Many years ago, when Atlantis was new, I decided to play a Zembach. Zembach are 3-5' long worms who are like super powerfull mystics. they aslo have no mouth and communicate telepathically. We were all in a mountaineer when the party decided to investigate wrechage for salvage in the american forests south of the coalition states. I was left to watch out for whatever destroyed the vehilces in the first place. Turns out a group of thornhead demons came back while the group was salvaging. I using telekinesis to toggle the raido telepathicly screamed LOOK OUT! Deamons. Which of course noone heard over the raido. The Party was ambushed and nearly wiped out following our groups fits of laughter.

Petrified wood just because we could.

As a GM; in a dungeon at a dead end corridor, which was slightly slanted down, I placed a big X on the floor and a lever on the wall. Under the lever was a sign that read, "Do not stand here and pull lever"
They, of course did it and 4 tons of stone slid down the hall and turned the characters into pasty goo. They took 0 precautions before they pulled the lever.

As a player; the party was escaping captivity. We were running down a tunnel for 1/2 a mile. My character was carrying a little girl and was in front. This was a campaign in which we were to 'save the world'. The tunnel suddenly stopped at a wall. I could see no reason for the tunnel to end after 1/2 mile, so 'Disbelieved' it. Character hit reality (stone wall). When the other characters got there, we just decided to give up and let the world end. We figured if we saved it, no one would know about us doing it, because we were sure to still die, so decided to let the world blow up. Cause if we weren't going to live, no one else should either :P

Playing heroes Unlimited. One player had a character named Mr. Perfect who had the ability to teleport. In the first encounter, the character teleported and failed, rolled poorly again and teleported into the roof of the subway train and died. We all laughed.

This was Dungeons and Dragons, but it's still worthy of special mention.

PC: I land on the dragon's head.

Me: WHAT?

PC: I leap off the edge of the cliff, land on the dragon's head, and stab it in the eyes.

Me: Sigh, roll to hit at -12 for each eye.

PC: That's a 1. That's a 1 again.

Me: So, oh keeper of the initiatives, who goes next?

IK: The Dragon.

PC hiding in the back (OOC): Can you say "Scooby Snack?"

Me: The dragon reaches out, grabs you with both claws, and stuffs you in his mouth. (Rolls 20. 19. 20) You take 148 points of total damage.

PC: I am completely eaten.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PC Minotaur: So I step across the pit.

Other PC's: WHAT? Are you sure?

Me: I echo that statement.

PC Minotaur: Yes, I'm sure.

Me (In a desperate attempt to save the character from himself): Make a dexterity check.

PC: Ok. (Critical Failure)

Me: You fall 500 feet, slam onto the glass spikes below, triggering the acid pouring trap in the glass lined pit, and are attacked by an entire hag covey. (165 hp of damage later) How are you doing?

PC: I'm at -7

Everyone else: You rolled bad, didn't you?

So...I was playing this Fighter Druid in ADnD2 and the GM gave me some pretty fricked up cursed weapons, but offset it by giving me a ring of regeneration.

Something happened and my PC was unconscious for a bit and the dwarf in our group decided that the was going to take my ring.

I woke up, and realized that the little **** took the ring and a fight ensued.

In the scuffle, the ring fell onto the ground, and another PC picked the ring up. The character was a paladin or knight (can't remember which) with an Int of 6.

The exact words of the players speaking as his PC were "This ring is causing a lot of problems..."

With that, he used his 18/99 strength to throw the ring into the sea (we were camped next to it)...

One of my favorites is this.

Player created a Drow Cleric. It was a GOOD drow cleric, but that's not the point of the story.

I told him he could come into the game any time he wanted.

So he chose to come in during a random encounter where the PC's were being attacked by giant spiders. "Hi, guys, need any help?"

The PC's thought he was talking to the spiders.

Shortest lived PC ever.

Years ago, I was a GM of a campaign with a REF Veritech Pilot and a CS Military Specialist. I had a NPC Crazy along with the group that had multiple personalities, all of which were 20th Century Wrestlers (Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, Scott Hall, The Rock, Sting, Macho Man). It was late one night and we were ending the end of the adventure when they started the final battle with the main bad guy, which was an old dragon (may have been ancient, can't remember). The Crazy gets initiative and throws a punch. He rolls a natural 20 and has the boxing skill. We all just looked at each other. I grabbed the main book and could not find anywhere in the book about if supernatural creatures, such as dragons, can be knocked out on a natural 20. Finally, we were just too tired and I allowed it. The dragon falls over unconscious, the other two players start unloading everything as fast as they can, and the Crazy grabs a couple of beers from the cooler, smashes them together, and pours them down his mouth (Stone Cold finishing act after a match). We still laugh about it today.

This situation is also near and dear to my heart. It is a Forgotten Realms story, so bear with me.

The PC's are heroic Robin Hood style adventurers, battling against the evil Sheriff of a city called Laothkund in the Wizard's Reach. There's no information on this place at all, so I figured this would be a lot of fun.

