Keep in mind that the CS is bit touchy when it comes to enemy aircraft, so it could be a sound business decision for NG to avoid a conflict with the CS.

darthauthor, a few times you mentioned fairness. Keep in mind that that there is no fairness in Rifts. The different OCCs are all inherently, deliberately, unbalanced.

If you're talking about combat in the wilderness, then yes, psychics fall behind.

And if you want to blend the two, Techno-Wizard items can be absolutely bonkers powerful. Some spells really lend themselves to TW conversions, like Power Bolt or Lightning Arc. Crossed weapons gives a set of bonuses for 5 PPE. As an enhancement, it can be added to any of the base weapon tattoos--flames, serpent, or otherwise.

Yes, I feel the same about the Anti-PPE tattoo. The only time I see those two tattoos being useful is if you have to capture (not kill) a Mage or Psychic. A good discussion point would be Rift's Mind Melter traveling to Palladium Fantasy where the physical psionic Teleport Object exists. It's a minor power, but it doesn't exist in Rifts. If the MM leveled up while in PF, would he/she be able to snag that psionic?
