Unread post by NMI »

Ever need to know where the skill "Pilot Bicycle" is located? Got a player wanting use an almost forgotten spell? Well search no further. The NEXUS Navigator is an online index of all things Rifts. This index is constantly being updated. Check it out!!! The NEXUS Navigator

Oh yeah, the Navigator was created by Vinny who was assisted by many friends.

Yep. I'm using MediWiki as the software. It's the one most people are familiar with.

His forums moved to a new server, but same address. http://thenexuspoint.com/nexusforums. But IMO there is quite a bit of negativity over there. Again this is IMHO.

I dont know about that. I am not there enough to have an actual opinion about that.

All I know is that without vinny I would have had a real problem with the SAE Website. He was the one who created the new database and hooked me up with Joomla '(which is awesome).

Working on an update of the Navigator to include not just Palladium Books games as that is no longer the exclusive direction of the NEXUS Point. The Navigator will have a new look plus features that make finding information and automation of that information easier.

You, will most likely have better luck asking on Vinny's board as he seems to rarely visit here anymore.

I've made a Rifts monster Index. Do you know if it could be helpful for the Nexus Navigator Crew? Do you know how to submit it to them? :?

Navigator is coming along. Lots of new additions added to the info and and sorting of material. The wiki utilizes an extension that can automatically generate lists. This helps with things like listing of skills on multiple pages.

Currently I have several projects going (not all of which are dealing with the NEXUS Point). For NEXUS Point business, I'm wrapping up the finishing touches of our relaunched Social Community Network for gamers with many of the same features as Myspace & Facebook, but geared towards gamers.

Then comes the Navigator. It has not been forgotten, and if it's simply done just for you, it is worth it.

I'm sorry it's taken so long gaby. Lots of other things have been going on in my personal life. But I'm working hard on building the templates before I start entering data.

The first set of data that will be entered are

Skills
Character Classes
Spells
Psionics
Weapons
Vehicles
NPCs

Then as time goes on, more detail will be flushed out. I figure having the above information available will be good for starters.
