It will be presented as a four-book slipcase set that includes the core rules, character creation, starships, weapons, worlds, and more – build entire sectors of space for your campaigns.

Free bonus item if you join the launch party now! The crowdfunding campaign will also feature tabletop extras such as dice sets, patches, and other Traveller-themed accessories. In fact if you follow the project now, you will receive a free Traveller 5E patch when you pledge. Reserve for just $2 and you’ll receive a cool-looking Traveller coin free when you pledge. Palladium Collectibles – at Kevin’s Online Toy & Collectibles eBay Store

Palladium collectibles, books, artwork, and negatives, as well as action figures, toys, and other items from Kevin Siembieda’s personal collection are available from this Ebay store!

One-of-a-kind Palladium Books negatives are always very popular items at the Palladium Open House, Gen Con, and conventions, and are catching on as rare collectibles, unique in and of themselves. Last year at Granite State Comic Con, Kevin Eastman had TMNT negatives from the first comic book on display.

Before digital printing, pages of a book were laid out by hand on a board, and each page was photographed. These are the photographic negatives being sold as individual works of art and collectibles. When matted or framed on a white background they look like dynamic wood cut prints. And they are on sale right now!

CLOSING THOUGHTS

Busy Beyond Belief

We are busy following up leads and contacts from GAMA, working on new books, reprinting fan favorite books, hammering out contracts, wheeling and dealing, and working to resolve a handful of lingering TMNT Kickstarter shipping issues, among other things. If you are waiting to hear back from us, you will as soon as we can.

Palladium’s onsite team is small and we’re juggling a lot. To make matters worse, I got sick immediately after GAMA and was knocked out for a week. I’m feeling much better and working away, but still not a hundred percent and moving slow.

Rest assured there are many cool things happening behind the scenes that should make the rest of the year exciting with big announcements, new book releases, and 45th Anniversary specials and sales.

Enjoy the Dead Reign Sale and we hope to see 60 or so of you at the Weekend Conversation with Kevin Siembieda – April 24 & 25 – here at the Palladium warehouse. It should be a lot of fun. Intimate gatherings like this are rare so take advantage of it. Plus, a bunch of other Palladium creators and long-time friends are coming. Also see the Worlds of Palladium exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum this spring and summer if you can. It’s open till September 13th.

I hope we get to see spring actually arrive soon. Until then, buy Palladium and game on!

CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF RPG PUBLISHING – ONE GAME SYSTEM – EVERY GENRE – COUNTLESS WORLDS – ENDLESS ADVENTURE

BY KEVIN SIEMBIEDA

News – Palladium Books® – Weekly Update – March 13, 2026

Kevin at GAMA Expo

News Briefs

We’re back from the GAMA Expo and it was great for Palladium. We spoke with dozens upon dozens of retailers, sold books, took orders for more books, spoke to eight new distributors interested in carrying the Palladium Books game line, chatted with industry associates, and hung out with friends. It was both a successful business trip and a good time. See more about GAMA under Closing Thoughts.

What’s hot from Palladium? At the GAMA Expo the new TMNT & Other Strangeness products drew a lot of attention, the ever popular Rifts® (especially core books and Rifts Psi-Ops: Psychic War), Heroes Unlimited (sold the few copies of the RPG we brought with us in the first two hours), Palladium Fantasy, After the Bomb® sourcebooks, and the Dead Reign® RPG and sourcebooks. Gotta love them zombies! Back at the Palladium warehouse we saw similar sales patterns. The only one that’s a surprise is the hot interest in Dead Reign. DR is a great setting and lots of fun, but the spike now seems to be out of nowhere – we’re happy to see it.

Final Days – please help us save lives. We all talk about how slavery and child abuse are horrible. Here is your chance to do something about it. I know life is uncertain and money is tight for many of you, which is why we are asking for only a $10 donation to BRIC. Of course, more is appreciated if you can afford it, but every $10 helps more than you may realize.

Please, please, please, join me, Sean, and others in the rescue of children, teens, and young adults from slavery and then to protect and educate them for a new life. Be proud to be gamers who make a real difference in the world. Thank you so much. This noble crowdfunding campaign ENDS on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

March 15th ONLINE EVENT – Sean and I are on a Legion of Myth livestream – starting at noon. We invite you to ask questions about Palladium’s history, your favorite games, TMNT, Erick Wujcik, Rifts, BTS, Blizzard Entertainment flying me in to talk about worldbuilding, or ask questions about game design, writing, comic books, and whatever else you might wanna know, but let’s have some fun this Sunday.

More Online Fun is Coming with Sean and the Glitterbois podcast! Sean did two interviews and a TMNT & Other Strangeness game session with the Glitterbois; each rolling up a character and playing through an adventure. It’s all coming in the weeks ahead.

PalladiumBooks YouTube Channel – Meanwhile, J-M DeFoggi and I have remained busy doing new interviews and shorts. To check out any of these timeless interviews you do not need to listen to them in any particular order, just pick your favorite topic and enjoy.

  • Nightbane RPG – Available as of March 5th.

  • RPG Tips on Handling a Character Death – Coming March 19th.

  • With much more to come

APRIL EVENT! Will we see you at a Weekend Conversation with Kevin Siembieda (and Friends)? – Join the fun – April 24 & 25, 2026 – Westland, Michigan – admissions available now. Limited to 60 or so visitors and we already have a dozen friends and fans who told us they’ll be there. And we’ll go see the Worlds of Palladium exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum too. See complete details for this unique and limited event by clicking on the link below.

BONUS ADVENTURE for TMNT & Other Strangeness Kickstarter Backers is now available to download. The epic bonus adventure is now available to Backers only. Also note: Palladium has just been notified about a shipping SNAFU by our third-party shipper affecting around 100 of our Backers. We are working on resolving it now. Hang tight, but let us know if you have NOT received your rewards by contacting helpdesk@palladiumbooks.com.

COMING SOON! Star Anvil’s Rifts® Phase World® for Savage Worlds Kickstarter – Watch for it and sign up to their pre-launch page now so you don’t miss it. Books COMING SOON! We are continuing to work on books behind the scenes. In addition to sending titles in for reprint every few weeks, we are wrapping up Island at the Edge of the World (Second Edition Fantasy), Rifts Bestiary 2, and more.

GEN CON Game Masters needed! We still need more GMs to run events as Gen Con. Earn free admissions and discounts. But we need your commitment, game description and info by March 17th. See more details elsewhere in this email or reach out to Jeremy Colantonio via email at: Jeremy@palladiumbooks.com

Visit the Detroit Historical Museum and see the Worlds of Palladium exhibit – now thru September 13, 2026. The exhibit is freakin’ awesome and how many times does a role-playing game company get recognized like this? Not often. The exhibit itself is historic, so come and see it and all the impressive exhibits at the museum, like Heroes & Villains: Detroit’s Comic Book Story, Streets of Old Detroit (a fave), 100 Years of Red Wings Hockey, and America’s Motor City, among others. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, Open Wednesday thru Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM, Sunday 1-5 PM.

Palladium needs YOU to run Gen Con Game Events

Palladium is looking for experienced Game Masters to run Palladium RPG events at Gen Con. That can be any of our game worlds using our rules as well as Rifts® for Savage Worlds. If you are thinking about running games at Gen Con or want to help out, please coordinate with Palladium Books in order to get a dedicated game room and other perks like a free Game Master badge, and discounts on your purchases at the Palladium Books booth.

