If you have requests for Avatars, post the requests here. If I have the book, I will make the scan.
All images must be from Palladium Books.
At this time, images from Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles CAN NOT be used!

In order for me to provide you with the right image, I need the following...

Book
Page #
Description of what are of the image you want.
If there is more then one image on the page, or more then one face on the page, then please be specific as to what you want.
If you have scanned the image yourself, then feel free to forward the image to me @ deific.nmi[at]gmail.com

As my books are in storage at this time (limited availability while I live with my mother in law), I wont be able to get to this request for a week or two at best. If you have the book and access to a scanner, feel free to scan the image (full image is fine) and email it to me. I will then crop it as needed and add it to the avatar database.

Well that sucks big green donkey.....

Heck it's not like the images (both new and old) are not already in palladium products. Besides we have the head of the Z-4 as an avetar, and that being said why can't the older images be used?

At a bet, licensing. Palladium has a limited license with regards to Robotech and while that extends to a forum on their boards, it doesn't extend to using images from works which are owned by HG.

Yeah I am sure there is a lot of stuff in that contract that Palladium cannot divulge. Such as contractual limitations of the Robotech IP, and why that stupid manga format is used.

or why the frell the RPG can't be sold in France... curse'em, it's not like they were actually going to licence a French RPG publisher (we do have some... but my guess is none big enough to afford the licence) to do a French specific game.

i used to have a lot of key npcs fully detailed. with custom graphics sad i lost em due to an old pc breaking. Any thing that was made up was in there, occs and npcs

but in the early books there was the character sheet specific to the occ. even just that icon for easy reference.

But i was wondering on avatar requests? are they still on going? see my earlier post if it slipped through.

Thanks

I would be glad the few recent requests for avatars, but my books which I would need to scan from our in storage [I've recently moved] If you have a scanner, you can scan the page in question, email me @ nmi@thedeificnmi.com, I will crop it as needed and upload the result as an avatar.

I have TWO requests. Both are from Revised SB 1.

First is the head of the 'Little Brother' armor on page 130.

Second is the Republican emblem on page 117.

Let me know if you need images sent!

Mr. Deific;

I hope this isn't an unusual question, but would it be possible for me to provide you with a scanned drawing I've done of Boethermsbrukan's headshot (I can do the bulk of the tweak & crop myself, short of putting up the Avatar; all I'd need if that'd work would be what pixel dimensions I should use).

BTW, JarlAxel; fellow Toronto Canuckian; heyo!

At this time, we are allowing only art that is found in a Palladium Book. This makes its helpful to Palladium on numerous levels, including making sure Palladium owns the art.

I see. Thanks anyway, then. If it's not too off-topic to ask this (assuming it's permissible to put any up here on the Forums if at all) is there a particular part of the Megaverse Forums where a body could post artwork they've done of Palladium characters they've created? (The snip of Boethermsbrukan's face in my signature is a small part of a larger one.)

the main section "All Things Palladium" works. Or if you have art to a specific setting like Rifts, or Heroes or something of the sort. Though I would say overall, the best place would be "All Things Palladium".

Mr. D;

Thanks for getting back to me. That's fine; I assume the same BBCode I use for my signature picture can be used to place a larger picture in a given message, then. Looking forward to putting a Wolfen or two up, then! Again, thanks kindly for filling me in about this, and a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

-Boe.

P.S.: I had some time to think about it, and I considered a few pictures (most of which were in 'Wolfen Empire', although at least one or two were in 'Monsters & Animals' and the 1st/revised Palladium Fantasy mainbook) that might be closer to fitting your restrictions on what art is used for a potential Avatar (all of which in this case would be art owned by and published in books by Palladium). Assuming I decide to 'pick one out' should I contact you here about it? Thanks again!

Images cant be displayed in posts, but you can put a link to the image in a post.

Yes, if you find an image in a book that is not already in the system here on the forums, then yes, contact me.

Hey there, ami!

D'oh, my fault; I meant by what I'd said rather about 'putting an image in a post' via an IMG BBCode link. I know at least at the moment most users can't attach anything directly to a message post.

Great! I've already gone through the Avatar galleries relevant to the custom pics I'm thinking of, and I'm reasonably sure that none of them are in the system. Give us a day or two to check the particular pages, and please accept my thanks for your patience with this!

Dear Mr. Deific NMI,

I just discovered that we can request pictures for our avatars!

This one might be a little difficult though, as it is in the first edition of the Palladium Fantacty RPG only:
page 189, 'the wolfen', could you please take the head/head & shoulders of the wolfen with the Roman style crested helmet standing upright at the back with his head in profile?

I've been wanting to use that one for years!

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Soldier of Od.

EDIT - please let me know if you want me to scan the page myself and e-mail it to you.

I dont have the book, so you will need to scan it and send to me via email - nmi [at] thedeificnmi [dot] com

Also, check the existing avatars and make sure your requested image is not already there.

Mr. Deific;

Sorry for taking as long as I did to get back to you; I'm going to stick with my current 'stock' Avatar for the moment, although I'll certainly give you a shoulder-tap if I change my mind. One of the drawings I had in mind (as in a crop from it) was also by Scott Johnson (the artist of the picture which my current Avatar came from; the piece being located near the beginning of the 'Wolfen Empire' sourcebook if I'm not mistaken) who did a few pics in 'Wolfen Empire'. I really wasn't sure about his style fitting in with Palladium Fantasy (as opposed to Heroes Unlimited 2nd Ed. and the mid-1990s Rifts books I first saw his art within) but he is _good_ with Wolfen and the Canine Races.

Been thinking about touching up my Signature image a bit in the last few days, too (which I'll be doing myself, if course ^_^). Stay frosty, chummer!

-Boe.

Custom avatars, yeah?

Can there be a category of just 'animals'? Or at least more that are like the one I have where they're just ordinary critters? I like this pooch, but something in colour would be great.

There are the animal avatars in the ATB [After the Bomb] section. PFRPG also has a healthy selection of animal based avatars too!

That would be correct.
