Palladium Books^® – Weekly Update – December 7, 2023

One game system – every genre – countless worlds – endless adventure

By Kevin Siembieda and Sean Owen Roberson

Hello, everyone. Are you doing okay? Are you not letting the impending holiday season and gift-buying drive you crazy? I mean, Christmas is only 18 days away! Heck, for our Jewish friends, Hanukkah is already here! In fact it starts this evening (Happy Hanukkah). Well, hang in there and focus on the positive and fun aspects of the holidays.

Personally, I love the Christmas season. Even though we were below the poverty-level poor, growing up, my Mom and Dad always made the holiday – and my brother and me – feel special. After the gift-giving on Christmas morning, my Mom and Dad would give us each a big hug and kiss on the cheek. My smiling mother would then remind us that, “We may not be rich in money and possessions, but we are very rich in love. That’s the most precious gift anyone can ever have.” So true. So if your parents are pretty awesome and still with you, you are blessed. Make sure you let them know how much you love them – your friends and other loved ones, too.

This tradition of making people feel loved and special at Christmas time is why we do the Palladium Christmas Surprise Package and why we spend what sometimes feels like entire days signing books. [Entire days is quite literal. – Sean] But we are thrilled to do it. Though my orientation and fondness for Christmas is born from Christian tradition, we embrace everyone of every faith and belief. The holiday season – Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, or just because – are all good reasons to do nice things for nice people. Do you really need an excuse to do something nice that puts a smile on another person’s face? I think not, especially during these uncertain and rather tumultuous times. The Surprise Packages are our way of saying thank you for your support, suggestions, and friendship. Though many of us have never met, Sean and I feel like we know you through your Surprise Package comments, voices online, and brief encounters at conventions. We truly think of you as our extended family and friends, so we are delighted to do the Surprise Packages for you.

Besides, many of you buy Surprise Packages as gifts for others, whether it’s for the holiday, a birthday, or anniversary, which makes our efforts doubly important. It’s just as awesome if you are buying them for yourself, because you get to enjoy a little gaming hug and a good read to keep your spirits up. And if you are the Game Master, you are giving the gift of your time and imagination to your players every time you run a game, so bravo, let us give you more fuel for your imagination via the Christmas Surprise Packages.

I know this may sound corny or sappy to some of you, but I think we’ve established that I’m a goof-ball and sentimental. I’m feeling especially sentimental this Christmas season due to the TMNT redux work which has generated fond memories of my dear friend Erick Wujcik, the early days of Palladium, and reconnected me with old friends and creators like Kevin Eastman, Peter Laird, Freddie E. Williams, Ramon, Scott, Ryan, Richard, Mike, Mike, and Mike, and a bunch of talented pals from the past. Just as awesome has been meeting and making new friends, with a host of amazing people like Sophie Campbell, Jeremy Colwell, Nick Kay, and, well, way too many to list here.

Okay, enough sentimentality, let’s get down to some business and updates.

Temporarily Out of Stock – After the Bomb® RPG and Rifts® Coalition War Campaign! And we are running low on several other titles and may run out. We have an ample supply of most titles, but those that run out will be sent to the printer and back in stock sometime in January, 2024. Please Note: The After the Bomb® RPG “Hardcover” (with bonus material) is still available while supplies last. The many After the Bomb® sourcebooks are also available and in excellent supply.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness Kickstarter reminder

The Kickstarter is over but progress continues on all fronts. Wait til you see more color interior pages, the Black, White and Red interior pages, the finished miniature sculpts, and more.

* TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG Kickstarter Backers, thank you for supporting this project and congratulations! You are eligible to upgrade your pledge and/or add any number of additional add-ons including Kickstarter Exclusives to your want list. Remember, Kickstarter Exclusives are available only to you, which means you may want to plan ahead and add Exclusives as gifts to give to gaming friends for their birthday or an upcoming holiday. Likewise, you might want to get an extra one or two of those exclusives you think might go up in value as a collector’s item (like the Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird variant covers). Of course, any such speculation is entirely your risk, but Palladium’s limited editions have a long history of rising in value over time, as do TMNT titles.

* New Updates, Progress Reports, and images will appear in the Kickstarter Updates page in the weeks ahead and until product ships. Backers will receive notices when a new Update is posted.

* By early January we will open up the BackerKit Pledge Manager. That’s when you can begin to change your pledge level (if you want to) and indicate which of the add-ons you may want.

* Even if you did not back the Kickstarter, you will be able to preorder select books and products like the two full-color Redux Edition books, the two Black, White & Red Editions, the Game Master Screen, and the Mutagen Green Dice set.

* Kickstarter Exclusives, however, are available ONLY to our Kickstarter Backers and include the limited edition books with variant covers, the two epic miniature sets, the five Fan Roll dice sets, dice tray, dice tower, dice scroll mat, print sets, and playing cards. Note: That means if you want such items you will need to make arrangements with a friend who backed the TMNT & Other Strangeness Kickstarter and ask them if they would kindly add an item or three to their pledge items. Expect to pay them in advance of shipping, and do not be angry if they decline to do you this favor.

The Rifts^® Automated Character Sheet has enjoyed an Update

Three updates, in fact. This EXCEL template provides automation to your Rifts® character creation process. Done in Microsoft Excel, this character template will allow you to build your character with substantial ease and speed. Ideal for the new gamer who doesn’t know all of the Palladium Books® rules just yet, it’s also a highly effective tool for Game Masters and advanced players alike who make multiple characters, NPCs, or just like to min/max or theory craft characters between games.

Shipping in time for Christmas – 18 days to Christmas – but only 7-10 when you account for shipping

Whether you are buying a Surprise Package or a regular order, if you need it in time for Christmas, please order sooner than later. This week and next week are your best windows to get items in time for Christmas, guaranteed and without paying for express service.

Christmas SHIPPING Update: These recommendations come from the shipping companies themselves.

