Has anyone in the US bought the rights to Macross Zero and/or Macross 7?

Nope and doubt Macross 7 will ever be brought over since they would have to license all that music.

In that case, is there a place to find a subbed version of it, either on-line or elsewhere?

E-bay sometimes, and Conventions.... i've seen DVD's of Macross 7 & Zero at conventions... that were in american packages... look printed on someones home PC.
