If a wargame (not miniatures, but hex and counter, or representative minis not to scale) were to be made for the Robotech setting, what would be some things that would need to be included?
Mecha and spacecraft from the various generations and the various factions
Non-mecha units
Space maps and maps for Mars, the Moon, Jungles
Heroes that add some ability to standard units, although some factions are harder to come up with heroes/leaders for
The generations would be:
Unification
First Robotech War
Reconstruction and the Malcontent Uprisings
Southern Cross
Robotech Expeditionary Force/Sentinels
Invid Invasion
Shadow Chronicles
Return of the Masters
What other stuff would need to be included?

Re: Robotech wargame (not minis)
Unification-war and the Global Civil-War. I've played that using Cyberpunk: 2020, Maximum-Metal rules as a wargame; we converted everything to hexes and used Battletech map-sheets because it just worked better.
The problem with using Robotech, is there's not real OPPFOR for the UN besides the Zentraedi and the Invid. I've searched the internets and found a few that are suitable, like Sub707, SP Lazer and Patlabor and other animie like Gundam.

Are to him but the Playthings of the Moment,
To be turned over with the Flick of a Finger,
And the Turning of a Page"
