Life Leech Questions

I apologize if this has been discussed before but I'd really like some clarity on this power. As it stands in my current game I have to roll to hit, the enemy rolls to parry and then rolls to save against the Leech. Does this seem correct? It just seems like a lot to try and land a single hit. And yes I know it's straight to HP but still.

Yes, that is how it works. But the parry has to be done by a held object or limbs covered in fabric. The game is written as such to avoid abuse by players who want to use the power to inflict major damage.