• United States Postal Service: Media Mail – December 10 and even then there is no guarantee. That said, you should receive packages shipped as late as December 14th via Media Mail. Last year, mail delivery was very good, but we cannot guarantee delivery in time for Christmas when you use Media Mail. YOU assume ALL risk when you ship via Media Mail and an order that goes missing or is damaged in transit will NOT be replaced by Palladium Books.
• United States Postal Service (in USA): Priority Mail – December 15.
• UPS Ground (anywhere in the contiguous USA) – December 15. Last year, UPS was astonishing in its speed and accuracy of shipping. Note: Most UPS Ground packages arrive anywhere in the contiguous USA within 5 business days, often a day or two sooner. Destinations east of the Mississippi River should arrive in 2 or 3 days!
• UPS 3-Day Select – December 19.
• UPS 2nd Day Air – December 20.
• UPS Next Day Air (to arrive December 23) – December 21, remember, we need time to process and pack your order!
• To our friends in Canada and overseas – December 6 with no guarantee that the package will arrive by Christmas. We suggest ordering no later than December 6, but SOONER is better. At this point in time, we cannot guarantee delivery in time for Christmas. Your package should arrive in time, but if there are delays at Customs, work strikes, bad weather, etc., it might miss. Order sooner rather than later. Note: Right now, we are finding overseas orders are taking 18-34 days to arrive, sometimes longer! Cost Saver: A Surprise Package mitigates overseas shipping costs – take advantage of this while you can. It is, in effect, the equivalent of getting the books you want at retail, plus autographs, and paying the equivalent of only $10-$30 for overseas shipping! MANY overseas customers take advantage of the Surprise Packages for this reason! And it is likely the ONLY way for you to get autographs. Give it a try, we don’t think you will be disappointed.
• Any orders placed after these dates may arrive in time for Christmas but we cannot guarantee it AND you should assume they will NOT arrive in time for Christmas. Please spread the word and place those orders as soon as you can. Ho, ho, ho and happy holidays.
• 2023 Shipping Note: As always, at Palladium, we will be working overtime and do everything we can to process orders as fast as possible to get them to you for the holidays. However, after the package leaves the Palladium warehouse, delivery is out of our hands. As we get closer to Christmas, UPS Ground and Priority Mail will be your most reliable and timely methods of shipping. Thank you for your understanding.

Palladium Christmas Surprise Package offer – only 18 Days to Christmas

Huge savings, surprises, and autographs (if you request them) that thrill the purchaser. No other game company offers anything like it. This is the 25th year we are offering this fan favorite Christmas bargain because we love doing it as much as you love getting them.

What is a Christmas Surprise Package?

A smile and a hug that comes in a box filled with signed game books from available Palladium staff and freelancers. It’s a way for you to get physical books (and autographs if you want them) at PDF prices! $100+ worth of Palladium products for only $60 (plus shipping)! That can nab you four or more items when these days one core rule book can cost you that alone.

These Christmas Surprise Packages are our way of saying thank you for your support and showing you our love and appreciation. It’s a surprise because you never know exactly what you’re going to get or who will sign your books, because we pick from your Wish List and may surprise you with stuff you are not expecting. Extra items may include other RPGs, sourcebooks, issues of the Rifter®, novels, miniatures, prints, art books, greeting cards, T-shirts, negatives, and other items. Some books may be slightly damaged (scuffs, scratches, dings, a bent or crunched corner, etc.) so we can send you more.

No other RPG company on the planet has an offer like this. Truly the best deal in gaming to get unique and special holiday gifts for the gamers in your life, or for yourself.

Christmas Surprise Packages are not just for Christmas. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or the Winter Solstice, or you are looking for that special gift for a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or any special occasion that falls between now and the end of the year, a Surprise Package may be the ideal way to go. You get a ton of stuff on the cheap, you can get a bunch of autographs (if you want ‘em), and you look like you spent a fortune.

This is also a great way to try that game setting you’ve wondered about – Splicers®, Dead Reign®, Chaos Earth®, Palladium Fantasy®, Nightbane®, Beyond the Supernatural, Rifts®, RECON, After the Bomb®, etc. – or to get something for your favorite Game Master. Or perhaps, to get your player group to consider a new game or setting.

Your “Wish List” is vital – the Palladium Surprise Packages are designed to simulate the joy and surprise of the Christmas Season of Giving. To do this, you submit a list of 10-15 Palladium products (or more) FOR EACH Surprise Package you order. This list of 10-15 items for EACH Grab Bag is critical, because you will not know which items we will select to send you. That makes it just like a Christmas gift because it’s a surprise. Plus, Santa Kevin, who personally hand-picks every item for every Grab Bag, may toss in something extra like a limited edition print, or a negative or similar collector’s item, or an issue of The Rifter®, or something else he thinks you’ll enjoy.

Autographed books. For those of you who want them (which are most people), available members of the Palladium staff, and any freelancers we can lasso at the time, are happy to autograph each and every book in your Surprise Package. This is the only way many fans across the country and overseas can ever get signed books.

Send us your brief comments. There is a special form and format to fill out for Christmas Surprise Packages, including a place where you can offer your brief comments, suggestions, greetings and salutations.

First-timers are always nervous until they see the great value in their first Surprise Package. A typical Grab Bag has $100+ worth of product. Yes, often more for only $60 plus shipping. Many people order 2-3. Some order 4-6, and some maniacs order even more! It makes sense, because it is a great way to fill holes in your own collection, treat yourself, get autographs, try new games and settings, rebuild your collection, replace worn out books, and get your gaming pals gifts. Only from PalladiumBooks.com – happy holidays. PLEASE spread the word about this great offer.

To those of you outside the USA, the X-Mas Surprise Package is a way to get books and circumvent the damn high cost of shipping from the United States, since you are getting $110 (often more) worth of product and only paying $60 plus shipping. Shipping via Priority Mail International (required for packages weighing more than four pounds) to most locations in Europe, Canada and many other countries is around $70-80 US dollars. HOWEVER, because the cost of the product is so low, that’s the equivalent of paying retail for the products and only $20-$40 for shipping. A very good deal. Plus you get autographs if you want them! X-Mas Surprise Packages are the way to go for those of you outside the USA. Please take advantage of it to get all those products you’ve wished you could get except the shipping was too prohibitive. We feel your pain. Game on!

Please spread the word. The Christmas Surprise Package is only publicized by word of mouth, on Palladium’s website, and social media, so please tell everyone you know. Buy one for every gamer you know. They make astonishing gifts for every occasion. Only from PalladiumBooks.com – happy holidays.

300+ RPG titles from Palladium Books

No other game company offers game worlds for so many different genres. Best of all, learn to play one Palladium RPG and you can play them all, because each uses the same basic core rules and combat. There are differences, but the fundamentals are the same. This also means you can bring characters, villains, monsters, powers, magic, weapons, gear, and adventure ideas from one setting into another or mash them together!

