56 total events? Not bad, way better then the last time I went. I wish we, the MA's, would have coordinated more so that we could spread the types of games out. Can't believe I am running the only Robotech.

I thought I had a Palladium Fantasy game scheduled.. Maybe it doesn't show because I'm running at the booth...

Okay, that's right, I'm running at the booth; here's my games:

Phase World: A Simple Cargo Run
Players: 4-6, walk-ups welcome.
The characters are hired at Phase World as temporary crew of a ship to make a simple cargo run.. What could possibly go wrong?

Heroes Unlimited: Invasion!
Players: 4-6, walk-ups welcome.
The city is under attack by an alien force, and it's greatest heroes have gone missing.. It's up to the second string to save the day..

Palladium Fantasy: Save Spatenrok!
Players: 4-6, walk-ups welcome.
Someone is plotting the death of Duke Spatenrok, and only his most loyal troops can protect him and his family.

One question, I wonder how many of the Rifts games are actually Phase World? I know mine is but that would be something there. I am happy to see Heroes & Beyond the Supernatural get some love but it would be nice to have a few more HU on it's 30th birthday. We could also use some more Chaos Earth and it would be even better to have some PFRPG. If we ever go all out like this again maybe someone should keep a running list on the forums

I figured there would be a few games being run at the booth, but I thought most of those would be Robotech Tactics. I guess we can also count on Kevin to run one or two large PFRPG games out of the booth as well?

From the link in the OP, there are Three Phase World based games (one that's being run twice so three all together) on the roster, plus mine that will be at the booth. I'm not sure if any other freelancers were planning to run games there as well or not.

I'm sure there will be some Robotech Tactics demos going on throughout the con like last year.. I don't know if Kev's going to be running or not, but I'd guess off hand that he probably won't have time.

I didn't know that, does Kevin usually run at Gen Con? I thought he did. But your probably right about the limits on his time.

Ardukar Gencon gave the Ma program five tables for the convention in one area, as for individual games not submitted by us, I have no clue, but the staff at GeCon are very receptive to questions.

Does that highprogrammer site keep up to date? 3 of the Dead Reign events look to be canceled if you try to purchase tickets or search for the Game ID.

I just looked at highprogrammer, and it said none of my games had any people. I looked on GenCon's page, and there are 0 tickets left which means they are all full.

Doesn't look to be updating.

We are looking at:

24 Rifts events
9 Heroes Unlimited events
8 Robotech Tactics events
6 Beyond the Supernatural events
4 Dead Reign events
3 Chaos Earth events
1 Robotech event
1 Palladium-related seminar

and a Partridge in a....no, wait, sorry. :-D

No Splicers or PF at the moment...I wish I had time to run even a short PFRPG campaign! I really should try to squeeze in like a 2-hour quick run or something, even if it is "off the books"!

Overall, that's pretty great, especially compared to years prior!

Am I missing any?

There is no AtB2 game listed.

It looks as if GenCon accepted my GM request. Event #RPG1465371, Rifts: The Shadow of Mikaboshi, is available. Two and a half weeks isn't a bad turn around for a late submission. Hope to see some of you there!

I posted this elsewhere.

Two notes....

I have 4 games that are all related for Rifts Chaos Earth.
For some reason, one is posted under Rifts
and the other three under "Choas"

Can this be corrected, or at least get all 4 together.
Thanks

Im still not seeing any change in how my games were listed.
Has me worried. Who is going to sign up for a game of "Choas Earth"
And the other one is not even listed with them, its listed as a Rifts Ultimate game.
I hope they fix it, going to be a bummer if I have a whole 1 player sign up for games.

I replied to this in the Lounge,

I have left two voice messages and an email declaring the name issue, but as for having them combined Gen Cons submission system will not allow that, as Rifts and Chaos earth are stand alone systems.

Just read your other reply, Thanks

And its not that Im trying to combine them, I just want all 4 games under Chaos Earth as they should be.
Currently, One is under Rifts Ultimate, where it does not belong. And the other three, as I mentioned on your other
thread, are in a category called "Choas" And honestly at this point, I would just like to see them all in the same category
since they are related games.

to pre register? Or will I be running open games now?

Well a lot of the people who wanted to go would have been GMing at that time. So none of us could come to it. :(

Maybe we should plan an 'unannounced' one on our own. :)

I've only been to GenCon once before and didn't run any games. This year I'm running three games at the booth on top of working the booth, so I don't expect I'd have time to do a panel.. With the exception of the one game I played in (Brandon's RIFTS game) last year I think I was only away from the booth about an hour each day, including bathroom and food breaks.

