The Spell Concealment

Unread post by darthauthor »

So the Spell Concealment, Rifts Ultimate Edition page 200.

Question #1:
Used on money how obvious is it for someone to run their hand over a table to pick it up?

Question #2:
Can somone using "See the Invisible" still see it?

Question #3:
Used on a knock out pill will it still be invisible when dropped in a drink?

Question #4:
What if any skill rolls are needed when using this with a lock pick or such given to a guy in a jail cell by a friend or family member?

Question #5:
A hand-grenade. Is there even a point in make it invisible? So no one shouts "grenade" and just stands still.
Would it work on a grenade, then pull the pin and throw it?

Is this just a mess with peoples head spell?
I figure the idea is to keep something others will search you person for or to pass something to someone without anyone being able to see it. Like a prison guard uniform. Or cheat at cards by make one disappear or appear when you need it.
It all sounds very dependent upon being able to palm things and pass them secretly. Like you need a rogue with you when you cast it.

Q1: The spell is a perception filter that works on people's sense of sight.
Q2: No, the StI does not effect the effects of the C spell on the obsevers brain/mind.
Q3: once the KO drug pill is dropped in the drink it becomes a weapon.Follow spell rules from there.
Q4: this sounds like a palming is a skill roll.
Q5: The problem is the example only talks about a small object on a table and not 'something the char is carrying'. Any rules outside the example would be house rules based off the ideas presented in the spell description.

MwH: yep based on the spell name those are the things I would want to use the spell for.
May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.
Each question should be give the canon answer 1st, then you can proclaim your house rules.
Reading and writing (literacy) is how people on BBS interact.