• Rifts® titles. Rifts® is the ultimate setting in which you can combine any number of genres and play any style of gaming you may desire: science fiction, fantasy, supernatural horror, heroic adventure, dimensional travel, modern knights, cyborgs, giant robots, dinosaur taming, sleuthing, magic, monsters, heroes and legends. Or combine them all. There has never been a game quite like Rifts®.
• Rifts® Chaos Earth® titles. Live through the Great Cataclysm and the Coming of the Rifts. Rifts® Chaos Earth® RPG, Creatures of Chaos™, Rise of Magic™, and Chaos Earth® Resurrection™ are all available.
• The Rifter® #1-85. Each issue is a wealth of source material for Rifts® and 3-5 other Palladium game settings. More than 8,600 pages of source material and counting. Most issues are only available in digital form.
• Palladium Fantasy RPG® titles. A rich, original setting in which you can play humans or any number of nonhuman species of people in a world of magic, heroes and wonder. All of it epic.
• Dead Reign® RPG and sourcebooks. The Zombie Apocalypse unleashed. A great introductory RPG that is surprisingly uplifting, fun, fast, and easy to learn.
• Heroes Unlimited™ RPG Second Edition titles. Create any type of superhuman you can imagine to build your own super-hero universe.
• After the Bomb® RPG and sourcebooks. Play anthropomorphic, intelligent, mutant animals as crime-fighting mutants and super-heroes or survivors of a crumbling post-apocalyptic Earth.
• Ninjas & Superspies™ RPG and the Mystic China™ sourcebook. 41 types of martial arts, ninjas, super-spies, gizmos, mystic powers, and magic in the main book, plus even more in Mystic China.
• Nightbane® RPG and sourcebooks – Urban Fantasy. Only you know the truth. Only you can see the Nightlords and their demonic minions, and you have the power to stop them. But you must transform into a monster yourself in order to use your powers. Trust no one.
• Beyond the Supernatural™ RPG and sourcebooks. Modern horror; 14 character classes, 42 occupations for “ordinary people,” 100+ psychic abilities, 16 monsters, and more.
• 300+ Palladium titles in all, plus G.M. kits, paper miniatures and more. Palladium Books has settings for every genre: Fantasy RPG, science fiction (Rifts®, Splicers®, and The Mechanoids®), super-heroes (Heroes Unlimited and After the Bomb), superhero horror (Nightbane®), modern horror (Beyond the Supernatural), zombies (Dead Reign®), The Rifter® sourcebook series, novels, paper minis, and more.

Closing Thoughts – Feeling Warm and Fuzzy Inside

As you might guess from the opening of this Update, we are all feeling warm and fuzzy with the holiday spirit. Or are we just delirious with exhaustion? I’d like to think it’s the former, but we are certainly insanely busy as work and communications continue on the TMNT and Other Strangeness project (looking fabulous!) and we are shipping out tons of orders and Christmas Surprise Packages (wonderful).

Please keep those orders coming and we are happy to sign the books that go into your Surprise Packages. A number of you have expressed your concern over our having to sign so many books, but we love doing that for you, so don’t worry. [It’s true, all of it. – Sean]

As always, we will make our best effort to ship all orders out as quickly as we can, knowing that many of these are holiday presents.

I think the previous part of the Weekly Update covered most everything we needed to say, so I’m going to stop here and let you enjoy the many comments from fans like you, below.

– Kevin Siembieda, Game Designer, Friend and Surrogate Santa

Surprise Package comments from fans like you

Every year there is a section where our Surprise Package customers can offer comments and suggestions with their order. We do that because we want to know what you think, what you want, and we appreciate your suggestions and insights. In fact, the idea to do hardcover editions of core books came from fan comments in the Grab Bags.

Every year, in acknowledgment of our fans, and because they are fun to read, we offer a sampling of these comments in the Weekly Updates. Our heartfelt thanks to all of you who have stuck with Palladium through thick and thin and now these new strange times. Please use our games to find escape from your day-to-day grind and worries. Use them to bring a little joy, laughter, and adventure to the holiday season.

I want you to know that your comments and support mean the world to all of us. Everyone at Palladium enjoys reading your brief comments, especially me and Sean, and they always brighten our day. Thank you for making us smile and feel valued. As always, I have tried to write a short response [in brackets] to each comment. Happy holidays.

D.B. in Colorado Springs, Colorado, writes: This is my first Grab Bag, but I have been a Rifts® fan since the first book released! Thanks for all the excellent work over the years.

[Hey D.B., glad you’ve enjoyed our Rifts® and After the Bomb® settings all these years. We hope you enjoy your first Surprise Package. – Kevin]

C.C. in Lucasville, Ohio, writes (in part): I’m back for more. I bought a Grab Bag earlier in the season when my kids were interested in playing a fantasy RPG. I got a couple things to begin a [Palladium] fantasy game. I put together a little scenario for them while everyone was here for Thanksgiving break. It went well enough (my first GM experience) that they want to keep going into a bigger campaign, so I’m going to put together something bigger for Christmas break. I’m hoping to get deeper into the Palladium Fantasy World and get some adventure ideas. They’re also big fans of the superhero genre. When I told them about Heroes Unlimited they said, “That’d be sick!”

[Sounds like you have your hands full, C.C., with a budding, new generation of gamers. Awesome! I hope the Surprise Package provides the adventure ideas you are looking for. Good luck as Game Master. It sounds like you are doing fine. – Kevin]

J.F. in Kingsport, Tennessee, writes: Rifts, Rifts, and some more RIFTS!!! Have a very, merry Christmas and happy New Year!

[Hmm, J.F., I sense you are a Rifts® fan. Continue to enjoy your travels across the Megaverse® and keep that imagination burning bright. – Kevin] {Hey Kev, I think he likes Rifts® almost as much as I do. – Sean}

J.H. in Las Vegas, Nevada, writes: I love the Christmas Surprise Package. Thanks for everything Palladium has done through the years. May there be many more!

[Thank you for the kind sentiment, J.H. We are happy to have created quality RPG worlds for decades. Fear not, Sean and I intend to keep Palladium going for generations to come. Ho, ho, ho. – Kevin]

M.B. in Stafford, Washington, writes: I really enjoy the deep Fantasy world and look forward to more world content.

[Thank you M.B., the Palladium Fantasy RPG is one of my favorite world settings, too. – Kevin]

M.H. in Redondo Beach, California, writes (in part): I’ve been game-mastering Palladium Fantasy since its release, then 2nd edition after its release, with the same crew of buddies the entire time! … you guys are amazing. Looking forward to the future.

[That is impressive, M.H. We are delighted you and your crew of players have enjoyed our Fantasy setting for all these years. I think you’ll enjoy the Surprise Package and the Fantasy titles on the drawing board. Game on! – Kevin]

P.F. in Clarksville, Tennessee, writes: Favorites are Rifts® and Palladium Fantasy. I have been a fan since I was a young boy, now 37 years old. Thanks for the memories.

