You might want to take a look at the original Rifts conversion book.
It covers improving the MDC of the original Robotech games mecha.

Also you might want to look up Kitsune’s Palladium page. She has some information from mixing Phase World and Rifts Earth with Robotech.

Maybe they could license Heavy Gear from Dream Pod 9 as soon as the current license expires since Arkrite hasn't done anything with it. And I know it's been years but Palladium has worked with DP9 in the past (Macross II: Deck Plans Volumes 1 - 3).

The main thing to remember about Palladium Armours is that their stats are unchanged from the 1st edition of the game. 1st Palladium did not have nearly as many bonuses to your to-hit roll. And most things couldn't take near as much damage as they can now (no SDC for creatures).

In palladium trolls roll 3d6 for IQ, just like the humans. And OCC options are any execpt psionic.

My current group and I have figured that SDC will only be used when dealing with things like falls, hth, and such. Once it hits zero your taking an unexpected nap.

Things like swords, arrows, spells, even most hammer are HP weapons.