To earn a free GM badge, all you need to do is run 4 games with 6 or more players in each game, 4 hours each. This will earn you enough credits with Gen Con to earn a GM badge – $164 value! Plus, Game Masters get a 50% off coupon on any one item (some exclusions apply) at the Palladium booth for each game they run.

We hope to add to our usual crew of Gen Con Game Masters to run Palladium game events for any Palladium setting:

  • Rifts®

  • Rifts® for Savage Worlds

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness

  • After the Bomb®

  • Chaos Earth®

  • Palladium Fantasy RPG

  • Heroes Unlimited

  • Ninjas & Superspies

  • Nightbane®

  • Dead Reign®

  • Beyond the Supernatural and any of our other settings.

We need your commitment, game description and info by March 17. Send to Jeremy Colantonio via email at jeremy@palladiumbooks.com — Submissions after this date are not guaranteed to be in the Gen Con Program Book and attendance may suffer.

(Note: See Gen Con’s website for details about the info needed for each game listing; G.M.’s name, number of players, length of time, name of game, difficulty level, etc.). Submitting your games to us enables Palladium to coordinate and submit them as a batch to Gen Con and guarantees your event gets listed in the onsite Gen Con Program Book. Being listed onsite is very important to have full attendance for your event. This date gives us enough time to compile and send Gen Con everything they need. Thank you!

Prospective Game Masters, please contact Jeremy Colantonio via email at: Jeremy@palladiumbooks.com

Palladium Books at GAMA Expo

CLOSING THOUGHTS

Making moves at GAMA Expo

I have a history with GAMA and I’m not generally a fan, but I have to give them their props, the 2026 GAMA Expo was nothing short of outstanding for Palladium on many levels. Unlike the previous GAMA Expo, the Exhibitor room layout with its wide isles, and retailer events not conflicting with Exhibitor hours was perfect. I can’t speak for other exhibitors, but we had a lot of traffic and a lot of interest in ALL of our products.

Retailers and exhibitors alike were excited to see the TMNT & Other Strangeness products available for retail. Some preferred the full color books, some the Black, White, and Red Editions, and some wanted everything including the Game Master Screen and dice. A few actually squealed with joy – “There’s a TMNT RPG!?” (You know who you are.) For at least a third of the retailers we spoke with, this was the first time they had heard about the TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG, Transdimensional Adventures sourcebook, GM Screen and Mutagen Green Dice set. Half never knew that the original, bestselling, TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG and sourcebooks existed in the 1980s and 90s – which is why it’s important you help us spread the word. These books are brand new for many people!

Whether they knew about the old RPG or not, everyone loved the updated, expanded, full color, collection of the original books put into these two deluxe, Redux edition hardcovers. (Many old timers were shocked and pleased with how new and different the Redux Editions look and feel.) They also loved the section of tribute art and other bonus material. A number of retailers commented about how these game books should appeal to TMNT comic book collectors and all Ninja Turtle fans. Absolutely true, because we designed them that way.

I also received a lot of congratulations about the Detroit Historical Museum exhibit. A surprising number of people said they’d try to make it to the Weekend Conversation with Kevin Siembieda – April 24 & 25. Others said they planned to come up to Detroit to see the RPG and Comic Book exhibits in the summer, and would try to swing by the Palladium office while in town. Mike Pondsmith, founder of R.Talsorian Games, was particularly kind, saying that the museum exhibit was well deserved and he was happy that I was getting recognized by my home town. Mike’s a sweet guy.

We also got to say hello and hang a bit with other industry pals from Chaosium, Pinnacle Entertainment, Steve Jackson Games (though I missed seeing Steve), Studio 2, Wet Ink Games, Universal Distribution, Tycoon Games, Kickstarter, Backerkit, GamesQuest, Granite State Comic Con, Regent, Long Pack, and others.

A show like the GAMA Expo is not just about meeting retailers and selling books, it’s about networking, gathering information, connecting with industry associates, and making new connections with retailers and other industry insiders; people who can help us grow our business, distribute our products, or rethink how we do things. I’m happy to say that we made a number of exciting new contacts and reestablished old ones. The 2026 GAMA Expo was very successful for us on many levels.

Of course, meeting retailers and fans, exchanging stories, and signing their books is a highlight for me and Wayne. So is having the chance to spend some quality time with dear friends like Shawn and Lisa Hall, Ryan McDaniel, and Frank Uchmanowicz; each a wonderful person who lent us a helping hand. An unexpected pleasure was getting to see and chat with Phil Reed who had been dealing with health issues the past few years and is looking great. Stay well my friend.

Another treat was meeting the delightful and effervescent Amy from Tycoon Games. She’s a mega-fan of the Ninja Turtles and went bonkers over our products. We had a few fun conversations during the Expo. Welcome to the gaming industry, Amy. Please keep your joyful passion and sense of wonder; much success to you.

That’s it for now. I’m trying to determine what our next sale will be as well as other ways to celebrate Palladium’s 45th Anniversary. The Weekend Conversation with Kevin Siembieda – April 24 & 25 – here at the Palladium warehouse is one. The museum exhibit is a happy coincidence (or fate). Sean has a great idea for another, and we’re kicking around other ideas that include different sales, books, and events. If you have suggestions, please share them with us via email, the Help Desk, etc.

Together let us build a stronger Palladium for the next 45 years of RPG fun and adventure across the Megaverse.

Please help if you can – you’ll be saving lives (for real)

We all talk about how slavery and child abuse is horrible. Here is your chance to do something about it. I know life is uncertain and money is tight for many of you, which is why we are asking for only a $10 donation to BRIC. Of course, more is appreciated if you can afford it, but even $10 – especially if we can get 100+ Palladium fans to help – can make a huge difference and truly save lives. Be the light. Be proud to make a real difference.

BRIC continues to rescue, rehabilitate, educate, and protect displaced, starving, and homeless children and teens who are taken from their families and forced to become child-soldiers and slaves of rebel warlords. But it needs our support to continue its lifesaving work. Please join me (Kevin Siembieda) and Sean Owen Roberson by helping in any way you can. Your donations, small or large, will save lives. $10 is all we ask. Let us show the world how caring and powerful the Palladium RPG gaming community can be. The link to the crowdfunder webpage is listed below. This current BRIC fundraising campaign ends March 16, 2026. Every penny collected goes to BRIC. Thank you for your consideration and support. Please spread the word. Your help is appreciated. – Kevin Siembieda & Sean Owen Roberson

We need your commitment, game description and info by March 8.

Closing Thoughts – Role-play your troubles away

This week Wayne and I are extolling the virtues of Palladium’s many games lines at the GAMA Expo.  It’s easy to pitch our books because they are products we, ourselves, love and enjoy. It’s difficult to reach fans and even more difficult to attract new gamers. Hence, tradeshows like GAMA and conventions like Gen Con. So please help spread the word about Palladium’s many games and settings you enjoy, and the fact that when you learn one Palladium game, you can play them all. Thanks, we appreciate it, and you.

The real world can feel quite daunting at times, even overwhelming. Hang tough, and find refuge in the many RPG worlds of Palladium Books. Role-playing games are ideal for temporary escape from your real world troubles and worries. They are so immersive you can truly lose yourself in them and enjoy the fun and camaraderie of your fellow gamers. So get in some laughs with your gamer friends/family and role-play your troubles away for a few hours. It will help keep you sane. Stay frosty, stay positive, and game on, my dear friends, game on.