[Thank you for sticking with us, P.F., and continue to make lasting memories with our games. – Kevin]

C.B., in Marysville, Pennsylvania, writes: I like all the games, but if forced onto a desert island, I would choose Rifts®. With the recent TMNT Kickstarter, seeing Kevin and Sean in interviews, and actually getting a chance to meet Sean on a stream, I am really excited for the future of Palladium Books.

[Thank you for the compliments, C.B. Let me see, if I were forced onto a desert island, I think I’d take Palladium Fantasy. Hmm, but if it’s a “desert” island with nobody to game with, I might take Rifts® too because there are so many books to reread (90+ and counting). I hope I have a few cases of paper and some writing implements too, because I would spend time writing new ideas in between trying to survive on that dang, deserted island. lol. Sean is a great guy, right? We are all excited for Palladium’s future and glad you and many others are too, because you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Even bigger things are coming. – Kevin]

A.M. in Crossville, Tennessee, writes: I have never played any (Palladium RPGs), but I am sure the TMNT RPG will become my favorite. After the Bomb® and Palladium Fantasy RPG® sound the most interesting to me. I just discovered Palladium’s games via the TMNT RPG Kickstarter. I have been researching your products since then and am excited to try out more of your RPGs!

[Welcome to the Palladium Megaverse, A.M., we’re glad to have you with us! It is a realm of infinite worlds and possibilities fueled by imagination and fun. Enjoy. – Kevin]

T.L. in Newville, Pennsylvania, writes (in part): Favorites: TMNT/After the Bomb®, but the whole universe is great … I will certainly buy any and all TMNT. You guys are doing fantastic! I’m looking forward to the new books currently in development. And of course, the Kickstarter had me jumping for joy when announced.

[Hi T.L., we appreciate your heartfelt endorsement of the Palladium Megaverse. We’re excited about the return of TMNT as well and appreciate everyone’s support. – Kevin]

B.S. in San Antonio, Texas, writes (in part): I only have very few Rifts® books so far … I last played in the mid-90s and am having to rebuild my library so I have more material to work with. RECON – I remember this game. The only other Palladium game I played. It was sooo good.

[Welcome back to the Palladium Megaverse, B.S.! I hope you enjoy the first and second Surprise Package and go on many epic adventures. – Kevin] {Howdy, fellow Texan. Glad to have you aboard. – Sean}

C.J. in Ojai, California, writes: Shout out to Legion of Myth for getting me back into Palladium and thank you guys for all your hard work!

[Welcome back C.J., hope you enjoyed the Surprise Package. – Kevin]

One game system – every genre – countless worlds – endless adventure

By Kevin Siembieda and Sean Owen Roberson

Hello, everyone. Have you survived the Thanksgiving Trifecta – Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, and Cyber-Monday – with your bank account intact? We hope so. We didn’t mean to add to the busy holiday weekend with the TMNT and Other Strangeness RPG Kickstarter coming to an end shortly thereafter, but that’s how things turned out.

The TMNT and Other Strangeness RPG Kickstarter closed at 8,383 backers and over a million dollars in pledges – truly exciting. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who backed the Kickstarter and placed any kind of order with Palladium. We also thank the multitude of people who helped to spread the word, interview us, and sent us congratulations and warm wishes. Thank you, thank you, thank you. All of you have helped to make the Kickstarter a success that will provide Backers with awesome products and help Palladium to grow.

As stated, Sean will continue to post updates and images of Kickstarter book covers, artwork, interior pages, miniatures, print sets, etc., on the Kickstarter Update page (and here) in the weeks ahead.

I’m keeping this Weekly Update short. Take advantage of the sale extended thru Friday afternoon, snag a Surprise Package or two for yourself and the other gamers in your life, and take it easy this weekend if you can. Nah, most of you will probably be making Christmas present purchases for your loved ones; very cool.

Again, thank you for the love and support you have shown Palladium by backing the Kickstarter, buying product, and ordering Christmas Surprise Packages, etc., but also for your encouraging words and passion for what Palladium is doing. Sean and I have been getting texts, emails, and kind words in the Surprise Package’s comment sections, and seeing supportive posts everywhere for weeks. We appreciate it all very much. You inspire us to do more and strive to give you our best, while keeping us humble and grounded. We are the luckiest people in the world to have wonderful fans like you. Speaking of fans, see the Comments from Fans Like You section, after Closing Thoughts by Sean, for just a sampling of what fans around the world have said in Surprise Packages.

Christmas SHIPPING Update:

4 weeks till Christmas, but less time in order to ship and receive it in time for Christmas – ONLY about 10 days left to order and get delivery by Christmas via Media Mail.

Those of you buying books and Christmas Surprise Packages as holiday gifts NEED to place your orders no later than the dates below to guarantee delivery in time for Christmas (by December 24) without incurring additional costs for expedited shipping. These recommendations come from the shipping companies themselves.

• United States Postal Service: Media Mail – December 10 and even then there is no guarantee. That said, you should receive packages shipped via Media Mail as late as December 14. Last year mail delivery was very good, but the US Mail seems a bit less reliable this year and we cannot guarantee delivery in time for Christmas when you use Media Mail. YOU assume ALL risk when you ship via Media Mail.
• United States Postal Service (in USA): Priority Mail – December 15.
• UPS Ground (anywhere in the contiguous USA) – December 15. Last year, UPS was astonishing in its speed and accuracy of shipping. Most UPS Ground packages arrive anywhere in the contiguous USA within 5 business days, often a day or two sooner.

Closing Thoughts – Turtle Power! – By Sean Owen Roberson

Howdy folks, this is Sean here. I just wanted to let you know that we’re grateful for your overwhelming support of our TMNT & Other Strangeness Kickstarter that ended Tuesday night.

The results? The project closed with 8383 backers who pledged $1,277,496 – wow, that is pretty fantastic. As a token of our appreciation for everyone who backed the project, we unlocked all the remaining Stretch Goals! As we move into the BackerKit pledge manager phase we will continue to update you with images of miniatures, dice, cards, and more so that you can make an informed decision on what add-ons or upgrades you want before we finalize your orders and send everything off to the printers.

