Songs of the Psiren

Do the Psirens only have the following 'songs' to use?

Song - of Destruction
- of Healing
- of Insanity
- of Mesmurism
- of Protection
- of Sleep

Would they be able to 'create/use a new song as long as its similar to a spell?
like i know that there wont be any 'fireballs' or things like that .. but could a spell still be 'altered' slightly?

like using Whalesinger songs for inspiration.

just a thought .. comments?
Creator of the Chi grenade. Used in game by Kevarin [GM] and self as Mai - Civilian Martial artist that got amped via experiment. Ghost weapons and shirts rule.

Nano Missiles - used once and GM banned further use. They weren't THAT bad. and did stop a demon scout ship from returning with valuable info.

it's from the PF setting, but it could work.
luckily i had the Rifter its in as well ..