Weekly Update

CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF RPG PUBLISHING – ONE GAME SYSTEM – EVERY GENRE – COUNTLESS WORLDS – ENDLESS ADVENTURE

BY KEVIN SIEMBIEDA

Event News – Palladium Books® – Weekly Update – February 27, 2026

Please join us for a Weekend Conversation with Kevin Siembieda – April 24 & 25, 2026 – Westland, Michigan – admissions available now. Limited to 60 or so visitors and we already have a dozen friends and fans who told us they’ll be there. This is in conjunction with seeing the Worlds of Palladium exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum. See complete details below or click on the link.

What’s Hot at Palladium? Due to the Explore the Megaverse® Sale that just ended, Rifts has been absolutely on fire, especially Rifts® Psi-Ops: Psychic War, Rifts® Ultimate Edition, and the Cyberworks Collection. Palladium Fantasy, After the Bomb® and Dead Reign® titles saw a lot of action, too. Gotta love those mutant animal books (easy to use with TMNT & Other Strangeness) and survival in the Zombie Apocalypse.

Though they were not on sale, the TMNT & Other Strangeness products also remain hot sellers. Gamers are loving the books, the dice, and the GM Screen. That said, we suspect many gamers and TMNT fans do not realize that the TMNT & Other Strangeness products are now available to everyone. Or that each of the two hardcovers contains three books in one with the clean layout, rules updates, expanded mutant animals and tables, and all of it in gorgeous color. A great game and setting to introduce young and new gamers to role-playing.The books are now available in stores and from Palladium Books directly, so please spread the word.

We plan to make sure retailers at the GAMA Expo next week know about TMNT and all of Palladium’s game lines. If you’re attending GAMA next week, please stop by the Palladium Books Booth #1229 to chat, see books, make purchases, and take advantage of the expo specials. We are happy to sign books, so bring ‘em over.

COMING SOON! Star Anvil’s Rifts® Phase World® for Savage Worlds Kickstarter – Watch for it and sign up to their pre-launch page now so you don’t miss it. Like the Pinnacle books, this material, especially weapons, gear, spacecraft, and adventures, will be easy to adapt to your Palladium Phase World campaigns as well as offering a zillion ideas. They’ll be exploring new ground, offering new weapons, gear, villains, settings, adventures, and more across the Three Galaxies™. All of it official and sanctioned by Palladium Books. Follow this project now so you don’t miss out when it launches (soon).

COMING March 15th – Sean and I will be back for a new Legion of Myth livestream on March 15th, starting at noon. We invite you to ask questions about Palladium’s past, TMNT, Erick Wujcik, Rifts, BTS, or Blizzard Entertainment flying me in to talk about worldbuilding, or ask questions about game design, writing, comic books, and whatever else you might wanna know.

COMING SOON! We are continuing to work on books behind the scenes. In addition to sending titles in for reprinting, we are wrapping up Island at the Edge of the World, Second Edition (Fantasy), Rifts Bestiary 2, and more.

NEWS! The Palladium Books YouTube channel has grown by nearly 300% over the last year and continues to grow. Owlcon and Ninja Turtles

The photo above shows Game Master Joshua Hill and a gaggle of gamers playing TMNT & Other Strangeness at Owlcon.

“Owlcon was a big part of how I discovered tabletop gaming as a teenager growing up in Houston,” said Palladium’s Sean Owen Roberson, “so it is surreal to see books I worked on being played there by smiling gamers.”

We’re always delighted to see Palladium Books’ games being played at conventions, and we’re looking for Game Masters to run TMNT, Rifts, Palladium Fantasy, and all our games at Gen Con this summer. CLOSING THOUGHTS

Weekend Conversation with Kevin Siembieda

Between the many YouTube interviews I’ve done and the new Worlds of Palladium Books exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum, it all feels awesome and a little weird to me, personally. It’s wonderful to be recognized and celebrated.

There’s no doubt that Palladium Books helped to shape the gaming industry and the way role-playing game books are designed and published. I mean, Palladium Books pioneered the use of dynamic art, compelling lore, strong storytelling with both art and writing, and epic worldbuilding. Why else would Blizzard Entertainment invite me to speak about worldbuilding on their sprawling campus?

Palladium’s RPGs and sourcebooks have inspired generations of countless gamers, artists, writers, and game designers as well as book authors, comic book creators, filmmakers, and video game designers. It’s amazing and beautiful to have brought so much joy and inspired so many other people. I am truly humbled by it.

As role-playing games enter a new age of popularity and growth, multiple generations have come into the hobby, and they are looking back at the history of RPGs. Old school games are becoming coveted collector items. People want to know about the early days, early games, and the people responsible for them. I think that’s fantastic. I encourage people to talk to the early innovators, artists, writers, game designers, and publishers while they can.

I myself am endlessly fascinated by the origin stories of our industry. I love learning about the hows and whys things were done, the deliberate successes, the happy accidents, and yes, even the failures and why they failed. We’ve already lost many of the early innovators. If we want to understand and know the true history of role-playing games and the people behind them, we need to do it while those individuals, and those who remember the people we’ve lost, can still accurately recount those stories with reasonable accuracy.

This is why I have been appearing on more podcasts and YouTube channels. It’s why Sean Roberson encouraged me to do the Palladium Books YouTube chats with J-M DeFoggi. It’s why we talk about Palladium’s many games and the ideas and people involved in their creation. With the passing of industry founders as well as close personal friends like Kathy Simmons, Erick Wujcik, Keith Parkinson, Julius Rosenstein, amongst others, I feel a pressing need to share my experiences, thought processes, and memories of the people, attitudes, and events from those time periods.

We are all part of history, the present, and the future. The things we do in the now become the past and often shape aspects of the future. Our words and actions touch and influence – for good or ill – the lives of people we know as well as complete strangers, and often in ways we can never imagine. That’s why I love the line from the movie Gladiator, What we do in life echoes in eternity. What we do has meaning and significance even if we don’t realize it in the moment. And, yes, that includes you.

For a number of unfortunate reasons, my beautiful, dear father had low self esteem. He saw himself as nobody of great importance. So not true. My Dad’s words and deeds, love and wisdom, helped shape me and the way I see the world and treat other people. He, my mother, brother, Erick, Kathy, and everyone who has touched my life have helped shape me. They helped form the things I love and hate, and the way I live and write. Their influence is reflected in my own imagination, the worlds and characters I create, and the words I put down in the books you love. In that way they all continue to live. Their words and deeds still echo through eternity and will continue to do so in each of you long after I’m gone; encouraging and inspiring a legion of gamers and artists and creators into the future. It’s the so-called Butterfly Effect, and it’s miraculous.

That’s why it’s important we always try to be our best selves and a positive force. It’s why we must fight the darkness and strive to be the light. Yep, we’ll all screw up sometimes, but we need to get back up on our feet and strive to do the right thing. To be the light. As my Mom would say, “If you learn from your mistake, was it really a mistake or a valuable lesson?” As Erick Wujcik would say about life, “It’s all good.”

So come to the Weekend Conversation with me, Kevin Siembieda, and friends. We can talk philosophy and life, we can talk about the people we lost, the history of Palladium, game design, GMing games, and anything else your heart desires. But let us do so with love and camaraderie. Let’s spend time together, laugh, and make some cherished memories. Meanwhile, keep your imaginations burning bright, enjoy life, and be the best version of yourself that you can muster today.