For those of you who missed our countdown livestream that night, we had a blast chatting with many of the artists involved with the new color art, various art tributes, and miniature sculpts and talked about some cool behind the scenes stuff. Sophie Campbell, Michael Majestic, Steven Cummings, and Nicholas Kay were all in attendance – check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3nhfdgNuAQ

This last month and a half has been a whirlwind experience, and I’ve just been shocked by your excitement as well as the enthusiasm from the many artists who have gone out of their way to contribute. I think my favorite experience has been to meet and interact with Kevin Eastman, co-creator of the TMNT. He has been great to work with, and it was very fulfilling to see him and Kevin Siembieda reconnect – they are obviously old friends and get along famously. Sophie Campbell, who currently works on the TMNT comic for IDW, has also been great to meet and collaborate with. Adding all of that on top of great Palladium artists like Freddie E Williams II and Michael Majestic, this is shaping up to be a legendary project for everyone involved.

As someone who personally found this hobby and Palladium Books through the 1985 TMNT RPG, I’m ecstatic with the success of this project and humbled by your support as we bring this classic back in redux style – remastered in full color with all the bells and whistles like custom dice, playing cards, a new GM screen, and miniatures.

Thank you from me and the rest of the Palladium Books team, with your support we have been able to resurrect one of the most beloved and pivotal role-playing games of the 1980s.

Cheers!

– Sean Owen Roberson, Palladium Books

Surprise Package comments from fans like you

Every year there is a section where our Surprise Package customers can offer comments and suggestions with their order. We do that because we want to know what you think, and what you want, and we appreciate your suggestions and insights.

Thank you for making us smile and feel useful. As always, I have tried to write a short response [in brackets] to each comment. Happy holidays.

S.B. in Lynnwood, Washington, writes: Fantasy and horror is my jam, but the TMNT is my absolute favorite. Thanks for bringing it back!

[We are thrilled to beyond measure to be bringing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness RPG back and in deluxe color. The Kickstarter may be over, but the core two books and Black, White and Red editions will be available to the general public. Game screen too. – Kevin]

J.S. in Millbrook, Alabama, writes: Thank you for all you do! Stay healthy and much, much success with the TMNT Redux Kickstarter.

[From your mouth to God’s ears, J.S. The TMNT Redux is just the beginning. Sean and I have so many great things in store for our growing fan base. Inspiration runs rampant here at the Palladium offices, so this is just the beginning. – Kevin]

B.W. in Chandler, Arizona, writes (in part): First, thank you for the copy of Road Hogs in my first Surprise Package box. It was a lot of fun to see that, especially right as the TMNT Kickstarter launched. Second, Thank you for your appearance on Gaming with ADHD. It was a blast to talk to you guys … Finally, while this won’t be my last Surprise Package I order, I hope you guys have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. Palladium has brought a lot of joy to me over the years, and I’m glad you’re still here contributing to it.

[Me too, B.W., me too! I love what I do. So does Sean. Happy to appear on Gaming with ADHD again. Heck, we’re happy to appear on most YouTube shows and podcasts, time permitting. All the show-runners have to do is ask. Hint, hint. Merry Christmas to you as well, B.W., and everyone! – Kevin]

J.M. in Glenns Ferry, Idaho, writes (in part): I’m so excited about the TMNT announcement. I’ll never forget the day in 1989 when I was invited to play TMNT for the first time. It was my first experience with role-playing. It came at a difficult time in my life and quickly role-playing became my favorite thing. When things go hard at home or school, it was great to step into Robotech or Rifts or Heroes Unlimited. To become a larger than life character who did amazing things and was in complete control of their destiny.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness was the first role-playing game I played, and Robotech was the first game I owned, but they were quickly followed by RECON, Heroes Unlimited, Palladium Fantasy, and my favorite, Rifts.

Palladium Books has always been my favorite gaming company because it has the best writing, the most imaginative settings, and the greatest emphasis on being a “hero,” something I think a lot of companies have forgotten. So never doubt Kevin, Sean, and everyone else that your work makes a difference. I’m very excited to see what the future holds.

[J.M., I’m glad our games were there to help you through rough times. They and our fans have been there for me when I needed them too. Funny how karma works. Thank you for your kind words. The future is currently looking very exciting and full of wonder and heroes to keep your imagination burning. Game on. – Kevin]

D.R. in Tifton, Georgia, writes: I enjoy them all. The best games I’ve run were Rifts® and Heroes Unlimited. I think your products are an inspirational wellspring of creativity. Keep up the good work!

[Hi praise, thank you, D.R. Just as I have been inspired by other creators, I’m delighted and humbled to have inspired so many with my work. Keep your imagination burning bright. – Kevin]

J.H. in Mankato, MN, writes: Thank you for the years and years of excellence!

[Our pleasure, J.H. We love what we do and the people we do it for. – Kevin]

A.N. in Muncie, Indiana, writes: I picked up Rifts® and Splicers® at Gen Con 2023 and now decided to collect all the materials. Thank you so much for creating these awesome worlds. Happy holiday season.

[Glad to hear you are delving into the Megaverse and loving it. Happy holidays to you and yours. – Kevin]

J.R. in Portage, Michigan, writes: New player. Just got Rifts® Ultimate Edition … I live in Michigan so Northern Gun is rad.

[Welcome to the Palladium Megaverse, J.R. I think you’ll find plenty of fun and exciting aspects of this expansive and alien, yet familiar, world. Game on. – Kevin]

B.C. in Spring, Texas, writes (in part): Thank you for making such creative and engaging games. I love that the common experience system driving all Palladium games emphasizes and incentivizes roleplaying, thinking, collaboration, and problem solving over combat and “taking stuff” … That facet of the Palladium system is not often given the praise it deserves. I also am excited about the direction the company is heading as a result of the Siembieda and Roberson collaboration. I’m eager to see what’s coming next … Thanks again!

[Thank you, B.C., for the high praise and recognition of our experience system. You are going to love the direction Sean and I are taking the company. The TMNT redux and its full color presentation is just the tip of the iceberg. Thanks for the support and keep watching. The best is yet to come. – Kevin]

E.C. in Wausau, Wisconsin, writes: Thank you, Kevin and Crew, for games, cherished memories, and — holy crap — 25 years(!) of the Christmas Surprise Package/holiday Grab Bag. I’ve participated nearly every year and find it a genuine thrill; such a fun annual experience. I hope to see Mechanoid Space someday. Perhaps it could be a poetic way to introduce a Palladium “third” edition refined rules set, or could make for a pretty great Rifts® Dimension Book.

