Adding flavor to the setting.

What little things have you done to add flavor to the setting?

Dark Day Wall: After Dark Day people started putting up pictures of the ones who had vanished on walls around the country. Took the idea from the 9/11 wall in New York.

The prices of torches (your flashlights) have sky rocketed! And every highstreet has a candlestick maker on it.

Some weirdos believe that worshipping Ra again will ensure it never happens again.

Wilderness survival is taught as part of the schools national curriculum.

My 911 setting flavor thingy is:
Something took down the twin towers in Nightlands New York....all the Nightlords know is there was a horrific (for them) flash of white light and the towers fell. The ground zero area still glows a pale light and nothing that ventures into the area ever returns. Whatever happened nobody knows. My PC's know about it, but have yet to work up the nerve to investigate.
