Palladium Collectibles – at Kevin’s Online Toy & Collectibles eBay Store

Palladium collectibles, books, artwork, and negatives, as well as action figures, toys, and other items from Kevin Siembieda’s personal collection are available from this Ebay store!

One-of-a-kind Palladium Books negatives are always very popular items at the Palladium Open House, Gen Con, and conventions, and are catching on as rare collectibles, unique in and of themselves. Last year at Granite State Comic Con, Kevin Eastman had TMNT negatives from the first comic book on display.

Before digital printing, pages of a book were laid out by hand on a board, and each page was photographed. These are the photographic negatives being sold as individual works of art and collectibles. When matted or framed on a white background they look like dynamic wood cut prints. And they are on sale right now!

CLOSING THOUGHTS

New books and excitement

We are pleased to announce that the updated and remastered Island at the Edge of the World Fantasy Sourcebook is now available. This book is written by Thomas Bartold, one of the fabled Defilers. Like most of our books, it is chock-full of surprises, strange magic, magic items, sinister villains, new adventure settings, and numerous adventures plus ideas for more. The updated grayscale art breathes new life into this fan-favorite book which has been out of print for a few years. Enjoy.

Also check out the 7 deluxe Nightbane red foil hardcovers being offered in the AudioRPG crowdfunder, along with a complete set of the Nightbane audiobooks and a cool set of Nightbane dice. It launches next Tuesday, May 19th. This is the first time the Nightbane sourcebooks have ever been available as hardcovers. When AudioRPG asked to make these books available as part of the crowdfunder, I immediately agreed because I knew you’d love ‘em and because I want a set for myself (lol). I’ve spoken to a number of you who plan to snag some, if not all, of these attractive, crimson foil, hardcovers as well as the audiobooks. Sweet. Please spread the word.

Please note that Sean and I have our own plans to make dice and other fun game accessories and compilations available in upcoming Palladium crowdfunders.

Speaking of cool compilations, don’t miss out on the TMNT Birthday Sale which ends in the next 5 days. Saving $10 on each of these beautiful hardcovers and the liquid-filled Mutagen Green dice set is huge. Each Redux hardcover contains three of your favorite TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG titles, remastered, expanded, in luscious color and with fun bonus art and information.

Otherwise we’ve been busy planning for Gen Con, Granite State Comic Con, and tradeshows, as well as working on books, licenses, and other things you’ll enjoy.

Hang tough during these crazy and uncertain times, escape into role-playing game worlds, and try to look on the bright side of life.

In Memoriam: Jodi Black — from Sean Owen Roberson

Dear Palladium Family,

I regret to inform you that our friend Jodi Black – Chief Operations Officer of Pinnacle Entertainment Group and Savage Worlds “den mother” – passed away this past Saturday surrounded by her family and many many friends. Jodi bravely fought an aggressive lung disease for many months, and we are all saddened to see her go.

As my fellow Texan and game designer Ed Wetterman said, “Some people just exist, never really making a mark, or a difference. Others are meteors streaking through a night sky in brilliant and sharp contrast to the darkness around them. Jodi Black is one of those people.”

Jodi was always fiercely protective, fiercely loving, and fiercely engaged. She did everything fiercely, and had a positive impact on everyone she met or worked with.

Jodi helped show me the ropes of working in the tabletop industry. When you hear me tell my story about a kind motherly woman threatening to break my fingers if I ever announced a Savage Worlds book out of turn, that was Jodi. She also personally introduced me to Kevin at GenCon 2019, and she and Clint always gave me invaluable support and advice as I worked to break into our niche industry as an author and designer. I learned a lot from her. I hope I learned enough. She was a model of the patience and love that I often struggle with.

From my conversations with all of you at GenCon, the Palladium Open House, the recent Weekend with Kevin event, and countless online interactions, I know that many of you are either fans of playing Rifts for Savage Worlds or enjoy the books because of the art, stories, and adventure material regardless of a different set of RPG rules. Jodi and her husband Clint Black, who co-designed the first edition of Savage Rifts as well as the Adventure Edition of Savage Worlds, are a huge part of what makes Pinnacle Entertainment Group the special company it is. If you engaged with Savage Worlds, I can almost guarantee that you also engaged with Jodi – whether you realized it or not. So I wanted to let you know about her passing. Please click this link to see Pinnacle’s official announcement and more details.

Jodi Black will be missed

Jodi Black was one of those people who made the world a better and brighter place just by being in it.

She was a ball of energy and good cheer. She was a dear friend and cheerleader of everyone she knew – and that was an army of people. When a younger Sean, new to the Pinnacle Savage Rifts team, wanted to meet me in person for the very first time at a Gen Con, it was Jodi who walked him over to the Palladium booth to make the introduction. When Sean returned after an hour or so of conversation with me, Jodi greeted him with: “Kevin’s great, right?” That’s Jodi in a nutshell. Kind, helpful, and full of life.