[Yep, E.C., 25 years of doing Christmas Surprise Packages! And yes, I think you’ve participated in at least 20 of those years. Awesome, right? Who knows what might be coming in future? Um, actually, Sean and I know, but we’re not telling. At least not yet. Bwahahaha … er … I mean ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and yours. Game on, my friend, game on and enjoy new adventures. – Kevin]

One game system – every genre – countless worlds – endless adventure

By Kevin Siembieda

Good News! Palladium Books’ Cyber-Tuesday sale continues through Wednesday, but ends after midnight November 29.

Good News! Fan fave Palladium Christmas Surprise Package offer continues to Christmas Eve. And it’s not just for Christmas but birthdays, anniversaries and any gift-giving occasion (including a treat for yourself).

WARNING – FINAL HOURS of the TMNT & Other Strangeness Kickstarter – Ends Tonight. If you have any interest at all, pledge $1 (or any low pledge level) to become an “official backer” of this Kickstarter. Doing so enables you to upgrade your pledge level and get add-ons AFTER the Kickstarter ends during the Backerkit Pledge Management period that follows in December and January. This way you can wait for more updates and images before you make your final decisions. As I write this there are only 13 hours left. Do not delay.

Today is your LAST CHANCE – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness Kickstarter ENDS Tonight

$1 gets you in the door and able to upgrade your pledge level and get add-ons during the Pledge Management period AFTER the Kickstarter Ends

– Are you waiting to see all the finished covers?

– Are you wanting to see all the final miniature sculpts?

– Are you waiting to see more interior color pages or Tribute Pages?

– Are you just too busy to decide on a pledge level and add-ons now?

We understand. Here is the easy solution! Pledge $1 now, before the Kickstarter ends, November 28, and decide later. This is the only way you can get the miniatures, dice sets, and other Kickstarter Exclusives.

That one dollar pledge makes you an “Official Backer” eligible to upgrade your pledge level and get Kickstarter Exclusives, over the next two months during the Pledge Management period via Backerkit. Meanwhile, Palladium will continue post updates, info, art, and miniature images in Kickstarter Updates AFTER the Kickstarter ends. But you must pledge that $1 (or any level) now to be eligible to upgrade your pledge and get Kickstarter Exclusive add-ons later. Please pledge that one dollar now, so you don’t regret it later.

We do not want anyone to feel as if they are being rushed or forced to make a choice without all the information and images they may need. That one dollar pledge buys you peace of mind and time to evaluate all info and images yet to come over the weeks ahead to make an informed decision.

Experience the original TMNT role-playing game and five sourcebooks in magnificent color for the very first time. Much of the artwork was created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird specifically for the game and includes 30+ pages of comics, everything colored by top color artists Michael Majestic and Luis Antonio Delgado (The Last Ronin) and Jeremy Colwell (TMNT vs Batman comics). All of it remastered, reedited, gently updated, and filled with page after page of brand new art created by legendary comic book and gaming artists just for these two new, hardcover, collections. Plus alternative foil covers by Eastman and Laird, alternative color covers by Kevin Eastman and Sophie Campbell, and one-of-a-kind Kickstarter Exclusives you will love (miniatures, dice sets, poker deck, and so much more). See details below.

Thank you for your understanding and desire to support the historic and fun TMNT & Other Strangeness Kickstarter.

Palladium Books^® – Sales, News & Updates – November 27, 2023

One game system – every genre – countless worlds – endless adventure

By Kevin Siembieda

2 Cyber-Monday Sales and One TMNT Kickstarter ENDING soon and other limited time offers

All the sales information and links are below, but we want to emphasize that you can be part of Palladium’s historic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness Kickstarter for as little as $1 and decide on the pledge level and add-ons in December or January in the Backerkit Pledge Manager phase.

Final Hours of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness Kickstarter – join for $1 now or miss out

TMNT & Other Strangeness KICKSTARTER – ENDS Tuesday, November 28 – spread the word

SALE #3 – Christmas Surprise Package offer now through December 24

The best deal in gaming – $100+ worth of goodies (often more) for $60 (plus shipping). Books are signed if you want them to be. It is just 4 weeks till Christmas and Kwanzaa, and 2 weeks till Hanukkah (starts December 7)! Less time when you account for the time to process and ship orders, so this weekend and next are the perfect time to place your holiday orders. The Surprise Package Offer ends December 24, 2023.

A great gift for any holiday, birthdays, anniversaries, or a nice treat for yourself (you deserve it), or a way to try new settings, and fill your collection. After these past four crazy years, you deserve to do something nice for yourself and your gaming pals. The Surprise Package Offer gets you physical game books at PDF prices, and we will sign them if you would like us to.

What is a Christmas Surprise Package? A smile and a hug that comes in a box filled with signed game books from available Palladium staff and freelancers. And God knows this year continues to be so crazy, we need something fun like the Christmas Surprise Package to bring a little joy and laughter into our lives. With so many people suffering from the fallout of the pandemic and related doldrums, frustration, and in some cases, money issues, they need to escape to realms of role-playing adventures. Not to mention the huge savings and autographs available via a Palladium Christmas Surprise Package.

A Surprise Package is your way to get physical books (and autographs if you want them) for PDF prices! $100+ worth of Palladium products for only $60 (plus shipping)! That can nab you four or more items when these days one core rule book can cost you that alone.

These Surprise Packages are our way of saying thank you for your support and showing you our love and appreciation. Some books may be slightly damaged (scuffs, scratches, dings, a crunched corner, etc.) so we can send you more.

You get a ton of stuff on the cheap, you can get a bunch of autographs (if you want ‘em), and you look like you spent a fortune. This is also a great way to try that game setting you’ve wondered about – Splicers®, Dead Reign®, Chaos Earth®, Palladium Fantasy®, Nightbane®, Systems Failure, Mechanoid Invasion®, Rifts®, After the Bomb®, etc. – or to get something for your favorite Game Master. Or perhaps, to get your player group to consider a new game or setting.

By Kevin Siembieda

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

I hope you are healthy, happy, and able to spend some relaxing time this Thanksgiving Day weekend surrounded by family and friends. Or maybe you’ll curl up on the couch and watch your favorite sporting events and/or holiday season movies. Of course, a bunch of us will be doing shopping online and at stores to get Black Friday and Cyber-Monday deals. Please don’t forget about Palladium Books and our four sales starting today (see details below) and running the whole weekend and into Cyber-Tuesday!

We have so much for which to be thankful. Sure, these are uncertain times, but if you are rich in friends, family, and good health, you are doing great. I’m honored and proud to have a great business partner in Sean who has become a dear friend and co-creator, plus I have an army of amazing friends, old and new. That includes you, our fans and extended family. We are thankful for your support, friendship, and kind words on many fronts. This is evident by our successful TMNT and Other Strangeness Kickstarter and the outpouring of support and positivity from so many of you. Thank you all so very much. If you love the Ninja Turtles or the original TMNT and Other Strangeness RPG, you must check out the Kickstarter before it ends on Tuesday, November 28.