We updated the Palladium Books website making it easy to find and purchase TMNT & Other Strangeness and we hope you’ll help spread the word that the products are now available for purchase. You can get your copy directly from Palladium Books as well as many hobby stores and game shops. If your favorite store doesn’t have the TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG products, please let them know they are available.

Please help if you can – the BRIC crowdfunder saves children from slavery

We all talk about how slavery and child abuse is horrible. Epstein is in the news every day. Here is your chance to truly do something about it in one small corner of the world.

The people of the Democratic Republic of Congo face one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. Displaced, starving, and homeless children and teens are taken from their families and forced to become child-soldiers and slaves of rebel warlords. BRIC has created a safe haven that protects and offers services necessary for survival. However, it needs our support to continue to provide protection, food, and aid.

Please join me (Kevin Siembieda) and Sean Owen Roberson by helping in any way you can. Your donations, small or large, will save lives. $10 is all we ask. Let us show the world how caring and powerful the Palladium gaming community can be. Let us help them shatter their modest goal of $2,500 for this funding campaign. The link to the crowdfunder webpage is listed below. This current BRIC fundraising campaign is happening now and ends March 16, 2026. Every penny collected goes to BRIC. Thank you for your consideration and support. Please spread the word. Your help is appreciated.

Pushing hard

We are pushing hard to get books into your hands and doing much more social media and marketing – which you are loving. That’s great because we aim to please.

The Weekend Conversation with Kevin Siembieda (details and tickets coming soon) is a special event that celebrates Palladium Books’ 45th Anniversary in a casual environment tentatively Friday and Saturday, April 24 and 25. It’s just two afternoons of hanging out and chatting with fans about the history and future of Palladium Books.

As usual, there are a lot of things happening behind the scenes that you’ll love, but we can’t reveal anything quite yet. Meanwhile, keep your eyes and ears open for that Phase World sourcebook project coming from Star Anvil (it’s the first of many) and a big, Audio RPG Nightbane crowdfunder with some special physical items you’ll really want to get. More news to come.

For now, enjoy the Explore the Megaverse Sale, help support BRIC if you can (only 10 bucks), and enjoy a nice weekend. Wayne and I hope to see some of you at the GAMA Trade Show about a week from now. Bring books to sign and come looking to buy Rifts and TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG products – heck, the whole Megaverse of RPGs. See ya.

Weekly Update

CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF RPG PUBLISHING – ONE GAME SYSTEM – EVERY GENRE – COUNTLESS WORLDS – ENDLESS ADVENTURE

BY KEVIN SIEMBIEDA

Sale – News – Palladium Books® – Weekly Update – February 13, 2026

Palladium Books turns 45 years old this year. I know there is a percentage of you who have followed us since the very beginning. Our heartfelt thanks to all our fans whether you’ve been with us since year one or just discovered us last week.

Here are 5 ways to celebrate Palladium’s 45 year milestone:

1. Try a new Palladium setting or sourcebook that you never tried before. Our new Explore the Megaverse SALE should help you do just that. Check it out, below. Oh, and this will be just the first of our special sales and offers throughout 2026.

2. The Detroit Institute of Arts museum is across the street and is one of the best in the country.

Detroit Historical Museum – 5401 Woodward Ave, Detroit, Michigan, 48202 – telephone: 313-833-1805 – Admission: $15 for adults, Children 6-12 $8. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, Open Wednesday thru Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM, Sunday 1-5 PM. While in town for the exhibit you may also be able to visit Palladium’s Westland office and warehouse. Just call ahead of time (734-721-2900) to make sure Kevin and/or any staff members will be available to greet you and offer a brief tour. We are happy to chat and sign any books you bring. Subject to staff availability. No guarantee. Call 734-721-2900 office tel – 39074 Webb Court – Westland, MI 48185. Near Ford Road and I-275.

3. Join us for a Weekend Conversation with Kevin Siembieda at Palladium Books – April 24-25 (tentative). Come see the museum exhibit in the morning and hang with me (Kevin Siembieda), the Palladium staff and other visiting artists, writers, and game creators in the afternoon and evening. This is not an Open House and there’ll be no games. It’s exactly what it sounds like, hanging around and asking Kevin and crew questions about the history of Palladium Books, the Detroit Gaming Center, Erick Wujcik, TMNT and other favorite books, etc., at the Palladium warehouse. Informal and fun. Product will be available for purchase. More to come.

4. Join me (Kevin Siembieda) and Sean Roberson at 11:00 AM Eastern for a livestream chat on Legion of Myth this Sunday, February 15th. Topic of discussion: The history and many accomplishments of Palladium Books. Did you know we were the first to do a universal game system and perfect bound books? Did you know Palladium was the first company to license the TMNT and the first to do a Robotech game? We also set a new standard for cover and interior artwork, world building, and lore. Ask questions about TMNT, Erick Wujcik, Keith Parkinson, and more.

5. Help celebrate 45 Years of Palladium by running gaming events at Gen Con! Let’s introduce new gamers to the Megaverse. If you are planning to attend Gen Con earn a free badge ($164 value) and 50% off Palladium products by running four or more Palladium games. That can be any of our game worlds from TMNT or Heroes Unlimited to Rifts® or Palladium Fantasy (our rules or Savage Worlds). When matted or framed on a white background they look like dynamic wood cut prints. And they are on sale right now!

CLOSING THOUGHTS

Palladium Books turns 45 years old

I can hardly believe I have been writing and publishing role-playing games and sourcebooks for nearly half a century. What an honor and a blessing. As you know, I love what I do, I love the people I work with, and I love you, the greatest fans in the world.

To celebrate Palladium Books turning 45 this year, we will be offering sales like the one going on now, and special opportunities throughout the year. (Keep your eyes open on May 5th, the date when the TMNT #1 comic book was first released.) It’s also one of the reasons I’m doing A Weekend Conversation with Kevin Siembieda, April 24 & 25 (tentative date). And make sure you come see us at Gen Con, and bring books for us to sign.

It’s pure coincidence, or perhaps destiny, that the Detroit Historical Museum decided to do the Worlds of Palladium Books exhibit this year. Again, what an honor. I am deeply touched and honored.

Despite the single digit temperature, a lot of gamers and friends came to the exhibit’s opening last Saturday, February 7th. Parking was a nightmare and it made me 30-40 minutes late for my scheduled talk, but folks were understanding and waited for me. I chatted about Palladium’s early days and answered questions. You can soon see the talk on Legion of Myth as Heathen Dog and his lovely family attended the opening and they video taped the talk. The lights of the small auditorium were in my eyes, so even though he was right there in the front row, I didn’t realize it was him until he walked up to me afterward. It was a delightful surprise.

Another surprise was the family that drove in from Missouri. Since they came from so far away, I invited dad, Aaron, MacKenzie, and Andrew to tour the office. We hung out for an hour and a half after the exhibit closed before they had to hit the road to go home. I enjoyed the visit and the entire day. (Hey, reach out to me by email, Big Daddy.)

