Do you use specific hit location tables?

Just wondering if anyone, besides me, uses hit location tables or dice? Or just torso hit for all?

I have gotten the impression that Palladium GMs and gamers don't like this idea.

I mean, I've got tables that can even tell you which body organ was hit; which finger joint of a hand has been severed; death blows to the head; etc.

Dice I have a 1d12 with: Right Foot, Left Foot, Right Hand, Left Hand, Right Arm, Left Arm, Chest, Stomach, Head, Right Leg, Left Leg,, Full Body

So, share your thoughts plz, thanks.

We do when we play Rifts, Robotech or Macross, but then we use the random hit locations provided in one of the Palladium books.

Nope, unless it's a completely random wild shot, then PERHAPS. Using a straight D12 without staggered rolls means you're as likely to hit their hand as their chest.

Short and sweet - Nope.

Here is my most detailed Hit Location Table. Please leave comments, if any, at the site below for the table there, thanks.

I don't. Too much rolling for my likes. It's not that I don't like the idea, it just doesn't really work for my playstyle.

When we do our strike rolls we roll a percentile at the same time (so we roll a d20 and 2 d10's).

That's still too much rolling for my likes. Not necessarily the physical act of rolling the dice, but everything that it entails. Essentially it's either too much rolling, too much math, too much referencing, or some combo thereof.

Like I said, playstyle difference.

Oh no doubt and we dont use it unless we are in mecha where it is quite likely to not hit the main body. We use a basic table of arms, legs, wings/alternate limbs (if any), main body. So once we used it a couple of times we didnt even need to reference anything, we knew what role was for where.

Yeah the official location tables were way too specific.