I like to keep the Thanksgiving Day (and Christmas) Updates shorter than usual, but that was impossible with all our sales this weekend and the TMNT and Other Strangeness Kickstarter going on. We so want fans of the original TMNT RPG to find and enjoy these beautiful books and rockin’ Kickstarter Exclusives, as well as a whole new generation of comic book fans and gamers. This is a passion project created by TMNT fans for TMNT fans! The books and Kickstarter exclusives are for gamers and comic book fans alike. And we have the full support of, and new cover art by, Eastman and Laird! So please take a look at (and pledge even a buck on) the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness Kickstarter. Thank you for being the greatest fans any creator could ever hope for. You make our days brighter, fuller, and filled with love. We try to do the same for you, so enjoy the sales listed below, try not to overeat, and have fun reading new Surprise Package Comments From Fans Like You at the end of this email.

SALE #2 (sort of) – the historic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness KICKSTARTER – ENDS Tuesday, November 28

The Kickstarter Exclusives are amazing and limited! Variant covers, miniatures, 5 FanRoll dice sets, dice tray, dice tower, and so much more are available ONLY via the Kickstarter and will NOT be sold in stores or online.

Be strategic: Pledge enough just to get in on the Kickstarter now! Later, during the Backerkit pledge management phase, you can decide whether you want to increase your pledge and/or get add-ons AFTER the holiday madness has passed. That way you get in on the Kickstarter now but can figure out exactly what you want when things quiet down. And if you want to be kind, you can add items for friends who foolishly missed this historic Kickstarter. You can get in with as little as a $1 pledge or a basic pledge level of $50 and upgrade and/or add-on during the Backerkit pledge manager period after the Kickstarter ends. Spread the word!

What makes this Kickstarter historic?

A deluxe redux of the original, beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness RPG and sourcebooks by the company and people who published it in the first place.

Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird wholeheartedly support this passion project.

Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird are working together to create new variant, collector covers!

30+ pages of new tribute art by comic book and gaming legends created special for these books.

First time you can get a TMNT & Other Strangeness poker deck with the TMNT and RPG characters as the face cards. Yet to be revealed in the Kickstarter.

Collectible dice sets that come with a full color dice bag, by FanRoll.

We are on track to become the biggest TMNT based Kickstarter ever!

Be part of history and get yourself what are all going to become instant collector items you will cherish for a lifetime.

All lovingly created by TMNT fans for TMNT fans. Thank you for your participation and please spread the word.

See what other fans are saying in the comment section, below. Enjoy and happy holidays.

Your “Wish List” is vital – the Palladium Surprise Packages are designed to simulate the joy and surprise of the Christmas Season of Giving. To do this, you submit a list of 12-15 Palladium products (or more) FOR EACH Surprise Package you order. This list of 12-15 items for EACH Grab Bag is critical, because you will not know which items we will select to send you. That makes it just like a Christmas gift because it really is a surprise. Surrogate Santa, Kevin, personally hand-picks every item for every Grab Bag, and may toss in something extra like a limited edition print, or a negative, or similar collector’s item, or an issue of The Rifter®, or something else he thinks you’ll enjoy.

Send us your brief comments. There is a special form and format to fill out for Christmas Surprise Packages. It includes a place where you can offer your brief comments, suggestions, greetings and salutations.

First-timers are always nervous until they see the great value in their first Surprise Package. A typical Grab Bag has $100+ worth of product, sometimes more! Yes, sometimes more, for only $60 plus shipping. Many people order 2-3. Some order 4-6, and some maniacs order even more! It makes sense, because it is a great way to fill holes in your own collection, treat yourself, get autographs, try new games and settings, rebuild your collection, replace worn out books, and get your gaming pals gifts you know they will love. PLEASE spread the word about this great offer.

To those of you outside the USA, the X-Mas Surprise Package is a way to get books and circumvent the damn high cost of shipping from the United States, since you are getting $100+ (often more) worth of product and only paying $60 plus shipping. Shipping via Priority Mail International (required for packages weighing 4 or more pounds) to most locations in Europe, Canada, Australia, and many other countries is around $65-$80 US dollars. HOWEVER, because the cost of the product is so low, that’s the equivalent of paying retail for the products and only $30-$40 for shipping.

Christmas SHIPPING Update:

5 weeks till Christmas, but less time in order to ship and receive it in time for Christmas – ONLY about 15 days left to order and get delivery by Christmas via Media Mail.

Those of you buying books and Christmas Surprise Packages as holiday gifts NEED to place your orders no later than the dates below to guarantee delivery in time for Christmas (by December 24) without incurring additional costs for expedited shipping. These recommendations come from the shipping companies themselves.

• United States Postal Service: Media Mail – December 8 and even then there is no guarantee.

SALE #4 – Kevin’s Toys, Art and Collectibles SALE – now through December 11, 2023

Negatives at half price, plus toys (Star Wars, Marvel and DC superheroes, etc.), Palladium collectibles, and a variety of proofreader copies, hardcover Printer Proofs, and more, all on sale now through December 11. And we are adding new collectibles, negatives, and items through the weekend. Check it out at: http://stores.ebay.com/kevinstoys-artandcollectibles

My girls, seeing all the great games, want to try Fantasy role-playing, so it’s time for some PFRPG! My oldest is into mythology and magic, my youngest is into wolf-people and pirates. I’m looking forward to starting them on their adventures!

D.J. in Layton, Utah, writes: This is my second 2023 Christmas Surprise Package. The last bundle completed my After the Bomb® collection. I can’t wait for TMNT!

[Hi, D.J., we can’t wait for TMNT and Other Strangeness either! The excitement of the Kickstarter has been wild. As I write this, we are closing in on one million dollars in pledges and we are about to reveal more stretch goals and the Kevin Eastman concept rendering for his variant cover. Incredible. – Kevin]

J.V. in London, Ontario, Canada, writes: While I like Rifts®, my heart will always be with Palladium Fantasy. Thank you so much for again doing the Surprise Package offer.

