Did you see Palladium’s recent press release? The secret revealed is the lost Rifts® video game – Rifts® Promise of Power. With your support we hope to bring it back for the personal computer and other game platforms with improved art and graphics and fun.
I had been teasing you with the coming of a big announcement for a couple of weeks and we found the speculation about what it could be fun and interesting. As far as I know, NOBODY guessed it was the RPOP video game. One guess I found amusing was that I was going to announce my retirement. No way! Not when I’m having this much fun. The initial response to the news of the Rifts® Promise of Power video game being remade for the PC and modern game platforms has been overwhelmingly positive. Be excited! We sure are. Sean and I will be revealing more details and answering your questions before and during the crowdfunding campaign. Watch for live streaming when we launch in June, and other fun stuff.
We could not do this without the vision of Sean Owen Roberson or the brilliant minds and talented artists at TransPerfect International LLC. Heck, everyone we know is standing behind this exciting new venture for Palladium: Wayne, Alex, Caleb, newcomer Jeremy Colantonio (who has been helping us on many fronts behind the scenes for months – but more about him in a few weeks), J-M DeFoggi, Ryan McDaniels, Nick Kay, Chris Chamberlain, Charles Porter, Johnson, Martyn and Alex at Backerkit, as well as Shane Neville and some of the other creators of the original video game! And I’m sure I’m forgetting people. (Sorry.) Working to release Rifts Promise of Power REFORGED has been an awesome experience. And a little scary, because we don’t know if we can garner enough support to make it a reality. We are hopeful and very optimistic, but won’t know until the Backerkit campaign is a success.
That means the fate of Rifts® Promise of Power REFORGED is ultimately in your hands. Please follow us on the Backerkit Pre-Launch page, spread the word far and wide, and please back the crowdfunder when it goes live in June. We appreciate everyone who is coming along for the ride with us. It’s time to travel the Rifts in a new way, in a new medium, with new friends.

Palladium Collectibles – at Kevin’s Online Toy & Collectibles eBay Store

I am adding new collectibles of all kinds to my Ebay store every few weeks. Some are Palladium negatives, rare and out of print books, original Palladium artwork, prints, posters, as well as other collectible toys, action figures, Nightmare Before Christmas items, one-of-a-kind proofreader copies, books, and other good stuff – including Erick Wujcik’s rare and sought after Amberzine #12-15. Check in every week or so to see what’s new. All items come from Kevin Siembieda’s personal collection.
One-of-a-kind Palladium Books negatives (special and rare collectibles). Negatives are always very popular items at the Palladium Open House, Gen Con, and conventions, and are catching on as rare collectibles, unique in and of themselves. Before digital printing, pages of a book were laid out by hand on a board, and each page was photographed.

Each negative is truly unique, attractive, and fun to have.

Prices vary depending on the title, the art, and quality of the negative. Note: Many have scratches, or blemishes, and/or an opaque medium on the negative. Still, they look great and are a piece of RPG history. We recommend you carefully examine the photographs of each item to avoid disappointment. Life’s adventures
Life is what you make of it. So make it good.
I love my life. Is that corny or sappy? I don’t think so, because it’s true. Yes, I have had my share of hardships and sorrow. I lost my beautiful Kathy last year and my dear friend Julius a year or so before. Yes, Palladium has its struggles. Yes, we are understaffed, overworked, and now have to deal with tariffs, EU regulations, we’re behind where we’d like to be on book releases, and the economy and world at large is uncertain and at times frightening. And yet, I choose to be happy and I feel blessed.
I have lived an amazing life and know a multitude of amazing people, including many of you. I have wonderful friends and continue to make new ones. I’m excited about Rifts Promise of Power Reforged (go Sean!), I cannot wait to put TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG Redux in your hands, and there are a whole lot of books and projects in the pipeline designed to put smiles on your faces and stoke the fires of imagination. I love my life, I’m surprised by all the things I’ve accomplished, and I look forward to what the future holds for me and all of us.
Life is a war of attrition. I try not to let it wear me down and I wear my battle scars with pride and dignity as I press forward and try to live life to the fullest. I do so, as do most of us, with a wounded heart. I’m missing little pieces of me – my Kathy, Julius, Erick, Mom, Dad, and many other people I have loved and lost. All remembered with the love and gratitude they each deserve. Memories that warm my battered heart and motivate me to press onward and conquer new adventures.
I honor their memories by trying to live my best life and welcoming the years ahead with an open and joyful heart. Life is a wondrous gift. A gift I try to appreciate every day. It’s okay if I stumble and fall along the way, provided I get back on my feet and keep moving forward. Keep learning. Keep loving. Keep creating.
There will always be struggles and challenges and heartbreaking loss ahead, because life is not easy. But it is so worth living. The bad and the challenging is what makes the good stuff – from the splendor of a sunrise to the laughter of friends at the gaming table – so beautiful and worthwhile.
My wish for you is that you embrace life to the fullest no matter the difficulties and obstacles you may face, or the pain you may silently carry hidden inside of you, and find your joy and a sense of peace and purpose. Never forget that you are unique and bring something special into the world.
It’s Memorial Day weekend. A time when we remember and celebrate those we have lost in service to our nation. Men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for us back home. We honor that sacrifice with our thanks and prayers. Personally, I include in my prayers all first responders and people who strive to make our world a safer, better place – doctors, nurses, paramedics, firefighters, teachers, and on and on. And to those of you who still serve to make the world better. Thank you for your service. You are appreciated and respected by this humble publisher, as are the fallen who have come before you.
Memorial Day weekend has also become a time for sales, get togethers, barbecues, going to the park, and family time. These are the good things that recharge us and make us appreciate life.
