I was going to bring up the visual impairment part as well. Especially if sand actually gets into the eyes, you can wind up with a torn cornea or worse.

Recently found Gamma world and a module minus the box in a second hand book shop for 5 bucks each. When I checked the dates and usb numbers I discovered to my delight that I had bought the 1st edition rules.
