Re: Character concept: opinions and feedback sought
MAF moves and powers may not be available in Morpheus? But you're Facade is less fragile than most and you might be better adjusted than most Nightbane. Lack of chi conversion rules is gonna be annoying. DMA lack of skills could be problematic; WMA not so much. But Mr. Miyagi who can turn into the ...

Character concept: opinions and feedback sought
The idea is simple: the character started as either a Dedicated or Worldly Martial Artist as per N&S, then discovers her true nature. Mechanically, this seems straightforward: build the character normally, then apply Morphus and select Talents. Are there any complications I'm missing? In terms o...

Yes. It was at the end of the Techno-Wizard OCC.

Re: Modern Day TW
My reasoning was thus: Telekinesis to push on surrounding objects, Energy Bolt to strengthen Telekinesis, and Magic Shield to shape the force. That being said, Deflect primary and Watchguard secondary also works. I put Deflect as primary on the concept that Watchguard controls Deflect, but Deflect d...

Re: Modern Day TW
Collision Protection (Level 6) Primary Spell: Telekinesis Secondary Spells: Magic Shield, Energy Bolt When activated, this spell produces a roughly elliptical band of repelling force parallel to the ground. For the next ten minutes, the pilot gains +15% to all skill rolls to avoid collisions, or +3 ...

Re: Modern Day TW
So far, I have two features: the Enclosure feature and the Ultimate All-Terrain Package feature I've posted elsewhere, and I'm considering another, but have no real idea how to implement it. The idea is simple: an anti-collision charm, like a ring of hard rubber around the vehicle. So far I'm thinki...

Re: Modern Day TW
Transform into what, though? There aren't really a lot of useful alt modes for a motorcycle and most of them are already pretty small.

Modern Day TW
Short version: Engineering Physics major in the modern day suddenly gains the knowledge and abilities of a Rifts techno-wizard. He obtains an electric motorcycle and converts it to run on P.P.E. Naturally, he wants to add some special features. The “Ultimate All-Terrain Package” and “Enclosure” I’ve...

Mystic Power Armour updated
Techno-wizard Power Armour This device, arguably the pinnacle of the techno-wizard’s art, provides intelligence, protection, offence, mobility and utility functions. There are many variants of appearance, most of which resemble suits of plate armour made of gleaming crystal, though the famously beau...

TW Question
The time needed to create the Techno-Wizard device, in hours, is equal to the P.P.£' Construction Cost, divided by 10, multiplied by the Device Level. Device Construction Time: P.P.E. Construction Cost/10 x Device Level. If the Techno-Wizard is adding to existing technology - vehicle, armor, weapon ...

Re: TW Feature: Enclosure
Not necessarily. Energy Field's gem is cheaper than Magic Shield. In theory it is (credit wise) cheaper to improve the Gem's carat for EF than MS, which would reduce the activation cost. For example if you double the carat of the gem (6) for each, when I do the math I end up with a activation costs...

Re: TW Feature: Enclosure
That would work, though again the higher casting cost would make the feature more expensive.

Re: TW Feature: Enclosure
You could also go with Sheltering Force to provide some environmental protection / temperature moderation, and throw in Invisibility: Simple so that it's transparent and not semi-opaque. Unfortunately, that provides very little advantage, only a 5.6 degree Celcius temperature moderation, and costs ...

TW Feature: Enclosure
Enclosure (Level 6) This feature is normally applied to open vehicles such as motorcycles and speedboats. When activated, the vehicle, or at least its cockpit or passenger area, is covered by a light (2 MDC) force field, protecting from rain, snow, wind, and similar. Activation Cost: 1 P.P.E. or 2 I...

Re: TW Multicycle
The following would is not a part of the Rifts game, so the GM would have to allow it to be imported. In the PF RPG 2nd ed Game, there is in its Northern Hinterlands gamebook, where the "Snow Walking" spell was published, that might be applicable to having a magiced vehicle drive over sno...

Re: TW Multicycle
Ultimate All-Terrain Package (level 6): This feature allows the target vehicle to drive over nearly any surface: water, gravel, ice, the side of a building, the surface of mud or snow, anything that can be reasonably considered a surface, and make very long horizontal jumps, up to 30m (this can incl...

Re: TW Multicycle
Remember that a TW can alter a spells parameters to better fit a TW Device (as I said in your other thread there is an example in RUE for the Sticky Tires using Carpet of Adhesion). So some spells that might seem a poor fit, they could adjust parameters to better fit. You might also want to review ...

TW Multicycle
The concept is straightforward: a motorcycle that can be driven on water, up and down walls, over mud and snow, and so on. It can't fly. Some needed spells are obvious: Swim as a Fish, Climb, and probably Float in Air. These are presumably separate functions, and thus, Primary Spells. I'm wondering ...

Re: TW web thrower
Since Magic Tether seems somewhat similar to Magic Net and Manipulate Objects, I’d say amethyst or opal would be appropriate.

TW web thrower
The device has two function: web and line. Web is easy: Magic Net. Line is a little trickier; telekinesis and manipulate object just don’t seem a good fit, especially for a climbing line.
