how nasty would it be if a permanent portal opened between earth and dimension. Is it a global, or galactic level threat?

As a juicer your a mexican jumping bean, so take advantage of it by chosing the heaviest light armor you can get your hands on. still a fan of the NG particle beam rifle for long arm. North America: Assuming I can't replace Hagan Lonovich (above all other choices): Lazlo. Peaceful city with plenty of opportunities for learning and advancment. Arzno is a descent choice as well. I like the mix of magic and tech, just not sure of the heat. Other good choices are Dweomer, Kingsdale, ...

but missiles can be shot out of the air, and in a standard squad, everybody gets a shot.
Combined with an average 70 damage, great range and the fact that when one missile goes boom, the others often follow means there is a good chance the missiles don't do anything.

Welcome to the site beckman yeah, changing merchant marines to marines proper, which makes a tons more sense. I might increase the sailors percentage to show how they are often put in the merchant marine role as well. engineers might be folded into support cause it is basically a catch all category ...

yup and grenades are usually a lot cheaper then the e-clips as well. hell A mortar costs 2000 Credits in rifts, and it's ammo is roughly the same cost as a CS grenades. norse giants are in conversions book 2 and quite frankly, one of the more powerful allowable pc races if you roll right. (7200 mdc at 1st level...yesh).

ironically, the nature of hades makes it so it's pretty darm easy to do some seriously nasty damage to it with a few key tricks dimensional portal to hades + firefly nukes: while it may not kill the names, a drop on key town of several thousands would seriously and permanently drop production. hell ...

I was doing some thinking on this and realized when you get to a certain size, a large quadraped design (especially if the legs can retract quickly) makes a slightly better design for mobile artillery then wheeled or tracked through difficult terrain. I always think of the "spider" designs...

Archie 3 has been noted in several places of watching naruni enterprises as a possible alien menace.

I'd make it retractable, basically at a press of a button or winch. If you put a light, yet solid metal bar under the crossbow, I think it could help both with aiming (if balenced properly) and give a place where you can parry if need be. with the excellent craft skills of dwarves/kobolds available,...
