I guess what really want is something that just keeps me guessing. I don't know what's in the dark cellar, what's around the next corner, if something is following my character...
If I figure out what's going on too soon, it gets boring.

The only thing that has ever really bugged me is that the picture of the Psi-Healer on Page 81 and Page 137 is sideways. The bricks in the background give it away. Not sure that could ever be fixed though since it's a whole layout thing. The Mask PPE psi-power on page 120 lists Psi-Stalkers too. Gue...

Generally, the Psychic Character Classes would be substantially lower in power than HU characters, especially with the Proximity = Power rule in BTS2. Serious conversion to that power level would take some time. Some of the monsters would be of a power level to fit into HU as villains. The psionic p...

Kevin showed Subjugator, me, Randy McCall and some other guys (whose names escape me at the moment) some of the artwork that's been done for this book. I gotta tell ya, the artwork is great. I don't recall the name of the artist either (doh! I really suck at names), but if the artwork is any indicat...

I thought it was a great time, even though Chi and I got there so late we couldn't find the time to participate in any of the games (it was too much fun meeting people.) I'd love to see a semi-regular convention, but since I have to travel from Colorado, I'm not sure how often I could make it. But i...

Since the Arcanist has been taken out of the game and the 1st edition is out of print, is it a copy write infringement to copy it for other's? If not I still have my 1st edition book, I could type it up on a Word document and email it to you. Can I get a ruling on this one? I'm not a copywright exp...

Re: BTS in the 19th Century
So I was watching Van Helsing this morning and for some reason got the idea that the 1800's would be a really good time period to run a BTS campaign. Now, keep in mind it's been awhile since I bothered to look through the book (and I only really ever had the interest in it enough to purchase the 1s...

BTS can be a great game. But it needs a full time writer devoted to it for it be worked up to its potential. Right now, based on Palladium's financial woes, I don't see that happening. We'll have to be patient for the time being. (Trust me when I say that hurts me as much as any of you. BTS is my fa...

I'm going to be pssimistic and go with a next summer date for both...then one will be pushed to next winter... After seeing the latest press release, I'm going to have to go with this as well. Until then, we've only got a small piece of the game environment...it's disappointing. But as a long time ...

Our Victorian BtS game has been going strong for some time now...years I think... Kev: Yup. I've been running that game for three years now. I keep trying to get the team to go to the Western US, so I can use all the material I've developed for there, but everyone keeps wanting to go back to London.

I'm disappointed in the delays, but I can't say that I'm upset. I've played BTS for so long that enjoy the freedom as a GM to do what I choose to with the setting, the character classes, the monsters, etc. Anything I want is easily converted from other Palladium systems. The other extreme is Rifts w...

Becky, it depends on whether or not you're looking to GM or looking to play a psychic. If it's the latter, the main book is great. A GM will have to do a lot of work to run a campaign though since there is so little there to work with. You can only hope that your BTS GM is good enough to handle the ...

I've been running BTS since it first came out and I've run numerous campaigns in table top and online forums. Currently, I've been running an online BTS game for over two years and when I gave them the option of stopping, all of the players wanted to keep going. So I guess I can say I'm pretty succe...

Re: I've Been Challenged
It is possible, but it's hard to give you suggestions without knowing about the GMing style or the rest of the group. Basically, GM's tend to use many of the same tricks and monsters though they twist them. I was the GM in the game Mike mentioned. Possession can be blocked by a mind block, for examp...

Re: Why is it....
Is it just me or did this thread take a segue from the original question? As I recall, the Original Question was: "Why is it that if someone mentions that they have a character with what is concieved as an unconventional number of powers then people always cry munchkin?" True or false? Assuming it i...
