Quick add-on question: As veteran status changes the gunnery skill of a pod, does that also change the number allowed or needed to be in formation. At Gun/1 they just need two pods, but with veterans Gun/2, it would need a minimum of 3 pods? they would need 3 pods to claim the +1 gunnery bonus, but...

Blast templates in some war games like warhammer are there to limit the effectiveness of large model count units, though they are usually harder to come by then those in robotech. now the changes to blast missiles makes them even stronger so i dont know about them anymore, they are too easy to come...

honestly just from a time constraint component there should be a limit to the number of template weapons in an army? its not like other games where resolving a template takes only about 10 seconds to figure out, in this game you have to go through too many steps, especially when firing a volley of b...

warning wall of text. i know masters saga is a long way off if palladium decides to keep with it and go through all the series, but using the same formulas they used Edit for Stats and Conversions , the bioroids seem extremely weak by themselves... pretty much all the bioroids only have 1 weapon sys...

i think if blast missiles become too much of a problem (becuase of the sheer damamage) an way to limit that could be that if the attack roll doesnt meat the defense of those effected (by scatter, or they shot the ground whatever) those mecha get to roll with impact for free? for the question of dodg...

no matter how clear something is written there will always be multiple ways to interpret something..
until official faq's come out i would just say talk it over with your play group, go over the different interpretations and decide on the way to run it until then.

In the few games iv played so far phalanxes havent even been a problem at all. the only issue we've had with them is they drastically slow down the game with the large number of templates. anyways how we've been doing it here. they have 11 missiles in each arm. they also have an Internal magazine which holds another 11 missiles for each arm. for a total of 44 missiles. there is no mistake

I havent tried them out yet, but the rulebook has a chain of demo scenarios that gradually introduces game mechanics to people, it keeps them nice and simple from what i can tell (2 vf-1a's against 6 battlepods) and gradually increases from there, though with the concession that life is cheap is rem...

my vote is in the camp of can be fired a third time, since there would be ZERO reason to write "can be rapid fired one additional time this turn" if it didnt work like that, since the gunpod itself already has rapid fire as a base rule and the extra sentence would be completely redundant i...

OK, so, Warmaster, if I follow you correctly: You could take a 30 AP special pilot, throw give him a VF-1S, and then throw all the bonuses on him you like..and he would be better then buying a VF-1S add-on...is that a correct understanding? to my understanding yes, if you just stick to the 5 point ...

for 1) when you pay the advancement points for a custom character mech, you arent paying for what they can "pilot" you are actually buying that mech for your army, it gets added to a core force card instead of replacing an existing mecha. so in essence you just pay the cost of whatever mec...

Units in Close Formation can shield each other without paying command points. So if you have a Veritech hit by a Glaug with the top cannon for 6 damage you can split it among both the fighters half and half for 3 points each. THEN you can Roll with Impact for each of the two Veritechs reducing that...

I would like to see them make some of the non mecha units, like the Commanchero, the F203 dragon, and the cats eye specifically.
