Re: Telemechanics and Robot and Power Armor Combat
Actually, now that I recall, in the Mechanoids Sourcebook, Hagan has a special helmet that boosts his Telemechanics when he's in his power armor or robot vehicle. While that is a special case, I'm sure a similar version could be ported over for other characters. Up to the GM, of course!

Re: Telemechanics and Robot and Power Armor Combat
I agree that telemechanics would allow movement and even basic combat, but nothing as skilled as even general Robot/PA combat training. Now, if you're interested in a psychic PA pilot, the Psi-Tech from Psyscape is a good way to go. Near constant Telemechanics and bonuses when linked to a vehicle!
Re: TW archer
As a spin-off of an archer, I could certainly see TW-harpoons! Even bigger payload than an arrow, even! I believe Quebec has a triple-launcher for true versatility.

Re: Psi stalkers and superpower
Long time, no post, here, but I'm wondering if it's worth mincing words. Makes the issue more complicated to go with "like supernatural strength, but not *quite* supernatural strength." If a race or class has supernatural strength, then just go with supernatural strength; shouldn't matter ...

What? Just because you say so? Blahahahahaaa! It continues!
My thoughts: I wouldn't mind seeing Palladium pick up the TMNT license again! Or another intellectual property. TMNT and Robotech are both strong IPs and not something obscure. What do y'all think?

Re: Shields.
I would consider a TW-Shield in the same way as a weapon in the way features are added. One spell or two programmed into it. Not that there's a lot that are "shield specific" such as Deflection...or Targeted Deflection. Of course, with say, Targeted Deflection, Telekinesis, and Wind Rush, ...

I'll likely have it apply to armor and clothing, but nothing else. I'd hate to see a good character get whacked by a pump pistol. Pump pistols are physical damage, not energy! That's what I'm sayin'. A character immune to energy, likely the most common weapons in Rifts, might think he can go about ...

Got a quick question: does a Mystic Knight's Impervious to Energy protect his armor and clothing as well? I wasn't sure if it only protected his body, or his armor as well, much like a Burster's aura does.

Re: Palladium Books is looking to expand into other media
Why palladium hasn't cashed in on the ebook market simply boggles my mind. They have so much intellectual property that would provide hundreds of novels. They could literally print their own money with ebooks. They've started publishing PDFs of some of their older titles. I'd love to see the newer ...

Re: Bio-Borg Expiration Date
I can see dropping a disposable parasite on a random slave for a temporary boost. Something like a Black Claw or Beastifier for whatever reason the owner wants. A full Bio-Borg on the market might likely be something of a long-term investment, especially if (as according to the book) they compete fo...

Re: Bio-Borg Expiration Date
Not a bad idea, maybe it would extend the side-effects out over time? Or maybe they are just options which wouldn't be used due to the side-effects? I mentioned those in particular due to them being on the Bio-Borg random tables in Splynn Dimensional Market. They have short lifespans, but don't off...

Bio-Borg Expiration Date
In Splynn Dimensional Market, the section on creating Bio-Borgs states that parasites/symbiotes with a short lifespan are extended to the lifespan of the Bio-Borg. Now, I was wondering: should that keep ones such as the Spinetwister or Black Claw from causing their horrible side-effects? I'm also ra...

I'm fine with the way Splicers is all on its own; the last thing it needs it to bring in supernatural forces or the Minion War. That would be like dropping a Glitter Boy (armor and all) into Beyond the Supernatural. Besides, Humans in Splicers have a lot of problems as it is (and its just perfect th...

Re: Feeding Time
Whatever your GM allows. Personally, I wouldn't allow it, but then again, I view Splicers as a dimensionally isolated setting. In my opinion, while bringing Rifts characters to Splicers would be a bit off for the setting (such as tech in a world that is anathema to it), I think a Splicers character...

If a Splicers character had, say, chemistry or even genetics, do you think they should be able to synthesize the nutrient bath needed to feed their bio-tech gear? it isn't that hard to get a high damage ranged weapon in splicers either. it's just that the close-range weapons get even more destructive. i think someone worked it out and found that flying blades are the most efficient overall, and you can get some pretty impressive damage with them. Point for p...

Re: Kick Like a Horse?
In Splicers, their up-close weaponry outweighs their long-range weapons, with a few exceptions. In Rifts, its easy-peasy to get a 1d6x10 MD railgun. And who knows what sort of havoc metal slugs in a Splicer's body would do, thanks to that nanite plague. does not work that way, thank the gods. The m...

A mega-damage horse anyway. I was curious about the way damage, hand-to-hand in particular, seems to stack in Splicers. I've done a few test builds (a little time-killer of mine) and, for example, I've cooked up a Biotic with a total karate kick damage of 6D6+6 MD, using couple leg and exoskeleton o...

That's an unusual comment message you have there, eliakon. Now I'm curious about that.
Re: Fencing
I take the opposite view. I look at the huge number of conflicting rules as evidence that each lines rule set is subtlety different, and thus I only use the rules from the other games as guides. If you go to that extreme, then even Rifts doesn't match Rifts, because different times a rule is descri...
Re: Fencing
I have to admit, I forgot that Splicers had Fencing as a skill, too. (I've got the book, but haven't played the game yet, unfortunately!)
Fencing
The Physical skill Fencing says it adds 1d6 damage for swords; should this count for Mega-Damage swords? I believe it should, due to technique, rather than pure brute strength. What do y'all think?
WP: Staff
While WPs aren't specific to Rifts, this came up from a topic in R:UE. I was discussing Weapon Proficiencies with a friend of mine about WP: Blunt and WP: Staff. Re: Palladium Books is looking to expand into other media
Rifts is too hard to make as an MMORPG. You would need to remove a core aspect of the system, character type choice. Granted many man at arms types are pretty similar for a video game purpose, but how do you balance crazies and juicers versus headhunters? Magic would suddenly be really powerful com...

Okay, so I just saw the movie, and I enjoyed it. However, I quickly noticed something: when we first meet the character Valka, she's wearing a rather ornate mask.
