I would say that much of the above advice is good advice. try to allow the characters room to take their own actions and lead them where it may. often times GMs get so caught up in their story that they push too hard. I tried to make it a little more gritty I love the Deathlands books by Axler and so moving it deeper into the dark ages does it for me. In Deathlands you are lucky to get a gun with some bullets. Was Chaos Earth as gritty as you wanted or expected? what do you do to bring out the survival aspect?

all spells can be rituals but they require items. what do you have them use for spell components? Have you seen a list of items? some examples from movies I have seen are eyes of newt or rats tails. I have not seen anything with the magical properties of Dragon part however.

is carpet of adhesion a visible carpet? I have read it more closely and it says it lays out a carpet. That would seem to me to mean a visible carpet that could be avoided.

I dunno. I prefer to focus on action and relationships rather than mundane details like a cooling system breaking down. If I were going to do that, I'd say at least a week of continuous use. The only specific reference I found about prolonged wearing of armor is under Glitter Boy Power Armor pg 71 RUE, but I don't have all the books. extreme conditions often cause equipment to fail. how would you implement a fair way to test characters full environmental armor. For example surviving in a major desert of harsh jungle. I just imagine a suit of armor running its cooling system to the hilt for the majority of the day.

I think it would go off but at the moment of ingestion because there has to be imminent danger and "always in motion the future is" and until the bite is taken then no imminent danger to them until they bite
