Ok theres four teams all will fight to the death who will win?
Every body has 2 months preptime and 2 million dollars who would win

DOH! I voted for team smart before I read what they were. I just assumed they were geniuses, like doctor doom or something.

I now say it's a toss-up between team psi and team magic, with leanings toward the psi group. An Astral Lord is just nauseating... UNLIMITED resources, and a place to hide & power up where the guy in charge is a goofy powerhouse in his domain. Add a dream dancer who can spy on anyone and go anywhere, and you have the ultimate group. They can attack with impunity, are as close to all-knowing/all-seeing as it gets. If their psionics are chosen wisely, they can compliment each other, resulting to the ultimate espionage & assassination group.

Magic also has alot of those assets (unlimited resources, via the Astral Mage's domain... less so than the Astral Lord's), plus a true warrior (magic weapon) among them.

The Mutants have some crazy powers (each have 2 majors and some minors?!??!?!?), I dare to say munchy. Still, they can't go to the astral domains (unless they want to get wiped) and none of em seem to have notable resistance to magic or psionics...

The techy guys will be prey to the psi-hacker and/or technowizard and/or mechano-link guy. They can figure out anything tech and get around it when it comes to traps and security. The magic & psi groups can locate the hardware guys, show up when they're at their weakest and rape em.

Team Psi.

Reason:

They forgo the prep time, take out team mystic FAST (mage takes 1/2 round to cast spell..., greatest threat), rest in astral Lord's domain with 1 of the psy possibly inhereting the mystic weapon another the object, take out team "smart", hide again, then pick off the muties 1 by 1, using all the accumulated goodies

I voted for team magic. They use some magic to garner info about their foes and thus properly prepare for the battle, summon a few demons as backup, and just before you teleport in to attack any particular group, you cast a number of appropriate defensive spells.

Pop in....blammo/tear/claw/zap......pop out.

The key to the Magic users is that they are all about being prepared and choose their battles wisely.

Well, I have no idea what a '5th level charter' is, so I'm just going to have to chalk it up to Cherico's typically tenuous grip on the English language and proceed...

I voted for 'Team Smart.' Yes, the other teams would probably use Team Smart as so much toilet paper if you dropped them all together with no prep time... but I follow the saying "a man with a plan is a dangerous man." The more time smart people have to plan, the more dangerous they become. Smart people tend to analyze their opponents strengths and weaknesses and can devise ways to circumvent them.

Psychics, Mutants, and Mages tend to rely on themselves and their own personal abilities (and therefore may not use their prep time/budget wisely), and that kind of arrogance can be suicide. How often do you hear of a Psychic or Mage prevail when his/her powers are negated? Granted Mutants do tend to fare a little better (thanks in no small part to the plethora of X-comics through the years), but even then it's the SMART mutants who tend to lead the way to overcoming the odds.

Give me brains any day.

Team Psy, they just have the dreamdancer go into each person's dreams and take them out while they're sleeping.

Not in an official "Cherico Poll" you can't... Grammatical competence is barely tolerated, let alone encouraged.

You kno i really dont know who to vote for on this becuase any one of these teams can win if they are played by the right person no one team has any "real" advantage over the other if they are all played by experienced roleplayers who know there chracters weaknesses and strengths and how to properly utilze them in any gaming situation

I voted team smart before i read the actual teams. No matters. It's still team smart. They would be the best prepared the best equiped and the best stratigests. Hands down they win.

I'm surprised that team magic doesnt have a battle magus. By far the best agerssive magic user.

If outsiders are allowed, I'd have to vote for "The Mangoons", or maybe "Wildcard Squad" or "Bandit Squad" from Section-C.

Cant dream dancers use the dreamstream to essentially teleport into a sleeping person's room?

well you guys and gals are forgetting one thing. Team Smart would probably spend the 2 months and the 2 million finding help eg negate magic or super abilities. And hire them to make sure they win i mean there not dumb(haha). Its like a battle between all of the justice league,Batman(being the smartest) would let them all fight among themselves the at the end jump in with kryptonite and take out Superman or with a yellow suit and oops there goes the Green Latren. So I think that team smart would definatly win either waitng it out or with a smart hire. (everyone knows that the psi magic and mutants would fight amoungs themselves)

team smart would orchestrate ways for the other teams to kill each other off, and then drop a nuke on the survivors (if they were like me, and evil) or whip up some sort of super invention doohickiemabob and give it to the weapons guy to go in blazing and take out whoever was left.

heck, team smart would probably act like they gave up and ran away, or fake their own deaths so the others would beat themselves all to pieces before wiping up the few survivors...

now if the other three teams all had a smart guy on their team...and team smart were disbanded, id have to say team psionic would probably fare best, given palladiums combat system, and their likely inherent knowledge of the other teams weaknesses.

Assuming foreknowledge is equal. (Limits of powers and spells)

Team Smart. Any of the teams can shut down or blow up the station at a whim. But only the smart team can build armored environmental suits with energy blasters or an EM pulser.

The psi's can escape, and the mages, or any teleporter, but to escape is not to WIN. Last man standing, Team Smart.
