No, i don't change it. While not as 'powerful', it is still amazing (especially since you heal even when you aren't resting, and never get tired in the first place). I think if you had a small number of psionic powers (like a Lachinelian or Camlean mystic study character would have; eg 1-4 minor) you don't really need to go mega table, but if you have any super psionics*, it would be gracious to use the slower progression.