[We are happy to do the Surprise Packages for our 25th year. Love ‘em, and Palladium Fantasy will always have a special place in my heart too, J.V. After all, it is the game that started everything, and why I named the company after my Palladium of Desires campaign, during which I developed the world and the game system. – Kevin]

W.M.C. in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, writes (in part): Happy holidays! This is my third or fourth year in a row ordering at least one Christmas Surprise Package. I love them, even though shipping fees to Canada suck … I pledged to the TMNT & Other Strangeness Kickstarter and can’t wail for those sweet, sweet books to make their way into my excited hands. I’ve been watching all your interviews online, and especially love the ones you and Sean have done on the Legion of Myth YouTube channel. They have some of the best, if not the best coverage, of Palladium Books’ games I have seen on the Internet… I love and appreciate all you guys do for the fans, and can’t wait to see what you have in store for us all in the future. Thank you.

[W.M.C., You are going to love all the TMNT & Other Strangeness products. We are doing everything in our power to make them, as you said, “sweet.” Sean and I appreciate our fans because a) we are one of you, and b) you guys and gals are the greatest. As for the future, TMNT is just the beginning, my friends, just the beginning. – Kevin]

A.K. in Yonkers, New York, writes: I am a player and fan of the Palladium Fantasy RPG since 1985. I have been buying and collecting all of the books for over 35 years. I love that the game is going strong, even if I don’t get to play all that often. The Christmas Surprise Package box is an awesome gift to myself. Thank you.

[Wow, that’s cool, A.K. I love that you have enjoyed our games for so many years. Enjoy this year’s Surprise Package and keep on gaming. We appreciate your decades of support. – Kevin]

B.P. in Brownstown Township, Michigan, writes: Favorites: I have them all and most of the books. The list is a handful of the titles I’ve not yet gotten. I’m looking forward to the TMNT re-release. I’ve already backed it and told a few friends.

[You have an impressive collection of Palladium’s games, B.P. Thanks for your support. You will be glad you backed the TMNT Kickstarter, the books and Exclusives are gorgeous and amazing. Thanks for telling friends about it. Please continue to do so as we wind down to the end of it. – Kevin]

J.D. in Greendale, Wisconsin, writes: I have been playing Rifts® with the same group of friends since about 1993! I can’t tell you how much you guys have inspired my art and my creativity. We don’t get to play nearly as often as we used to as we all now have families, jobs, etc., but we still manage to make it work. I’m going to be using this purchase to update our gaming library since we still use all the books we purchased way back when. Thanks so much for making such an awesome game.

[Holy Moley, J.D., playing Rifts with the same friends for 30 years is a rare feat and wonderful. We are humbled and thrilled you all love the game so much. Keep those imaginations burning and game on! – Kevin]

M.S. in Aurora, Colorado, writes (in part): So far I’ve only played Heroes Unlimited, so that’s my favorite. I got into Palladium from Savage Rifts®. While I really like Savage Worlds, I so far, absolutely adore the Megaversal System. It’s like a sweet blend of old D&D, Chaosium’s BRP, Mythras, and WFRP. I’ve only run a short Heroes Unlimited game, so far, but I really am loving the system … The art is fantastic. Full of 80s and 90s art that I so dearly miss. Kevin, you’re one hell of an artist … Just a great, old-school, crunchy system … thanks again, you rock!

[Glad you are enjoying HU2 so much, M.S. I think you’ll enjoy the other settings just as much. For more superhero fun, check out Ninjas & Superspies, After the Bomb, and, before it ends, you must take a look at the TMNT & Other Strangeness RPG Kickstarter. This RPG and sourcebooks sounds right up of your alley. – Kevin]

M.N. in Mapleton, Utah, writes (in part): Thank you for running the Surprise Package every year! I hope to be able to meet the crew again at a future Palladium Open House. Also, huge congrats on the TMNT & Other Strangeness Kickstarter! The announcement literally brought a tear to my eye knowing it was coming back and how huge this is for Palladium.

[Thank you, M.N., it is huge for us and for all TMNT fans. The RPG introduced a lot of people to the TMNT comics, and the game captured the hearts of comic book readers as well as gamers. So we are thrilled not only to bring it back, but to bring the RPG and sourcebooks back in deluxe color and filled with new, special art and bonus material. See you at an upcoming Open House, not that we have any on the schedule, we’re so busy. Happy holidays to you and yours! – Kevin]

One game system – every genre – countless worlds – endless adventure

By Kevin Siembieda and Sean Owen Roberson

Kickstarter Countdown – Final 8 Days – spread the word and make your pledge

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness Kickstarter is rushing toward an epic end in 8 days. Make sure you are a part of it, because the books, the variant covers and other Kickstarter Exclusives are truly amazing and created with love.

TMNT Passion Project. As I stated in the Weekly Update, the super-deluxe, full color redux editions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness RPG and Sourcebooks – heck, the entire Kickstarter – is a passion project for us and for every person involved. That includes me (Kevin Siembieda), Sean Owen Roberson, Kevin Eastman, Peter Laird and every single artist, writer, and over 30 contributors in all! Kevin and Peter are dear, old friends. So are Jim Lawson, Freddie E. Williams II, Ramon K. Perez, and many other contributors. Each is a fan of the Ninja Turtles and/or the RPG. The shared goal of each and every one of us is to create books, miniatures, and Kickstarter Exclusives that are truly special and celebrate the beloved TMNT and Other Strangeness RPG, the Ninja Turtles, and you, the dedicated TMNT fans around the world.

To accomplish that lofty goal, we have created two beautiful, remastered, full color hardcovers that collect the RPG and 5 TMNT specific sourcebooks. (After the Bomb® titles are a separate and distinct game line.) The two books (each with variant cover editions) are more than a fully-functioning role-playing game and adventure sourcebook collection – each is filled with dozens of brand new, full color, full page, tribute art by top industry artists and TMNT creators. Many beautiful enough to be comic book covers! There is also bonus material such as behind the scenes information, never before and seldom seen art, bonus characters, tweaks and additions – all designed to delight gamers, comic book fans, and all fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Buy in now for $1. We implore you to get your pledge in sooner than later, especially with Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber-Monday all on the horizon. Even if it’s only a one dollar pledge or a pledge for one of the $50 hardcovers, it enables you to upgrade your pledge level and select add-ons in the Backerkit pledge manager after the holidays when things are less hectic and you might have more spending money.

Please read my Closing Thoughts for a bit more personal insight and additional details. The words and sentiments are sincere and true.

And if you have never gotten a Palladium Christmas Surprise Package, give it a try because you will be blown away by it. Our holiday gift from us to you.

NOW SHIPPING! Christmas Surprise Package offer

The interior art has the same level of color, power and dynamism as the covers. TMNT fans of every stripe are gonna love these books, the art prints, miniatures, and other Kickstarter items.