I have been to Gen Con almost every year. And usually run games.
Two years ago I missed , do to my bankruptcy.
Last year I only made it for Saturday, and couldnt run games.
My kids made me leave at 3:00 Said they had to intervene before
I purchased so many game books, I wouldnt have room for the kids
to get back home....
Still have my autographed receipt from Kevin for 666 dollars. hahaha

This year, I am back in action. Will be first year as an Official Palladium Ambassador.
I think this is going to be an awesome year for Palladium at Gen Con.
Looking forward to the fun.

Just a note: I should be there early Thursday, and when I am not running games
I would be happy to help out at the booth. I definitely know all the product. :)

I have been going to GENCON since 1992. Since then I have only missed 2 years, mainly because of work related interferences.

I have GMed at over half of those years... First for Iron Crown Enterprises playing Silent Death, FASA (when Battletech was still cool and the 'Unseen' were still being published) then with a game group out of Canada, named the Ottawa Red Shirts (great bunch of guys).

I love the hobby aspect of the games, terrain making and painting. You can see some of my WIP on another thread in the Robotech Tactics Forum.

I have always loved Robotech. It’s the reason I became a fan of Battletech in the early years. Nothing like flying around in a Phoenix Hawk LAM (VF-1S) and shooting an Atlas in the back or a hot Red Head (Natasha Krensky) that kicks @$$ in a Warhammer (Tomahawk). Then it all went away with Fasa's demise. I eventually moved on to other games, but still look back on the good old days. I was one of the founders of PUGS (Purdue University Gaming Society) in Calumet, IN. We convinced the university that PUGS would focus on strategy games like Chess, and much to our surprise we were granted a room to hold meetings (read: gaming sessions) and an actual budget. I am told, to this day (20 years later) PUGS still plays.

Now I am an MA, and can wait to get those beautiful minis in my paint station to get them ready for GENCON and GAME ON!

I hope Palladium doesn’t mind a little impromptu gaming sessions in their gaming area. My events are sold out, and I don't think 16 hours of game time will be enough for my addiction. :-D

OK, now I'm a little nervous.

I've been to GenCon once, and never GMed there. I have GMed at a Con before, but not GenCon. And never with so much focus. I have 4 games, all are maxed out with players... Yeah, I'm a little nervous now...

Even though each is maxed out, I'm going to assume not all 6 people per game will show up... If they do... Wow, well... Yeah, little nervous!

But excited!

I just want to check on how things are going to be run. I live on the south side of Indianapolis and may or may not be putting forward the cash to officially attend GenCon, but I'd like to FINALLY play some Rifts after all of these years after not really having the opportunity to do so with anyone familiar with the game system to help me out. I'll be teaching on Thursday and Friday, but would be available during the weekend sessions (or Friday night). It looks like most of the games will be in the Marriott.
1) Are the Marriott sessions the 'Palladium Game Room' that is referred to at the beginning of this post?
2) Do you have to be officially attending GenCon to play these sessions? Another page to register took me to the GenCon website, but I don't know if this link was to play the games are register the games.
3) At this point, is there even any games still available or all they all full?
4) Any walk-in games?

Thanks for any info. I'm not familiar with how the gaming sessions are supposed to work--I'd originally imagined it to be a ton of people playing 'pick-up' games and just having a lot of fun that way, but it appears to be a lot more complex than that now that I'm looking at everything.

1) Are the Marriott sessions the 'Palladium Game Room' that is referred to at the beginning of this post? No our sessions will be in the Gen con convention center, the marroit games are for only for one evening.

2) Do you have to be officially attending GenCon to play these sessions? Another page to register took me to the GenCon website, but I don't know if this link was to play the games are register the games. I am sorry to say but yes you must pay for admission to the Convention to play in any palladium game unless some one runs a game after the con ends at the hotel confrence room Hint hint

3) At this point, is there even any games still available or all they all full? the games had to be given a seating number, as of right now that is full, but given the game masters discretion he can allow extra players into the game

4) Any walk-in games? many conventions have an open gaming section, As for our area, if we have all tables full and we have enough people who want to play and a GM willing to play, I am going to try and have a set of pregens for pick up and play.

Also, I'll be running games at the Palladium booth; I've got a Palladium Fantasy game, a Heroes Unlimited game and a Phase World game; at this point I'll probably run them in that order, one each day, so if you get in on Saturday you can try to get into mine.

Also, next spring at the Palladium Open House it will be more like you imagine; there are sign-up sheets put out each day in the morning, but most GM's plan for an extra player or 3..

Is anyone doing a master sheet of all the Palladium games so we can point people in the right direction if they come to he wrong table/game?

Or perhaps a dinner one of the nights for all of us to hang out?

Will there be another update email before next week? Or even a group Skype for all of us to sync up?

Your absolutely right though. With the scope of this thing. There should be some organization
to start this off. And more than one way to make contact for badges and such. I go to Gen
Con almost every year. And it doesn't matter what cell provider I have had, phones do not
all work, and or in all parts of the convention area.

I for one am worried about how easy it is going to be, to get our badges, and such.