Our sincere condolences and love to her husband Clint, Jodi’s biological family, her Pinnacle family, and everyone who knew and loved her. This loss hurts so badly because we were the ones blessed to have had Jodi in our lives for the all-too-short time that she walked and laughed and gamed amongst us. Thankfully, she’ll remain in our hearts forever.

CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF RPG FUN – ONE GAME SYSTEM – EVERY GENRE – COUNTLESS WORLDS – ENDLESS ADVENTURE

BY KEVIN SIEMBIEDA

New Products, Sale & News – Palladium Books^® – Weekly Update – April 30, 2026

So much is happening with nine new Palladium products available now, more titles back in print, a Nightbane® special you must not miss, and more. Let’s get right into it.

The Weekend with Kevin Siembieda (and friends) Event – was fantastic. Gamers came from all across the USA – Arizona, Wyoming, Utah, Nebraska, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, Georgia and elsewhere – as well as Canada! We all had so much fun. It was like a mini-Palladium Open House with 60-70 people instead of 250-300, and without game events. Many likened it to a family reunion. The Legion of Myth was there, my business partner Sean Owen Roberson came in special, a store owner Garner and Andy from the Local Game Store journeyed to our humble event and loved it, and of course there was the Palladium staff, writers, artists, old friends, and new fans. Attendees also absolutely LOVED the Worlds of Palladium Books exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum. Glean more info in Closing Thoughts.

Please email your photos of the event to Rifter@palladiumbooks.com – thanks. I was great about taking pictures day one at the museum, but then got so caught up talking with people that I failed to take any photos at our own warehouse event. What a dope, eh? If you’d be so kind, please email us your photos at your convenience. Thanks.

COMING SOON! Island at the Edge of the World, 2nd Edition, Fantasy Sourcebook – New layout, typesetting, index, and all text and stats edited and updated to Second Edition rules. Artwork modernized with gray tones by Jeremy Colwell. We forgot how much fun (and scary) the adventures, magic, and villains in this sourcebook are. $24.99 retail – Cat. No. 458 – expected availability mid-May.

COMING SOON! Nightbane® Hardcovers for the RPG and EACH of the Nightbane sourcebooks – The books will be available as Exclusives in a crowdfunding campaign that starts May 19th by AudioRPG. This is the first time ever that each of the Nightbane sourcebooks are available as limited edition hardcovers! Palladium Collectors and Nightbane fans will want some if not all of these special editions. The audiobooks are super-cool too. When I listened to the Dark Designs Audiobook, the narration sounded so alluring and dramatic that I actually pulled out the physical book to compare the dialogue. I couldn’t believe we wrote something that sounded so amazing. Learn more on the AudioRPG pre-launch page.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

So much fun

The Weekend Conversation with Kevin Siembieda (and friends) was a big success and very fun. In fact, it was so much fun, a number of attendees suggested we do one every two years – food for serious consideration.

The two-day event started with meeting people at the Detroit Historical Museum from 10:00 AM to noon. That provided plenty of opportunity for photo ops and to see and talk about the exhibit. Everyone was impressed with the Worlds of Palladium Exhibit as well as the Comic Book exhibit.

On Saturday morning, the curators of the two exhibits, William Wall-Winkle and Brendan Roney, surprised us all by hosting an impromptu discussion about the making of the exhibit and a bit of Detroit gaming history. They also surprised us with the announcement that due to the overwhelming popularity of the comic book and game exhibits that Wayne State University is planning to write and publish a book expanding upon the material in the two exhibits. Awesome!

After the visit to the Historical Museum we would all break for lunch and meet back at the Palladium Warehouse from 2:00-10:00 PM to hang out and talk. I gave a number of tours of the offices and there were new products like the sports backpacks and prints to buy, plus most of the books and other products found in the online store. I also pulled out a handful of out of print TMNT and Robotech books for sale.

There were a number of surprises for me throughout the weekend, one was Sean Roberson, my business partner’s return from Asia to be part of the event. “I couldn’t miss this,” he said. Another was John Schloe AKA MaxLiao from Legion of Myth. I knew fellow Michigander Brett/Heathendog was going to attend, but Max was a complete and pleasant surprise. My dear friends Shawn and Lisa Hall surprised me and everyone in attendance with four sheetcakes saying Happy Birthday. Palladium Books turns 45 this year and I recently turned 70 so that was awesome. A trio of friends, Glen Evans, Kate, and Maggie, gave me the sweet gift of a T-Shirt with the image of Splinter that reads Father of Heroes.