The whole afternoon was a delight for me. I tried to chat with as many people as I could – my apology if I was unable to chat with you – and this is another reason I want to do the two day Weekend Conversation with Kevin Siembieda at the end of April. I signed a lot of books and was super-happy to see so many gamers and friends. Old pals Michele and Mikki Ivey were there, Erik Campion and his buddy, Chris Guertin, Bill Korsak, and a bunch of others. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

My old comic book art mentor Arvell Jones showed up late-afternoon. Perfect timing because the crowd had thinned out and I got to enjoy talking with Arvell for a good 20 minutes. He was so proud of all I have accomplished. I love Arv and it was great to have some time with him at this special event. An event you still have time to see, because it runs through September 13, 2026, so come on over to see it, and maybe swing by the Palladium office while you’re in town.

A special shout out to Patrick Marshall and his lovely wife, Debbie. They visited the Palladium office Thursday afternoon as part of his birthday. Happy birthday Patrick! It was great meeting you both. I hope the rest of the day was nice.

That’s it for now. Enjoy the sale, I’ll see some of you at GAMA in two and a half weeks, and explore new realms of adventure.

COMING! April (or May) – A weekend of conversation with Kevin Siembieda

The idea is to set aside a particular spring weekend (probably late April) where gamers can come down to see the Worlds of Palladium Exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum, and then come to the Palladium warehouse and visit with me and available staff, freelancers and friends, Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening. You can ask us about the history of Palladium Books, the Detroit Gaming Center, Erick Wujcik, the early days of the RPG industry, your favorite game books, world settings, game design, writing, etc. You’ll also be able to get books signed, a tour of the offices, and get stuff you may be missing. Limited to 50-60 Visitors: First-come, first-served basis. A gathering of fans and friends like a family reunion or a big birthday party. (I am turning 70 in April.) Dates: Yet to be determined, but looking hard at April 24 & 25 (or May 1 & 2). More details to follow as we work them out.

Game Masters Needed to Run Palladium Gen Con Game Events – we need YOU

Game Masters and Game Event Descriptions NEEDED by March 8, 2025. Submissions after this date are not guaranteed to be in the Gen Con Program Book and attendance may suffer.

(Note: See Gen Con’s website for details about the info needed for each game listing; G.M.’s name, number of players, length of time, name of game, difficulty level, etc.) Submitting your games to us enables Palladium to coordinate and submit them as a batch to Gen Con and guarantees to have your event listed in the onsite Gen Con Program Book.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

Odds and Ends

We are all looking forward to the opening of the Worlds of Palladium Books exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum, Saturday, February 7th. A lot of friends and neighbors said they would attend the opening. As noted earlier, I will be present to chat with people and sign books from 1-5 PM, and so will some of the Palladium Staff. Freelancers and friends will be drifting in and out that afternoon, AND Palladium will have a table there offering TMNT and Rifts titles and a small selection of other RPG products for sale. It all still feels like a nice dream.

Sean just finished edits and tweaks to the Sophie Campbell and Kevin Siembieda bonus PDF adventure for our Kickstarter backers. It should be made available to backers very soon. He’ll be diving back into Rifts Bestiary Volume 2 and Rifts Chaos Earth: First Responders, two long awaited Rifts sourcebooks.

As for me, I’m juggling a lot: book reprints, new printer options, convention details, business opportunities, contracts, royalties, logistics, assigning work for upcoming books, and dealing with this very cold and snowy winter.

That’s it for now. Please spread the word about the museum exhibit which runs till mid-September, and also let fellow gamers know that the TMNT & Other Strangeness Redux books, GM screen, and mutagen green dice set are, a) awesome, b) now available in stores and from Palladium Books’ online store, and, c) everyone needs them! lol

Worlds of Palladium exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum

NEWS! Palladium Books and Kevin Siembieda recognized by the Detroit Historical Museum for contributions to tabletop games

Exhibit Opening is February 7th, 1 PM, please join us

This is one of the greatest honors of my life (a DragonCon award and GAMA Hall of Fame are up there too). To be recognized in an exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum in downtown Detroit feels like a wonderful dream.

Come to the Worlds of Palladium Exhibit OPENING – Saturday, February 7 – Meet Kevin Siembieda at 1 PM till closing (5 PM)

Ask me questions, bring books for me to sign, and meet Palladium Books staffers like Alex Marciniszyn, Wayne Smith, and Caleb Nelson who will also be present at 1 PM for a while. There is a more formal discussion with me and the curator from 3:00-3:30pm, but I will be there till closing. How many game designers and RPG companies have ever had an exhibit in a historical museum? It’s astonishing to be recognized by my home town of Detroit in my lifetime. Please share in this joyful and historic celebration.

ALSO see the Heroes vs. Villains: Detroit’s Comic Book Story exhibit nearby. I am just one of the many Detroit comic creators recognized. (Alex and I created and published Detroit’s first comic book, A+Plus!) Mike Kucharski, who did artwork for various early Palladium titles as well as Erick’s Amber Diceless RPG and Amberzine, is also recognized in the Comic Book exhibit (which ends September 13, 2026).

The Worlds of Palladium Exhibit – runs from February 7 thru September 19, 2026 – Detroit Historical Museum – 5401 Woodward Ave, Detroit, Michigan, 48202 – telephone: 313-833-1805 – Admission: $15 for adults, Children 6-12 $8. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, Open Wednesday thru Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM, Sunday 1-5 PM. Heck, make a day of it, and see all the awesome Historical Museum exhibits including the Streets of Old Detroit (my all-time fave) and the Detroit art museum is across the street; it’s one of the best in the country.

In the months ahead, when you’re in the area to see the Worlds of Palladium exhibit, you may call Palladium ahead of time (734-721-2900) to see if Kevin and/or staff member may be available to give you a brief tour of the Palladium office and warehouse – practically a gaming museum in and of itself – and hang out for 20 minutes or so, bring books to sign. If we are not too busy and available, we are happy to do this for you. Entire families and groups of friends are welcome. Subject to availability and our production schedule. No guarantee you can visit. (734-721-2900 office tel – 39074 Webb Court – Westland, MI – near Ford Road and I-275 and an Ikea).

COMING! A weekend of conversation with Kevin Siembieda this spring

Because so many friends and fans have told me they want to come in from out of town to see and celebrate the Worlds of Palladium Exhibit with me (thank you everyone, I am deeply touched) – I thought I would do a special weekend event when it’s warmer and nicer, like the end of April or early May, to help make their trip special.

This is NOT a Palladium Open House! No gaming. YOU will be responsible for your own food, hotel, and travel arrangements. Probably limited to 50 or 60 people on a first-come, first-served basis. This is a weekend with me and the guys. A gathering of friends like a family reunion or a big birthday party. (Hey, I am turning 70 in April.) A time to just visit and chat. I’m thinking of a Friday AND Saturday event in April or May.

The idea is, you go see the exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum (see the Comic Book one too) one morning or early afternoon, and then you come to the Palladium Books warehouse to hang out that afternoon and evening. Nothing fancy. Ask me and the rest of us questions about the history of Palladium Books, the Detroit Gaming Center, Erick Wujcik, the early days of the RPG industry, your favorite game books, world settings, game design, etc., get autographs, buy stuff you’re missing, and have a nice time. More details to follow.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

Being part of gaming history is a precious gift

The Worlds of Palladium at the Detroit Historical Museum, February 7 thru September 19th, has more significance for me than you might think. The Detroit Historical Museum has always been one of my favorite places to visit, especially in my youth, and holds a truly special place in my heart.

