CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF RPG FUN

A LEGACY OF INNOVATION – ONE GAME SYSTEM – ENDLESS ADVENTURE

By Kevin Siembieda and Daniel Lansdown

Are you down? Stressed out? Feeling the economic squeeze, especially as the holidays approach? You’re not alone.

I’ve spoken to a lot of people who are feeling all those emotions. The mudslinging of the political season only adds to the sense of despair, frustration, and gloom. Try not to let it all get to you. Please don’t let outside forces steal your joy or crush your sense of wonder. Hang tough and know there are people and companies like Palladium Books who understand and care.

That’s why I started the Christmas Surprise Package offer back in 1998. As a way to bring joy to thousands of our fans and customers every holiday season. To put a smile on your faces despite economic or seasonal woes. A way to bring you good cheer by providing something special during a special time of year. A time of thanks, kindness, and gift giving.

The Christmas Surprise Package deal always starts by the end of October and runs through Christmas Eve (and often extended into the first week or so of the New Year), so we can provide you with big savings and gaming fun accompanied by autographs and little surprises. We want to reach as many gamers as possible and gift them with a bit of extra holiday joy. It’s our way of giving back to you and saying thank you for your support and patronage. A little bundle of gaming joy to make you smile and inspire your imagination at discount prices. I mean, where else can you get $105 (often more) worth of RPGs and sourcebooks, with autographs if you request them, for only $65 plus shipping? These days, you could pay that for just one core rule book.

It doesn’t matter if you celebrate Christmas, Kwanzaa, the Winter Solstice, your birthday, or none of the above, please use the Surprise Package offer to treat yourself (you deserve it) and make other gamers happy for the holidays or any gift giving occasion. Truly the best deal in gaming. And this year there are even more SALES with big savings from Palladium Books.

The Mechanoids® Redux Edition is part of the Glitter Boy Codex Crowdfunder

Before the Terminator. Before the Matrix. Before Rifts, Phase World, or Aliens Unlimited, there was The Mechanoids.

Did you hear the news?! The Mechanoids Redux Edition: The Complete RPG Collection is part of the Rifts® Glitter Boy Codex crowdfunder that runs till November 20th. This huge, 320+ page book will collect the original Mechanoid Trilogy: The Mechanoid Invasion (1981), The Journey (1982), and Homeworld (1983), parts of Rifts Mechanoids Sourcebook (1992), AND the long forgotten The Mechanoids® RPG (1985) that contained an extra hundred pages of source material, artwork, vehicles, weapons, and more that has been completely unavailable for over three decades!

Sean has called the 1985 Mechanoids RPG “a lost and forgotten gem” – and the Mechanoids “a dark science fiction setting and characters ahead of its time.” Which is why he wants to collect and completely remaster it all into one big, beautiful, Redux Edition with new layout, updated material, and full color art. How could I say no?

The Mechanoids® Redux Edition – The Complete RPG Collection. Highlights:

• Written by Kevin Siembieda; with an adventure series by Erick Wujcik.

• Redux design, layout, and updates by Sean Owen Roberson.

• Rules Upgrade: The original Mechanoids, Palladium’s first RPG, was a rough prototype of what was to come. Now the popular Redux rules upgrade the Mechanoids experience to the classic Palladium Megaversal RPG system – revised and clarified for modern sensibilities.

• Expanded vehicle combat rules, including the comprehensive Redux rules for land, sea, and aerospace combat (first featured in TMNT Transdimensional Adventures).

• Artwork remastered for modern printing, scanned from the original production boards, this is a huge visual upgrade over what was possible in the early 1980s.

• 80% of the artwork is by Kevin Siembieda. Remember, most of you have never seen the 100 pages worth of additional art, characters, gear, or the cover painting from the 1985 RPG  that has been out of print for 30+ years.

• Never before seen art, I (Kevin) have dug up many pages of additional art created back in the day.

• Additional art by William Messner-Loebs, Newton Ewel, Kevin Long, Mike Gustovich, and James A. Osten.

• Newly colored for the very first time by Luis Antonio Delgado, renowned colorist of The Last Ronin, amongst many other books.

• Deluxe, full color hardcover for this incredible collection.

• 320+ pages – another dream project for me (Kevin) and Sean.

Rifts® Glitter Boy Codex – Join the excitement

Closing Thoughts – We Love Our Fans

We are blown away by your support for the Rifts Glitter Boy Codex and The Mechanoids Redux crowdfunding campaign and the Ninja Turtles 40% Off Sale. Thank you very much.

Letting the Ninja Turtles license go was Palladium’s choice, but it was still a disappointing turn of events for us. We’re just glad we have the opportunity to sell off our existing inventory allowing many gamers and TMNT fans to get these wonderful books before they are gone. They are gems. Those of you who have seen them are always blown away by the rules updates, new layout, art, and magnificent color.

We are feeling positive and throwing our creative energy fully into our many other working projects. From the active crowdfunder to the multiple books moving forward in the design and production process.

Your resounding support of the Rifts Glitter Boy Codex crowdfunder and positive response to the Ninja Turtles Sale has bolstered our spirits. We want as many people to get and enjoy these books – Rifts, Mechanoids, and Turtles – as possible. We’re working hard to give you the gaming products we think you’ll love. So enjoy them and spread the word about the sale, the crowdfunders, Surprise Package offer, and the growing number of Palladium videos on the internet. It’s all for your enjoyment.

And as I said in the opening of this Update, don’t let doomsayers and economic uncertainty crush your spirit. Unleash those imaginations through gaming. Stay positive and hopeful. We’ll do what we can to bolster your spirits throughout the holiday season and into the new year. Game on, my friends and find joy and escape in role-playing games and the friendship they bring.