It was also a delight to see old friends like Rex Barkdoll and his wife Maggie, Steven Dawes and his wife Lilly, Joe Bergmans and his friend Carrie, Greg and Caleb Diaczyk, Chris Guertin, John Wooten, John Klinkel, Mike Majestic, the Iveys, Nathan, Ed, Ben, and a host of others. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to spend time with everyone. Despite that, I had a great time and so did the multitude of gamers in attendance.

I gave tours of the Palladium Office, gave away hundreds of books from my personal reference library (stuff I didn’t need anymore), Sean and I gave a long panel talk each afternoon, we talked with many individual visitors, and signed a gazillion books. It was great. Many people commented on the friendliness of the Palladium staff, freelancers and friends, and asked us to host an event like this again. Maybe even every other year. We’ll give it some thought.

You have till September 13th to see the Worlds of Palladium and Comic Book exhibits at the Detroit Historical Museum. There are a bunch of other outstanding exhibits to see too. You might even be able to drop by the Palladium Offices when you go to see the exhibit, but call first to make sure we’re in town and available. Meanwhile, enjoy the Art Print Sale, snag one of those sports backpacks and/or the many books that are back in print.

An exciting weekend

The Weekend Conversation with Kevin Siembieda – and friends is this Friday and Saturday. We’re expecting around 60-70 gamers/friends/fans from around the country. It’s also partly my 70th Birthday celebration too.

It has been a hectic week preparing for this two-day event, and I’m feeling pretty tuckered out, but I’m sure the adrenaline will kick in and keep me going once friends and fans start to arrive.

We’ll be reminiscing about Palladium’s 45 year long history, the Detroit Gaming Center, favorite books, favorite close encounters, favorite people, the loved ones we have lost, the future of Palladium Books, and … well, everything Palladium and gaming.

So with it all starting tomorrow, I’m going to end this Update here. Please support the Star Anvil Phase World Kickstarter in its final hours, game on, and spread the word about Palladium’s awesome RPG worlds. Thanks and enjoy your weekend.

Rifts^® Phase World^® sourcebook Kickstarter for Savage Worlds – an official licensed game from Star Anvil Studios

This is a new, official license with Star Anvil Studios to create new Rifts® Phase World® sourcebooks using the Rifts for Savage Worlds rules. This is NOT a Palladium Books publication, but a trusted, third party licensee, Star Anvil, who is excited to bring Phase World to the Savage Worlds game system. (Note: Palladium has its own plans for new Rifts and Phase World sourcebooks using our Megaversal rules in the coming months and years.)

Though created for Savage Worlds, the sourcebook material can be converted to Palladium’s game system, especially the expanded galactic setting information, new characters, weapons, spacecraft, and adventures. This Kickstarter is a must for Rifts for Savage Worlds players and Game Masters, and a fun idea and adventure generator for Palladium gamers.

The Phase World® Kickstarter is off to a great start, so check it out to see if it’s for you. Star Anvil has big plans for future Phase World and the Three Galaxies sourcebooks, so Sean and I hope many of you support it.

• Phase World® has enthralled RPG players for decades, and with Rifts®: Phase World® for Savage Worlds, Star Anvil Studios brings this amazing setting to a whole new segment of role-playing game fans. Fun and adventure for traditional Rifts players and Rifts for Savage Worlds players. Check it out.

• You only need the Savage Worlds Adventure Edition game system and Savage Worlds Science Fiction Companion to play.

• Produced by Star Anvil Studios, an authorized licensee of Palladium Books.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

Be Historic

Yep, be part of something historic. We are celebrating Palladium Books turning 45 this year by hosting a Weekend Conversation with Kevin Siembieda – and friends. Many of those friends are other Palladium creators/writers/artists. There is still room for you to join the fun.

Unfortunately, Palladium has fallen victim to our own popularity! I’ve spoken to a number of fans who assumed the event was sold out. It is NOT, so come on over for one or both days. This is especially true if you live in the area or a nearby state like Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, or the Windsor area.

I’ll meet you Friday and Saturday mornings at the Detroit Historical Museum exhibit – Worlds of Palladium – where I’ll greet and hang out with you, participate in photo ops, and chat. Then we’ll all break for lunch and meet up in the afternoon and evening at the Palladium warehouse. We’ll provide tours of the office, and talk about all things gaming: Game design, running games, favorite games, what the industry was like in the 70s, 80s and 90s, the Detroit Gaming Center, early Gen Cons and other conventions, Judges Guild, people like Erick Wujcik, Keith Parkinson and folks outside of Palladium like Gary Gygax (D&D), Jordan Wiseman (Battletech), Mike Pondsmith (Cyberpunk), Steve Jackson (GURPS, Munchkin), and others! We also want you to share your stories about Palladium Books, your gaming experiences with our games, encounters with me, Sean, Erick, and other game creators, and so on. We can even get philosophical about the future of RPGs and most any subject you might want to chat about.