Whenever I went to the Detroit Institute of Arts museum across the street, or the main library across the other street, I would pop into the Historical Museum and visit all three. (And when I was a little kid, my family would make a stop at the Children’s Museum a little ways down on Kirby Street.) There was a period in my teens when I would make this pilgrimage by bus almost every weekend. These were three of my happy places. Each a home away from home and a place that fueled my imagination and inspired my creativity. The Streets of Old Detroit permanent exhibit in the basement still fires up my imagination.

These bastions of the arts and history, and the area around them, not only played a huge role in my development as an artist, writer, and publisher, but seemed like part of my destiny. I would end up attending the Center for Creative Studies, College of Art and Design just a couple blocks east of the Detroit Historical Museum. A few years later I’d become involved with the Wayne Weregamers, the gaming club at Wayne State University whose campus lies one block west of the museum. Not only that, Erick Wujcik and I (with help from many others) would establish the Detroit Gaming Center (DGC), another happy place, about 6 blocks south on Cass Avenue not far from Erick’s apartment on Prentis. So in a way, this all feels like coming home.

It is amazing and humbling to be recognized and celebrated by my hometown of Detroit. I am happy to have had such a positive influence on not just the gaming industry, but millions of gamers and creative individuals. Countless numbers of fans continue to tell us how much joy our games have brought into their lives and inspired their own creative pursuits.

Here are some of the milestones of Palladium Books’ 45 years

– Our covers, artwork, worldbuilding, and lore raised the standards of the RPG industry and continue to inspire generations of game designers, writers, artists, comic book creators, actors, filmmakers, and all kinds of people.

– Palladium was the first to introduce softcover “perfect bound” books onto the RPG market.

– Palladium was one of the very first to move away from generic game settings in a big way, starting with The Mechanoid Invasion Trilogy (1981) and Palladium Fantasy RPG (1983) and quickly followed by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness, Robotech, Ninjas & Superspies, Beyond the Supernatural, Rifts, Nightbane, and all the rest.

– Palladium was the first to produce a universal game system starting with the Mechanoid Invasion Trilogy (1981).

– We were proud to learn that the Palladium Weapon Series books by me and Matthew Balent (and one by Erick Wujcik and another by Maryann Garner) were being added to libraries and used in some schools. They are indeed, well researched and historically accurate. Great job, Matt.

– Palladium Books is the first RPG company to create a true universe of many unique game worlds that fit almost every genre from fantasy and science fiction to super-heroes, modern horror, urban fantasy, zombies, post-apocalypse, space opera, military/war, and the mult-genre mixing pot that is uniquely Rifts.

For the proof, see game lines like The Mechanoids Trilogy, Palladium Fantasy RPG, Heroes Unlimited, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness, Robotech, Macross II, RECON, Ninjas & Superspies, Beyond the Supernatural, Rifts, Phase World, Nightbane, Systems Failure, Dead Reign, and After the Bomb. By the way, there are a few genres we plan to explore in the future.

– Palladium Books was the first company to license the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1985). Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness RPG became our first mega-hit. See the new, remastered, full color, Redux Editions available now.

– Palladium Books was the first game company to license Robotech (1986) and it became our second mega-hit.

– Palladium Books was the first to release on VHS tape (1989/1990) the following Robotech anime series: Robotech II: The Sentinels, Southern Cross/The Masters Saga, and New Generation. Each a bestseller that helped launch the anime VHS explosion in the early 1990s.

– Palladium was the first game license of Macross II (1989).

– Rifts was one of the first RPGs to combine two genres such as fantasy and science fiction into a unique world setting – Shadowrun and TORG being the other two that came out within the same time period. And Rifts is the very first to combine five or more genres in one setting.

– Rifts has out sold TMNT & Other Strangeness and Robotech combined, making it our biggest hit ever. There are 100+ Rifts titles continuously in print.

– Palladium is the first and only game publisher to anything like the Christmas Surprise Package.

– I had the incredible honor of helping found the Detroit Gaming Center (DGC; 1980) with the illustrious Erick Wujcik, Renee Vega, Matthew Balent, and a few others. The first of its kind in Detroit, and perhaps the nation, as an independent non-profit organization not funded or supported by a university or school. Erick and Matthew kept it going at one location or another and form or another for two decades.

– I had the great honor of being the first (and only?) role-playing game designer to be invited to the campus of Blizzard Entertainment to speak on the subject of worldbuilding (2010).

– I have written or co-written more than 200 RPG books and created more than a dozen unique worlds.

– I had the privilege of giving some legendary artists their first published art job including Ramon K. Perez, Tyler Walpole, and Freddie E. Williams II, amongst others. And have had the joy of working with many artists of renown (Steranko, Corben, Bissett, Hickman, Elmore, Eastman, Laird, and others).

I love meeting and chatting with some of the millions of gamers who have played our games and gotten countless hours of joy from them. I’m absolutely tickled every time I hear about parents passing our games on to their children, cousins, nieces and nephews.

When I first started Palladium Books, I didn’t even consider the lasting positive and joyful experience our games would bring to the players. I just wanted people to have fun and to share the types of games, worlds, heroes, and stories that I loved.

I have always been a big kid with an overactive imagination. I have a deep affection for art and stories of every kind, in every medium. I have been blessed with sharing those stories and inspiring others for 45 years, and I hope to continue to do so for many years to come.

My dear, dear friend Alex Marciniszyn says the Worlds of Palladium exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum, along with increasing invitations to be a guest at conventions, is the recognition I deserve for a lifetime of creativity. Sean agrees. All I know for sure is, I find it beautiful and humbling to have inspired and brought joy to so many. Please keep your own imaginations burning bright and dare to follow your dreams like I did. You’ll never regret it.

Last year at Granite State Comic Con Kevin Eastman had TMNT negatives from the first comic book on display.

PAGE Report

The Philadelphia Area Game Expo (PAGE) last weekend was a lot of fun for me. I was disappointed to find soooo many gamers who didn’t know I was a guest until they stumbled across me, but I still signed a lot of books and chatted with a lot of gamers. I’m there as a guest to make your convention experience fun and memorable. I love meeting and talking with fans. I will be a returning guest at PAGE, January 14-17, 2027. Take note and start planning now, seriously.

Why should you consider attending PAGE, especially if you live on the east coast (and eastern Canada)? Because there ain’t nothing else like it in that part of the US.

1. PAGE is the largest old-school role-playing game convention on the east coast! 3,000 attendees this year and continuing to grow by leaps and bounds.

2. 100+ guests! Yes, they get one hundred gaming guests. The old guard have amazing stories from the start of the RPG industry. Many of these people started it all in the 1970s and 1980s through today! Folks like Frank Mentzer (AD&D, D&D Red Box), Bob Watts (Grenadier Miniatures, Wizards of the Coast), Jamie Chambers (Dragonlance, Serenity RPG), Jeff Dee (Villains & Vigilantes, D&D artist), me (Kevin Siembieda), and way too many others to list here. How often do you get to meet and chat with so many gaming legends from the start of the RPG industry to present day? And let’s face it, as we get older, there are fewer and fewer of us left as the years go by. Please, come see us while you still can. As noted I will be a returning guest and so will Matt Balent and others.

3. New guard gaming celebrities included Professor Dungeon Master, Matt Forbeck (Marvel Multiverse RPG), Kelsey Dionne (Shadow Dark), Ed Stark (D&D 3.5E, Birthright), Al Spader (Star Trek), Chris Arneson (artist), Chet Minton (artist), the folks from Troll Lords, Top Secret, and many others. Check out the roster on their web site of the 100 guests that attended this year and expect similar next year.

