Average Person P.P.E.

Unread post by rc_brooks »

I know everyone has some p.p.e., just not very much. I know I saw an amount somewhere once upon a time. A die 4 or a die 6... anyone know where that info is located?

Depends on the source you are using, because according to the GM Screen and Conversion Book 1 (IIRC), it is 3d6.

RUE is the most recent "update" to the rules however...
The GM screen is hard to come by these days...
And which version of CB1 are you referencing? CB1 revised under the heading Personal Magic Energy lists 2d6 as the average on page 38.

Original Conversion Book 1, page 26.

I wasn't trying to imply that the GM Screen or Original Conversion Book supercedes the RUE or the Revised Conversion Book, but merely pointing out the fact that there are different listed amounts, which I think is stupid.

And I apologize for any mis-communications that may have happened.

no need to apologize...
I may have jumped the gun a bit on this one.
It is often tho that we older posters forget that while we may have access to the older OOP data newer members may not.
Therefore when asked for a reference I generally go first to the RU:E the one book that by now all of us (with 1 or 2 exceptions) on the boards should have access to.

FWIW I always thought the old 3d6 listing was a tad high when the fluff text on PPE is taken into account.