How often can you hang out with the game designers, artists and writers that make some of your favorite games? Almost never! This will be something rare and special that you’ll always remember. Pick our brains but mostly let’s have some laughs and enjoy each other’s company in a rare intimate setting. And we have some free giveaways to make it even more fun and memorable.

And yes, there will be things you can buy! RPG books, sourcebooks, miniatures, dice, artwork, negatives, some out-of-print books, and more. You’ll even have first crack at a few new items not yet available in the online store. There will be some special deals too. I repeat this because it has been a common question. Let’s make lasting memories together.

For those of you who cannot attend, we’ll see you at Gen Con, Granite State Comic Con, the Universal Summits, and at future events. Meanwhile, enjoy the Palladium Phase World & Dimensional Travels sale (it’s a great space opera setting), and take a look at the Star Anvil Rifts Phase World Kickstarter, it’s worthwhile.

Visit the Detroit Historical Museum and see the Worlds of Palladium exhibit – now thru September 13, 2026

The exhibit is freakin’ awesome and how many times does a role-playing game company get recognized like this? Not often. The exhibit itself is historic, so come and see it and all the impressive exhibits at the museum, like Heroes & Villains: Detroit’s Comic Book Story, Streets of Old Detroit (a fave), 100 Years of Red Wings Hockey, and America’s Motor City, among others. The Detroit Institute of Arts museum is across the street and is one of the best in the country. Detroit Historical Museum – 5401 Woodward Ave, Detroit, Michigan, 48202 – telephone: 313-833-1805 – Admission: $15 for adults, Children 6-12 $8. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, Open Wednesday thru Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM, Sunday 1-5 PM.

DriveThruRPG.com

300+ RPG products on DriveThru – a dozen unique world settings – one game system – endless possibilities. No other game company offers game worlds for so many different genres. Best of all, learn to play one Palladium RPG and you can play them all, because each uses the same basic core rules and combat. There are differences, but the fundamentals are the same. This also means you can bring characters, villains, monsters, powers, magic, weapons, gear, and adventure ideas from one setting into another or mash them together!

In addition to PDF titles for entire game lines like Rifts®, Palladium Fantasy™, Heroes Unlimited™, Ninjas & Superspies™, After the Bomb®, Beyond the Supernatural™, Dead Reign® (zombies), Nightbane® (Urban Fantasy), Rifts Chaos Earth®, Systems Failure™, Splicers®, RECON®, The Rifter® #1-85, and others, there are Game Master and player aids, character generators, paper minis, map packs, and FREE Previews of books like Creature Feature™, Dead Reign, Coalition Manhunters, Titan Robotics™, Rifts Bestiary Volume One, World Books, Dimension Books, and more to give you a glimpse of what’s in the book.

Be happy, play an RPG

I’ve spoken to a number of people who are scared about the state of the world, the US economy, politics, and war. I get it, but as I have said in the past, try not to fret about things you have no control over. Focus on what brings you joy, fun, and laughter – like role-playing games.

We all need to escape our day to day worries, and playing RPGs is a fantastic stress reliever. Do it.

What’s that? You don’t have a regular group to game with? That’s okay, pull out your favorite RPG or sourcebooks and reread them. I guarantee it will spark fond memories of games past and ideas for new adventures. Roll up a character or two, think about the character’s history and goals, and lose yourself in something fun.

If you’re looking for something new, take advantage of Palladium’s current Phase World sale and do yourself a favor and buy TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG and the epic Transdimensional Adventures sourcebook. Each collects three of the old Ninja Turtles role-playing books and presents them with state of the art color on quality paper, and all of it thoughtfully remastered with clean new layout, rules clarifications, new mutant animals and gear, plus a ton of new art and bonus material. Gamers and all Ninja Turtles fans are going crazy over them.

Or watch some of the timeless Palladium Books YouTube chats about your favorite games and the history of Palladium with me, Kevin Siembieda, and J-M DeFoggi. Not to mention a few special guest interviews. We’ve been told the videos are fun, entertaining, and informative. You can also listen to some of the Glitterbois podcasts or any number of Legion of Myth interviews with me and Sean or their discussions of numerous RPG topics – many revolving around Palladium’s games.

Please use our games (heck, any games!) as your lifeline to sanity and momentary escape into an array of fantasy realms where you are the hero fighting triumphantly against injustice and evil villains. Pick up a Palladium RPG today and save the world.

Stay frosty and hang tough. And if you can make it, visit me and the guys the weekend of April 24th and 25th. Let those imaginations and good vibes soar.
