Re: How Do You Stat a Goblin?

I use average stats for everyone not important. So, a goblin, on average, has IQ 7 ME 10.5 MA 7 PS 10.5 PP 16.5 PE 10.5 PB 7 Spd 10.5 HP: 14 (PE plus 1d6) SDC: 15.5 (3d6 for being soldiers, +5 because goblin; I could justify more, since soldiers have Bodybuilding by default, but I don't care)) Thei...

How Do You Stat a Goblin?

I’m returning to PFRPG and getting used to the 2nd edition (played 1st in 1984-87). This is a general question that I’m honing to a specific: I want to put X creature in my adventure. How can I quickly determine the stats needed for a potential fight? THUS, I want to put a band of Goblins in my adve...

Re: 1 hour & 7 teenaged players: ideas?

Thanks for the comments so far! Right now, it seems most sensible to run either Palladium Fantasy or one of the other SDC systems because those will be easier to grasp. Having just got Dead Reign a part of me fancies zombie killing... but it might be more sensible to run Fantasy. The only challenge ...

1 hour & 7 teenaged players: ideas?

Hi! I run a school RPG club which, for the last year, has about a dozen players playing two separate games of D&D run by two student GMs. A couple of days ago, I got asked if I could stand in for two of the one-hour sessions to give one GM a break. So... I have 7 teenage players of D&D and a...

ISP Recovery for Minor Psychics

Hello! Sorry to be a nube and ask such a seemingly dumb question, but how does ISP Recovery work for Minor Psychics? I can't for the life of me find mention in Rifts Ultimate. Specifically, I have a Crazy character with his three Psionic abilities. He has a base ISP. Am I correct to assume he doesn'...

Re: Paired Attacks

for one action you can do 2 strikes, or a parry and strike. You lose automatic parry however, so from that point on until initiative is rolled again it will cost an action to parry. So no it doesn't cost 2 actions to do that. Thanks for the help so far - just trying to clarify the relationship betw...

Re: Paired Attacks

So, to be clear: My hero runs up and attacks the opponent bearing sword and shield. I make the attack and then my opponent parries. During his action, my opponent strikes me; I parry with the shield. Can I now also strike simulateously? Also: My hero runs up and attacks the opponent, both bearing sw...

Paired Attacks

If you have a paired weapon, you can parry and strike simultaneously. Does it cost an attack to strike, or is it part of the parry and free?

Re: Movement

Wouldn't a simpler formula for feet-per-round be Spd x15?

I'd also like to think that you could move and then strike in a single action, so maybe some flex is needed in what you can do in an action. Or am I being too generous?

Movement

Hello! Greetings! I'm pretty much a new convert to Palladium Fantasy. I have a question: - How far can a character move in combat? The only reference I have is the Spd stat mentioning that Spd x 20 is yards/metres per minute. Does that make movement Spd x 5 per round? How is that phased per "at...

Re: How do we start?

Ran a session with three of sample heroes, a villain, a load of mook thugs, a bank heist, and a museum heist. The guys had fun and are all talking about making their own Supers for future one-off scenarios as interludes in the ongoing gaming.

Thanks to all for the help!

Re: How do we start?

I'll direct you to my Heroes Unlimited Gallery , where you'll find 9 pregenerated characters; also if you dig a bit further, you'll find four pregen Minions, powerless bad guys you can easily add some powers to if you want; when I used those minions I changed the names/numbers and essentially doubl...

Re: How do we start?

I pregenerated six characters for the players to choose from in the game I'm currently running. I left at least half the skills unchosen and "open" and offered a choice between two alignments on the character sheet. That has seemed to work out well for my group. It took me a few hours but...

Re: How do we start?

How many players? I'm sure the folks hereabouts would be happy to create ready-made characters for them to play -- each good in his or her own right, and built to be better with teamwork -- plus a villain with foilable plans and a capturable henchman. There are four guys, all new to Palladium games...

Re: How do we start?

Hmm. No, the guys won't want to spend the night making characters. I have one night to grab their attention and wow them. I've been GMing for 35 years, so I know how to start a typical campaign. This is a demo session but there are no example characters and no adventures to hand. I guess I better ju...

How do we start?

Hi, Although I played Palladium Fantasy back in the day, I'm (to all intents and purposes) a newbie. On Friday, some friends are happy to have an interlude in our regular campaign to try something new. They are asking about "superhero" stuff. I just received the "Heroes Unlimited"...
