Yeah you need a pretty powerful party. I would think a mage would be useful as they don't have much ability to counter magic. Yeah, my sheet calculates skills and combat bonuses mainly buy certainly isn't a replacement for books as it does not take OCC/RCC into account. So without books you wouldn't know how many skills to choose or the OCC bonuses to those skills or any combat bonuses provided by your class.

Point of FACT, in the original Source Book 1 there are 5r instances of HP >0 w/SDC n/a AND MDC >0. Now most of those instances I know have been revised in later books, but with regard to SB1o it was hardly a single instance.

This is especially interesting when it comes to undersea adventures and high altitudes as well. I think Ley lines go along the sea floor as well which could be a lot deeper than digging in some cases.

I agree that it's not the strength that's the problem with a borg in a PA, it's that a full conversion borg's body is too big to fit inside a standard PA.
Either way most GMs wouldn't allow it unless it's a very high powered game.

I can never understand why they removed the damage bonus for spells at a ley line/nexus point but left the damage bonus for certain psychic powers.
I can see the reasoning why: magic was given quite the buff in RUE now that most spells can be cast in one or two actions rather than the old system ...

I don't think they've been forgotten; the South America books, Australia and Japan all discuss the implications of the local triangle anomalies. There's not a lot of info about the Mediterranean one in either Africa or Triax but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Agree that Techno Wiz, Rogue Scholar/Scientist and CyberKnight are very versatile OCCs.
Operators are very useful, both the psychic and non-psychic versions.
Ley Line Walkers are surprisingly versatile, both with their spells and skills which can often complement each other.

As has already been said the CS has lost at least once to FQ. It wasn't a devastating loss but it was still pretty bad. Trying to attack FQ at the same time as Tolkeen was a strategic mistake and had they not withdrawn and made peace, could have led to the CS losing the war. Much in the same way ...
