The call has gone out: there is a dire need of Rifter submissions:

There is a TON of tremendous stuff on this forum. If you've been thinking of submitting anything, now is the time. With potential sourcebooks on the horizon, anything that draws more attention the Splicers universe is a good thing. I'm prepping a few things now that I've been sitting on for some time. Fingers crossed.

How lenient are they when it comes to submissions that do not include art? I've never been an art type

They handle the art assignments. They have never expected the authors to include artwork.

Why don't we, as a forum, submit the first Unleashed as an article for the rifter? The stories are great, and there is enough there for a Rifter or two. Plus, the more Splicers stuff in the Rifter, the more people will get interested in (as far as I am concerned) the best setting in the megaverse.

I discussed this with Kevin previously and he seemed very excited, but with so much going on, it may need to be emphasized. However, I don't want to take opportunities away from you guys & gals either and this is a GREAT opportunity for all Spliceheads to get their ideas and work out to the masses. Perhaps several Splicers articles can invade the upcoming Rifters to prepare and generate more demmand for the sourcebooks. I do agree that the Unleashed contest(s) would make for a great series of articles and it does illustrate fandom and cohesive teamwork. I will discuss it more with Kevin and Wayne to see what they say. "If" greenlighted, please be prepared to sign the paper work and get it back ASAP!

OK, well, I just talked to Wayne and my brother in law. It looks like we're going to put together another Splicers article for Rifter #59. It will be focused on the Packmaster and modifications to the class and Gorehounds. It will probably include new and additional Bio-enhancements, specific enhancements for gorehounds, and some new bio-tech equipment.

If time and space allow, we may also do the same thing for Technojackers as a second article...maybe for Rifter #60. If Wayne sees fit, maybe we'll get it into the next one.

That may be in article number 3. If not, then I have a 4th. I also have 3 new marmounts too, which may make it into one of the aforementioned articles or will be in their own.

I'm also working on a project for Third Eye Games and the Sovietski Sourcebook while expecting our first child. YAY for over-scheduling.

Hate to double post, but I think the mind-Splicer submited to the board would be absolutely amazing to submit, if we can get permission, granted, I want to see your spin on it too.

I can tell you that there is more advancement based on level. TJ can specialisze in a number of areas so two high level TJs could have some very silmilar basic powers and abilities but be almost completely different in function.

I plopped you a PM. I think its a dr hellstrom creation. might be hellhound. i vaguely remember hell being part of the name. I have around 30 OCCs from the board. there is a second MindKnight character i can send you. different enough to have both in a campaign too.

I can even post them both, but i dont want to, because i didn't save the info on who made them, and don't feel like diving back 20 pages. or 7. whatever. but yeah, lots of supplemental material on this board.

I would suggest that you not be concerned about the artwork Jedrious, as Kevin handles that portion himself with assigning it out. Just focus on submitting your best Written & Complete article in the proper format and PB will do the rest. I am hyped about this year's releases and I think it will be a Time for the SPLICE to Flow!

I have a lot in mind for that. It's being integrated in our weekly game. Let me just assure you that it's bad news...really bad news.

I sure will, Ziggy. I have this short article I'm doing for the next Rifter, and after that I have to finish the Sovietski book and a book for Third Eye Games. Once those projects are completed, I'll be trying to get a splicers article done every month or so to keep my chops up before moving to another serious project (either Japan 2 or Monster Kingdoms of Europe)

All this and a child on the way?! My god, you are a work horse.

I like both the projects you mentioned. Now, if only you could get a "Japan 1" rewrite.

Ugh, I know, right? I rolled up a Tnegu as a pregen for my open house game and there are at least 5 contradictions in that R.C.C. alone.

Wow, a work horse and a brave man; to even tackle some of the stuff in Japan. I'm not surprised with your findings at all. While I liked some of the core ideas of Japan (especially the "Ancients" Vs. "Ultra-Modern" angle), the book itself was extremely disappointing. There are several of the early Rifts books that I would love to see total rewrites on. Seems they were victims of "Good Idea, Bad Executions".

Japan 2 will be consistant, and if I have an opportunity, I'm going to make some suggestions for Japan 1 for the next time it goes in for reprint.

I dont suppose you could do the same for like, the first ten worldbooks too?

I think england sorely needs an update to RUE. shoot, they all do.

Its something I'm going to discuss with Kevin at the open house. Updates to the older books need to be made when the reprints go in. Full chunks of additional material and things like Revised SB 1 and Vampire Kingdoms are highly unlikely, but edits of things that need to be modified for consistancy, appropriate skill names, perception bouses etc. should happen.

We have A LOT to discuss next week, bro.

Oh it's about to go down... I will bring my note pad. :D

Good times all around. Chuck and I had some really great talks, but of course, as it always happens, it they are never really long enough.
