Personally, I'd make sure special characters had something to make them stand out. There's no rules about it, but it just feels wrong having my aces in regular looking mecha. After all, all the aces we see in the anime have special paintjobs.

Characters are an upgrade to an existing mecha. To get Roy, you need to have a VF-1S already bought for him to pilot. So Roy has a total cost of 60 points - 30 for the VF-1S and 30 for Roy.

A quick reference chart for all the combat modifiers and hand to hand moves would be great.

I like the limiting of the Blast markers by not allowing splitting of the missile volley. For the Defender, if you are not allowing split fire with Blast, if they want to use split fire are you just having them fire "normal" (as in not using the Blast upgrade)? Or are you just stripping o...

We're trying a limit of 1 blast marker per mecha. No splitting volleys, or split firing Defenders. Blast is powerful, but it seems to be mostly multiple blasts that slow the game or break it. Also making any shots at the ground only do half damage. This does mean the Phalanx is the king of overkill ...
