If you haven't check out my blog yet, please do. Today I posted a battle report of a solo game I played while learning the rules.

Check it out here: http://robotechwargaming.blogspot.ca/2014/12/mars-base-sara-battle-report.html

On a side note, I want to go on the record by saying that I am very pleased with this game. I have been wargaming for over 28 years now and I love these miniatures and the rules. Yes it has been a long and bumpy road to get here, but when the dust has settled, this game is of good quality and fun to play. I am glad that I invested in the Kickstarter.

Thank you to Kevin, Wayne, Jeff and the rest of the Palladium and Ninja Division teams. I look forward to supporting the game with my little blog and eagerly await wave 2.

Nice report! Great terrain and lovely paint job on the miniatures. But I have a question, did you play without the Zentraedi reinforcement rule? That's Grell's strong point!

I've played a few small games too. It's a great system and I've had a lot of fun with it too. The record keeping can be a bear. Have you tried using a die to mark damage? The D6 works great for the pods while a d20 is fine for the UEDF.

There were a bunch of rules that I forgot or got wrong (life is cheap, a few turns I let mecha use anti-missile systems and dodge). Typical for a first game.

I came away from the game feeling really good about the experience, something I haven't felt since my first warmachine game 5 yrs ago.

I thought about using dice to track damage too.

That is awesome. Nice terrain and battle report!

Don't feel bad about the rules, I have missed a couple as well and just downright got some wrong during game play. Thanks for the great report.

Thanks for the report. I have barely started on my minis but it is a lot of help to see the rules in action.
