A Complete Masterlist of O.C.C./P.C.C./R.C.C.?

Unread post by nero2137 »

Anybody ever do this? Not just for Rifts but for the complete Megaverse? Like, across gamelines? I'm posting here because I'm going to run a Rifts game thus my need for it. I started working on one myself, but I'd love to, you know, not have to.

Mine is in Excel, btw, with different pages for games and what not. I'm starting on Rifts now, but I've finished the other games.

For sure! I'd love to get people to look it over! I'm thinking of trying to separate the R.C.C. and O.C.C., but I don't think it's need as I've labelled everything. I'm on to World Books now and then Dimension Books should finish it. I'll post it as soon as I'm done. :)

The GMG is a good place to start. It covers all the OCC/PCC introduced prior to it in the rifts line. You would still need to fill in the ones that came after it but it would save you looking through a good 60 or so books.

The DBees of north america book is a good way to cover most of the RCC that came prior to its release at least for north american world books.

Oh, I'm much to late for that! I was already on WB 25 China 2 by the time I read your post. I'm VERY close to done and I'd love if some of you guys would look it over, see if I missed anything. Also, I understand the forum is a bit strict with posting. Is it OK to post it when I'm done? I don't want to upset anyone. I just saw a need and decided to fill it as best I could. :)

As long as it is just a list of class/race names with book and page references it should be fine. You could probably even add a short description so long as it doesn't include mechanics or verbatim reciting of book material.

Yeah, it's just Game, Book, Class and Page. I figure it's only useful if you have the book. I DID however put every Class in the book regardless of if it had been in an earlier book as some people may only have some of the books. I'll post it as soon as it's complete. Should be tomorrow. FYI, at this point, just for Rifts books, I'm up to a little under 800! That's a LOT!

HEHE DOH I tried to help.

Hehe a full list would be pretty daunting for any player. What I found worked pretty well in the past was if you are going to be in say north america just outline the OCC's common from the area you are in. Then if people have something that really trips their trigger from else where they want to play they can but plopping down a gigantic list tends to make new players brains explode. Also does not help that probably half the original OCC's from earlier world books are basically a occ name and a skill list and thats about it.

Do you have the books that are no longer in print? I can only think of manhunter. Unless you want the old robotech stuff.

I do have Manhunter, but I was only using "official" material. Robotech...I don't have. I'm not really into Robotech. It's a huge list. I'm wondering if I should include Heroes Unlimited "classes". I mean, they're not really classified as O.C.C.s, but you can play one in Rifts. I had forgotten about Splicers though, so I need to go back and do that as well. Otherwise, it's done I believe. I'll post it later today. Thanks for the input everyone!

I have everything from:

Palladium Fantasy RPG
Dead Reign
Beyond the Supernatural
Nightbane
Ninjas & Superspies
Splicers
and of course, Rifts!

Now, I'm thinking that I will go ahead with Heroes Unlimited, add Manhunter to my Rifts list, Systems Failure and, because I hate myself and I'm obsessed with being a completist, all of the Rifters material as well, obviously sectioned by game. This, however, is going to take a couple more days to complete, so my first ETA isn't going to be today. Sorry!

I'm glad there's interest though. I'd feel a little crazy if I was only doing this for me...:P

Is there anything I'm missing that should be included? I don't own the newest books, so I can't use those (the new Vampire book that's not Kingdoms, the Northern Gun 1, I think, like, 12 Rifters or some such) so those won't be in there, but it should still be a HUGE list!

You missed:
After the Bomb is missing from the list, though that might be lumped in under HU.

TMNT licenced books are also missing (along w/Robotech but you've said you don't have RT).

After the bomb I am not sure if they even have any specific "occs" they work their job stuff differently from what I remember. They are more backgrounds than hard and fast occ from what I recall but its been a while since I looked at it.

Mechanoids
System Failure
Recon, though the mechanics are so different as to maybe not really be part of the megaverse.
Chaos Earth

I really can't say for sure as the only ATB book I have is Mutants in Orbit. In MiO they have option of using a Rifts like OCC system in place of the education system used in TMNT and to an extent in HU2E.

Mutants in orbit does but it is the rifts/after the bomb cross over book. I am at work so I can't check at the moment but I recall the after the bomb stuff being more random roll occupation type things not so much occ.

MiO is a random occupation roll with assigned skill package and # of other/secondary skills, but they also treat it as an OCC in the title:
Astrologer O.C.C
Cyberjack O.C.C
Defense Officer
Energy Specialist O.C.C
Guard O.C.C.
Jack of all Trades
Medic O.C.C.
Miner O.C.C.
Space Pilot O.C.C.
Research Scientist O.C.C.
Salvage Expert O.C.C.
Freebooter O.C.C.
Ship Engineer O.C.C.
Survival Systems Technician O.C.C.
Trader O.C.C.

Chaos Earth I lumped in with Rifts, though I just gave it it's own page after deciding it was it's own game. Chaos Earth and Systems Failure are both done as well. I didn't know that MiO had O.C.C.'s, but I'll go and take a look. If they do, I'll put it in there! The other mutant books don't though. As for HU2, the power categories and sub-categories are considered O.C.C.s in Conversion Book 1, so that's how I'll write 'em up. I think I can finish that today and get a good chunk of the Rifters done, but I'm wondering: Would it be easier to put Rifter in it's own category, labeled by Book, System then Class, or just to put it at the end of the page in each system as "Optional"? Regardless, it won't be too much longer.

Oh, and Mechanoids and Recon: I don't have the former, I may have the later somewhere around here. TMNT doesn't use O.C.C.s as I mentioned, so they're not being used.

Glorious.

Little confused at first, when I opened it in libreoffice Calc it only showed three squished things, didn't realize it had defaulted to the bottom of the lists.

Did this a while back.
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=127182

Note, in the above topic I define the class as per the class text says it it, not just parroting what label it given in the book it is in. And I brake them down into more class types.

While that's neat concept, breaking the classes down further, I really just wanted to make something that people could use as a reference, thus, I wrote out the classes as they're written. I mean, if someone new to the game went looking for a class description that doesn't exist, it would just cause confusion.

Having said that...

Where the heck where you when I first posted?! Could have saved SO MUCH time! :)

Thanks for the input guys!