4. The PAGE Charity Auction is mind blowing and fun! Hundreds of old, rare D&D games, books, dice, and original art, as well as games from other companies. I bid on a gorgeous original Jeff Easley illustration, but I let someone else get it.

5. Game companies and vendors in the Exhibitor Area. Palladium Books was there and you could have snapped up TMNT & Other Strangeness books before they hit store shelves, as well as gotten early printings of the original TMNT RPG and other old Palladium titles, Rifts negatives, etc. Other companies, creators, and artists are present like Wiz Kids, Troll Lords, Top Secret, etc.

6. Kevin Siembieda will be back at the Philadelphia Area Game Expo, January 14-17, 2027. And I’ll bring even more cool, rare, stuff for the charity auction and to sell at my booth. Please join me and other guests for a weekend of gaming, panel talks, autographs, selfies, autographs, and fun. Start planning for yourself and spread the word. I only attend Gen Con and one or two conventions every year; PAGE is one of them.

I enjoyed my time at PAGE last week. It was wonderful to see my old pal Matthew Balent from the Detroit Gaming Center and early days of Palladium, and his daughter Rhiannon, a talented young artist. We had booths right next to each other. I also loved that my dear friends J-M DeFoggi and Molly Osmus came to help out and hang out, as did my buddy Thomas Roache (Red Duke Games). Having a table next to Matt brought back fond memories of our very first Gen Con and Origins trips together. Matt was my convention travel companion from 1982-1988. Those were fun times.

It was nice seeing other old friends and acquaintances like Chris Arneson (I love his art and we shared a room), Al Spader, Frank Mentzer, Sean Patrick Fannon, Jeff Dee, and others. Everyone, from the convention organizers and volunteers to other guests to gamers, made me feel very welcome. Fan-girl Sara and her husband Gary were among the highlights as were Jon and Byrn, Wesley, Mike K, Dakota, and others. My Fantasy game was fun too, and the players were great. Oh, and talking to Bob Watts! Bob has a million amazing stories over the last 45-50 years in the hobby. I walked him to his booth after our Early Days of Role-Playing panel and had the pleasure of talking with him for another hour and a half. He’s a great storyteller and has had many enthralling experiences with many important gaming companies.

At my booth, I found it interesting that when people saw the TMNT & Other Strangeness Black, White, & Red Editions in person next to the full color books, they had a very hard time deciding which version they wanted. We sold an equal number of the color and BWR books at PAGE. I also found it fascinating that most people were drawn to the BWR editions first. I sold some Rifts and Fantasy books too. I hope to see more fans and gamers at the next PAGE.

Enjoy the Rifts® sale, snag yourself copies of TMNT & Other Strangeness Redux books, and take a peek at the fun and funny Surprise Package fan comments below.

Surprise Package comments from fans like you

Even though the Christmas Surprise Package deal is over until next Christmas season, we like to continue to post customer comments through the end of January. It’s a nice acknowledgement and thank you to them (you know who you are) and you enjoy reading them as much as we do. I read each and every comment that comes in the Surprise Packages and I like to post a brief response to the ones that appear in these Updates.

Now you need to focus on getting your copy of the TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG Redux books, G.M. Screen, and dice while supplies last, especially if you want a first printing. We suspect once they hit store shelves the first printing will sell out fast, just like the original TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG and sourcebooks back in the 1980s. You know you don’t want to get caught in between print runs for a few months as you wait for the next printings to arrive from China. Hey Everyone, the Surprise Package deal is over. We want to thank everyone who participated. It’s our pleasure to do them for you. The Surprise Package offer will not be available again until next Christmas season, so start saving now.

I’m a special guest at PAGE – the Philadelphia Area Game Expo,  which means I cannot pull your grab bag orders from your Wish List or sign your books until I get back next Monday. I appreciate your patience and understanding.

The Philadelphia Area Game Expo sounds pretty awesome with a huge emphasis on role-playing games and their creators – something like 100 RPG guests will be in attendance and I’m honored to be one of the Special Guests. I hope to see a lot of fans swing by my table to say hello and snag some TMNT and other RPG books, chat, and get autographs. I only have one small booth so the focus is on TMNT & Other Strangeness. By the way, Matthew Balent, OG from the Detroit Gaming Center and early days of Palladium Books has his table right next to mine. Come visit us.

However, that has left us temporarily out of stock of many fan favorite titles like Mysteries of Magic, Bizantium, Aliens Unlimited, Rifts England, Rifts Northern Gun 1 & 2, China 1 & 2, Rifts Adventure Guide, Rifts Atlantis, Bionics Sourcebook, Fleets of the 3 Galaxies, Thundercloud Galaxy, and even Rifts Psi-Ops Psychic War, amongst others. We’re working on getting something like 20 titles (out of stock or running low) sent to the printers but you’re probably looking at the end of February or mid-March for most of them.

Palladium is looking for experienced Game Masters to run Palladium RPG events at Gen Con. That can be any of our game worlds using our rules as well as Rifts® for Savage Worlds. If you were thinking about running games at Gen Con or want to help out Palladium, please coordinate with Palladium Books in order to get a dedicated room and other perks like a free Game Master badge, and discounts on your purchases at the Palladium Books booth.

To earn a free GM badge, all you need to do is run 4 games with 6 or more players in each game, 4 hours each. This will earn you enough credits with Gen Con to earn a GM badge – $155 value!

We hope to add to our usual crew of Gen Con Game Masters to run Palladium game events for any Palladium setting:

  • Rifts®

  • Rifts® for Savage Worlds

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles® & Other Strangeness

  • After the Bomb®

  • Chaos Earth®

  • Palladium Fantasy RPG®

  • Heroes Unlimited

  • Ninjas & Superspies

  • Nightbane®

  • Dead Reign®

  • Beyond the Supernatural and any of our other settings.

We need your commitment, game description and info by March 28. Send to Jeff Ruiz, aka NMI, via email at nmi {at} thedeificnmi.com

Game Masters and Game Event Descriptions NEEDED by March 28, 2025.

(See Gen Con’s website for details about the info needed for each game listing; G.M.’s name, number of players, length of time, name of game, difficulty level, etc.) Submitting your games to us enables Palladium to coordinate and submit them as a batch to Gen Con and guarantees to have your event listed in the onsite Gen Con Program Book. Being listed onsite is very important to have full attendance for your event. This date gives us enough time to compile and send Gen Con everything they need. Thank you!

Prospective Game Masters, please contact Jeff Ruiz, aka NMI, via email at nmi {at} thedeificnmi.com

Podcast and YouTube fun!

COMING!  RPG Pundit Live Stream with Kevin Siembieda – Sunday, January 25, 2026 – probably around 6 PM Central / 7 PM Eastern (exact time to be determined). The topic will be Remembering Erick Wujcik who would have turned 75 this month. We’ll talk about Erick the man, the gamer, and the game designer as well as the Detroit Gaming Center, TMNT & Other Strangeness, how Erick and I worked together (we were each other’s muse and sounding board), and a zillion other stories, so this should be fun.

The Palladium Books YouTube Channel continually posts new, timeless interviews and chats every two weeks, and with the holiday season we’ve been posting bonus episodes! Gamers and industry professionals are loving these informal and fun chats, so try a few, and please spread the word.

