OK, here are the rules...no lists, no top 5, you can only select one thing.

What is the one thing you would like to see in the next book.

For me...Lunk's big ole honkin' cannon o' doom.

Which book? The UEEF Marine book, or New Gen?

Marine book: Some sort of anti-mecha sniper rifle.

New Gen: I suppose Lunk's BFG, but I think it may be the XHCPW-6 Heavy Particle SAW (modded of course) from the ASC book.

Aquatic Mecha and Vehicles

Generic Survival, Electronic, Medical, and Espionage Equipment (not unlike what is in Merc Ops, but with a more specificly targetted for Robotech) - i.e. no cybernetic related or derived equipment - unless you're presenting a way to integrate cyborgs, but even then its not widespread or accepted.

Rules for Robotech Master, Invid, and Haydonite Cyborgs (even if its just a few paragraphs on how to convert them from existing books)

Good idea, I generally allow replacement cybernetic limbs (arms legs) for characters, but nothing more.

Plus they could always add things that are standard equipment to today's militaries. You just need to extrapolate as to what the gear might be in our future.

The reason I asked for 1 thing is that in all threads for each of the books and such we all have put in the whole laundry list of what we want...the purpose of this was to see what 1 thing each person wanted most.

For me it was a toss up between the Shadow Drone and the Super Legios. In the end I went with the Super Legios because it was a sort of two for one deal.

I would like to see the Ground Attack Legioss. I believe it's a non-transformable version of an Alpha, that or it has Armor Package similar to the Armored Veritech.

I also like to think of it as a Resistance Modified Alpha. Kind of like a stinger, but they were unable to make it transform, so they added more Armor and additional weapon packages.

I'm not to keen on the three seashell idea, should like it might hurt.

Today MRE's have wipes in them, and most military personnel that go into the field take along a box of baby wipe to clean up the nether regions. I don't think that aspect of military life will change anytime soon.

I doubt they would make a stage four pilot since they changed the way they are worked into the new Invid system, heck they do not even get to leave thier armor any more. I used to want to play with one as a character in the first edition of Robotech. I would not mind them making them possible to play as characters myself. However I would not count on it.

Well, the military has cooks, yeomans, clerks, and other assorted poughs.....they go through basic training / boot camp then off to school to learn how to file, cook, and other drudge work things the military way.

I can definitely agree. As is, if you can pilot the mecha through the pilot skill (Battloid or Veritech) you can pilot and perform combat maneuvers as your character. Once you pick up the Mecha Combat skill your character performs at maximum combat ability. With that, you can imitate the TV Series fairly well, where you have Civilians performing some combat with the Mecha but not very well. But by the end of the series they have some skill.

Ditto...but I do not want it to turn into nothing but gear...let's get history of the Marines....and maybe a couple different eras worth of mecha....the Sentinels Destroids for early years of the expedition (as well as references they are used by colonial militias later in their life) and the Mospeada Destroids for later years up to and after the battle of reflex point.
