what is a "dimensional Rift circle"

Dimensional teleport says the location you go to is random unless you have a "dimensional Rift circle" (and other options too). I've never seen reference to this kind of a circle before or since this spell description. You could argue a circle of travel qualifies but then would that be what it said.. who knows. Your thoughts? Random references you've found?
