Does anyone know how many different sets were manufactured, and if there are any decent feline mutant animals in any of them?

Wow, never knew there was TMNT minis. Man, pick them up!!! They would be so cool!!!

But to keep them pristine in their packaging, or to open them and paint them......

this reminded me that I used to use those old Battle Beast action figures to represent my ATB characters when I first started playing

If you're serious about finding feline miniatures, send me a private message. I know the location of a website that has them.

Were those the little armored animal-men with the decals on their chests with symbols for wood, water, and fire?

I have a couple of those. One is a rat and the other is a racoon.

Spider, chameleon, and a sled that looks like a deer with fangs :D

Anybody know of other old toys that make good miniatures, aside from the obvious army men and the like?

Gordy, I dunno if this will help, but Reaper Miniatures has two sculpts of a character called Cleo Goldpaws, a weretigress who could easily be used as a mutant cat: http://www.reapermini.com/store/custome ... tring=were

You can also check here: http://www.100kingdoms.com/forum/hk_kin ... nKingdom=4

Granted, these are more of a fantasy nature, but I don't see why they couldn't be used for low tech tribal mutant animal types.

crocodilegames also creates some nice furre minis. Go knock yourself out!!

Though I must admit their canines look way better than the felines they have.

I agree with you there, PoiuyWired. The Basti, especially the pictures that they have of them in the WarGods of AEgyptus rule book, look WAY too human.