For more online fun listen to:

– The Glitterbois / Breakfast Puppies – Kevin Siembieda and the guys create characters and play in a Palladium Fantasy game. I, Kevin, am one of the 4 players (I rolled up a Goblin Cobbler Thief named Weasel Pete). It is both fun and informative. We used first edition rules.

– Ever wonder what Palladium’s game design philosophy is? Find out by watching or listening to the Legion of Myth marathon discussion with Sean Owen Roberson and Kevin Siembieda. It is fun, informative, and has applications for creating tabletop campaigns. TMNT is the primary example of discussion.

Last year at Granite State Comic Con Kevin Eastman had TMNT negatives from the first comic book on display.

Before digital printing, pages of a book were laid out by hand on a board, and each page was photographed. These are the photographic negatives being sold as individual works of art and collectibles. When matted or framed on a white background they look like dynamic wood cut prints. And they are on sale right now!

CLOSING THOUGHTS – PAGE & Conventions 2026

I’m nervous about traveling alone and attending PAGE as one of the Special Guests. I haven’t done a lot of traveling, especially flying, or being a special guest in probably a decade. I always worry I will disappoint.

It’s not that I don’t like to be a guest at conventions, I do, but I’m always so busy and I hate traveling alone. I much prefer to have a traveling companion, but most conventions can’t afford two of us, and if the other person is a Palladium staffer, that’s two of us absent from work for 4-5 days. Worse, I’m not the greatest at mingling and networking. I have my moments and I love the fans, but that shy kid sneaks out when I’m at a new venue filled with people I don’t know. Silly, but true.

That said, I am nervously looking forward to the Philadelphia Area Game Expo (PAGE). It sounds pretty awesome and there will be at least a dozen industry people there that I already know. Heck, by the time you’re reading this the convention will be in full swing.

The next event I’ll be attending is the GAMA Tradeshow in Louisville, Kentucky, March 5-8. This is an industry event, but we always encourage retailers and their managers to stop by the Palladium Books booth to  chat, get the latest news, and to bring books for me and Wayne to sign.

Gen Con is probably the next and last event of the year for me and Palladium. That’s the big game event of the year at Indianapolis, Indiana, end of July and early August. Come on over and visit us.

Toying with the idea of attending Granite State Comic Con because Kevin Eastman and other TMNT artist buddies will be there, but it’s a long, grueling drive even for 2-3 of us, so probably not.

I think that’s it for this Update. I hope to see some of you at PAGE. Please continue to spread the word about the TMNT & Other Strangeness Redux Editions. We really did put our hearts and souls into these beautiful and fun RPG books, and enjoy the fan statements pulled from the comment sections of Surprise Packages.

Everyone is raving about the quality and fun content of what is one of the most beloved RPGs of all time – given the deluxe treatment it deserves. You’ll love them. Now onto fan comments.

A.B. in Suffield, Ohio, writes: I just wanted to thank you all. Your RPGs helped me get better at storytelling. Now I’m in the process of getting my own modern Fantasy book published. Thanks for having such a diverse system that allows my players to do insane things and still not be the strongest characters in the room.

[That’s pretty cool, A.B., good luck and game on! – Kevin]

B.M. in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, writes: Thanks for extending the sale into January [ended January 14th]. I was waiting for all my TMNT Kickstarter stuff to arrive before getting a package this year. Everything showed up a couple weeks ago and looks fantastic.

[Glad to hear it, B.M. Folks are loving the TMNT & Other Strangeness products and go absolutely gaga over the books. That includes non-gamers. It’s rewarding to see because we all put our hearts and souls into them. Game on! – Kevin]

H.H. in Albany, Oregon, writes: This is my second Surprise Package. By the way, the After the Bomb® Starter Pack is awesome! I’m loving the community as well.

[That’s great! We are thrilled you’re enjoying your entire Palladium Books experience, H.H. The discounted After the Bomb® Starter Pack is a great way to get additional mutant animals and source material for it and for TMNT & Other Strangeness too. Game on! – Kevin]

R.D. in Lebanon, Tennessee, writes (in part): … keep releasing all the bad ass content that we have loved and cherished over the years. All of us out here love you guys to pieces.

[The feeling is mutual R.D. and friends. And you can count on more pulse-pounding releases coming your way in the months and years to come. – Kevin]

S.C. in Burbank, California, writes: Just getting back into Rifts after a 10 year lapse. Pulling out my old books that I got as a kid in the 90s so I can now share it with my own son is a trip! Keep up the good work.

[We will, S.C. Welcome back to the Rifts Megaverse® and you have fun gaming with your son. Heck, next thing you’ll know, he’ll be G.M.ing for you. – Kevin]

D.B. in Morgantown West Virginia, writes: Most favorite: Rifts®, Savage Rifts®, TMNT & Other Strangeness, and Heroes Unlimited. Love the games. All of them!

[Thanks, D.B., me too. lol. Game on. – Kevin]

P.D. in Kingwood, Texas, writes: Kevin and Team– thanks for keeping the tradition of extending the Surprise Package. For me it’s a tradition of looking at my Christmas haul and saying to myself, “I need a little more.” Thanks.

[You’re welcome, P.D., enjoy your haul. The rest of you will have to wait till next Christmas to get yours, but watch for other sales coming in spring. – Kevin]

T.P. in Ogden, Utah, writes: I truly appreciate the many games I’ve played from Palladium Books over the years, starting with the original Rifts® back in 1993 when I was AIT in the Army. Since then I acquired all of the Robotech and Macross II books and many more. You guys and gals are awesome. I hope Palladium Books remains in business for years to come.

[Thanks, T.P., and thank you for  your service. We’re putting things in place to keep Palladium going for decades. And boy,  oh, boy, do Sean and I have ideas for the future that you’re gonna love. – Kevin]

J.M. in Columbus, Indiana, writes: I was told to ask about Open House tickets. Seriously though, I appreciate all the hard work you guys have put in (to everything). I am catching up on the Glitterbois episodes and enjoyed the interviews with Kevin and Ramon.

[It’s funny, J.M., after almost every Open House I would say it might be the last, but in 2023, I did not, and it might be the last one. We’ve talked about and thought about doing another one, but it just won’t be the same without Julius Rosenstein and Kathy Simmons. Both played a huge role in its operation and I miss them both deeply. We are also reorganizing the company and the warehouse, so I just don’t know. I am delighted that you and so many others enjoy the Glitterbois interviews with me, Sean Roberson, Ramon Perez, and other Palladium creators. You must watch or listen to the dozens of timeless interviews between me and J-M DeFoggi on the history of Palladium and our many game books on the Palladium Books YouTube channel as well as on Legion of Myth, Turtle Track, (RPG Pundit coming the January 25th) and others. – Kevin]

R.M. in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, writes: I have been a fan for many years and you all have done a wonderful job making books that inspire the imagination.

[Thank you R.M., our mission is accomplished. I love to stoke the fire of imagination in other people and we’ll continue to do so. That’s part of Palladium’s legacy.. – Kevin]

C.W. in Reston, Virginia, writes: I’ve been playing and Game Mastering RPGs since [the day that] my brother brought home a copy of TMNT & Other Strangeness in 1991. I then purchased Heroes Unlimited Revised and Robotech with my hard-earned allowance money and never looked back! Since then, I’ve played a million games and a million systems and always enjoy Palladium’s art and writing.

[I’m happy we started you on your RPG journey, C.W., and that you continue to enjoy our work along with many others. Keep your splendid imagination burning bright. – Kevin]
