Re: Rituals vs Invocations
I look at it this way, if the description of the magic involved doesn't state XYZ is used in the ritual it isn't used in the ritual. Now some magic disciplines are good about requirements (Circle Magic) while others leave a lot to be desired (Wizard Invocation in general). I'm going to assume you ar...

What I would like, especially for BTS and Heroes but also for all other games, is a way for non-mages to cast rituals like you see on shows like Buffy and Supernatural. I do this with scrolls now but it would be better if there was a set system for this. Well for rituals you only really need x1 mag...

Can a case be made for use on a corpse? Possibly. Though we know the power is likely of limited value given True Atlanteans haven't been able to use this power to work out the identity of the Sunaj that are hunting them down. Can you cast the spell twice and shoot as paired weapons? It might not be necessary depending on how one wants to interpret the "blue energy to leap from the spell caster's hand(s) to the intended target" (BoM pg100, emphasis mine) and how many (ranged) paired weapon "modes" one...

Nothing prevents it in the description. However, IMHO, for this to work it likely requires each casting to have a different "center point" (as it uses radius of effect, overlapping coverage is fine).

The exact OPPOSITE is true with regards to larger mecha. The larger they are, the less mass they can devote to armor and still be able to stand up. Not necessarily. If the Logan can devote say 10% of its dry mass to armor where the VF-1 can only do 5%, that still means they end up with the same amo...

I'd suggest going in with an organized plan on what is available and what the player is looking to play. There are things the GM (or player) can do to speed things up before hand. I'm not saying Mass/Volume Ratio isn't a factor, I'm just saying it isn't the sole factor here you make it out to be. Factors like how the mass is allocated have to be considered (the heavier mecha having more mass available to devote to "armor"), material properties are also important (we...
