this weekend. I hope to get more writing done.
