Where in the world is your Rifts game?

This Poll is NOT about where you and your players are sitting. This is where your characters are spending most of their time in your home campaigns.

I usually play in the east as there seems to be more going on in that general area then anywhere else in the North American continent...

Russia though with a Dino Swamp feel, far away from the warlords and Sovietsky. I think the warlords were done ok but the Sovietsky just irritates.

CS Spec Ops operating mainly in Lone Star.

Game prior to that was based in Silverado.

When the other players took turns as GM's they based their games in England and South America

On EU, generally, Merc Town. 90% adventure somewhere in North America. Occasionally, youll see folks venture outside North America. Recently, we started a Euro/Africa campaign.

We just started out on the west coast somewhere in the state of washington and found a pre-rifts complex that has another A.R.C.H.I.E. called A.I.D.E.N.N. except this one deals with genetics instead of robotics...turning out to be pretty interesting...

Our group travels the worlds and often goes to Phase World. When on Rifts Earth we have our main base in South America (Cordelia, Achilles Republic) and we mainly adventure around the great lakes and New Haven now.

Interesting...no Japan or Australia as of 4.16.08...even more surprising since those are good books.

Rifts Midwest is supported by the core book, but why do you think that some of the locales have been rated so low?

People like to play in areas they have intimate knowledge about. That is why North America is such a popular location. Canada for Canadians, America for Americans, EU for Europeans, etc...

You'll always get the odd one that breaks suit or goes global or dimensional, and these types prefer a loose, fast-paced (and often powerful) type of game. I'd like to point out that there was a missing location on the poll; sea-side.

I have my preferred setting in an overlapping parallel to the dominion of man; from Ontario and part of Manitoba, through the states to include Chi-Town, NG & the Manistique Imperium, the great lakes, New West, and all the way down to Lonestar and everything in between. I prefer Southern Ontario/Manitoba/Quebec and all the states closest to them though.

Actually I'd prefer to Run it in Alberta, but given that Calgary is Apparently some demonic hell-hole (according to KS

) That generally prevents me from sticking with canon AND having a game that doesn't involve a constant, gritty, strip the Rhino-buffalo of all its parts to survive style game.