Well, I modeled the Sheriff on Keith Allen from the new BBC Robin Hood. He's a real bastard. :) He taxes the people heavily, mercilessly persecutes those who help the heroes, etc. (We won't discuss some of the things he's done, but among them is "You don't need that leg to be a jeweler. Does anyone ELSE wish to help Taubrynna Tammerath, Champion of the Underdog?")

So the PC's start getting uppity, and he finally decides he needs to hamper their cleric of Lathander. So he tears down Lathander's shrine. This made the cleric very angry. He tried to proseletyze all over town, but the Sheriff one-upped him.

He put a temple to another goodly deity, Chauntea, the goddess of farming and agriculture, in it's place. The players were SURE something was wrong with this. So sure that they spent two HOURS searching it, talking up all the priests, etc.

They didn't find anything. There was nothing to find. The Sheriff completely spin doctored it and just made it look like he was giving the peasants a temple to the god they worshipped most. Now they would produce better crops, and pay their taxes.

It was hilarious. Lesser of two goods. I love it.

Group vehicle is destroyed. The group is hoofing it back to MercTown to reequip.

They Come to a River. The Anti-Monster says I pull a tree up by it's roots and lay it across the river.
I say OK then proceed.

He proceeds to pull a tree up and toss it into the river and turns to me and asks what happens.

I deadpan, "It floats down the river."

It hit the group and we all busted up laughing for like 10 minutes. My brother Jason says what is so funny.
I say first you grabbed a tree without asking how big it needs to be to bridge the river. Then you toss a TREE into a river and ask in all seriousness "What Happens?" It is wood, what do you think will happen? Then he being a little miffed about his blunder tries to jump the river and makes it about halfway across and sinks to the bottom and comes up on the other side.

In that journey our mage, Doogie was carrying strapped to his back an NPC who had lost both legs and one arm.
After everyone but him made it across he was set upon by a couple of Murderwraiths and the group had to get beck across the river to aid him and his one limed passenger.

It was like 1:00AM and we had been at it for like 8 hours by that point so everyone was slap happy which may have attributed to the humor factor.

It is now one of our group memories which elicits laughter at the mere mention.

I was in a campaign years ago playing a Anti-Robot Spec. Headhunter. I had lost my Smiling Jack PA and had built a hybrid SAMAS and Arkhon PA with my other character a True Atlaneon Rogue Scientist. The other character had also built 4 long-range nukes out of wrecked PA's (yes, it was a munckin game). All of the other players were arguing how we were going to fire the missiles at the target (can't really remember the target, it may have been somekind of portal machine). I got tired of them arguing and grabbed a twenty sider, shouted, "A fire a volley of four nukes", and rolled the die. It came up a "1". The gm and the other three players just stop, looked at the "1", looked at each other, and than at me in total silence. The whole room was literlly quite for 2 minutes. The whole time I just sit there, arms crossed, with a big smile. The gm started trying to talk but couldn't. I finally looked at them and said, "We never loaded the missiles in my PA." The missiles were still seating there waiting for the group to decide how we were going to launch them. It was finally decided I would launch them as I had already rolled the "1" out of the die.

My undead slayer and his partner just finished talking our way out of getting arrested in NGR territory for spying( which we were very guilty of) when one of the other PC's said to the NGR troops that he thought we were in the area to spy. When we finally made it back to our home base, I bought him a ball gag and tried to hand it to him. When he would not take it I used an item to cast levitate on the gag and walked away. The PC then cast Anti Magic Cloud because he was nervous about a hovering ball gag. We happened to be near a stone pyramid when this happened and the owner/ GM main NPC came outside to see wat happened and proceeded to hurt the PC very badly, including killing him and using a Circle of Wonder to resurrect him. He learned his lesson.

Got into argument with a PC who was an Apoc. He attacked my experimental rifle rigged with a self destruct device and he knew this ingame.... yeah he forgot 2X adding to any dmg he does. Killed himself and 3 other PCs. This wasn't his 1st time suicide/killing the entire with an Apoc

The person controlling the Apoc had a grudge towards me so we had many skirmishes in the future. Well he decided to GM one night and tried to bully me with the main NPC/secret main PC of his story. I got tired of it and choked him unconscious. I had a thing for rolling nat 20s in player vs player. He started being whinny & everybody else laughed because they knew what he was doing.Well the N/PC pops back awake to attack me... just to be knocked out again. After that he was warned that the N/PC would be killed and this game over if personal vendettas continued ingame.

I just joined a new game *gunslinger* and walking to an outpost when a APC pulls up.My friend thought his PC was like the s*** or something. He opens the door and just starts shoothing at me. Botched his roll and I return nat 20 called head shot with dual pistols. A smirk and about 20sec of silence followed by "Hell No" then 1min of laughter. Last thing said " Atleast I used a pencil so I didn't waste any paper". Then the npcs of his merc group finished me off.

Every time we played it was funny and action packed with sections of annoyance because someone would need to roll a new char.
