Regarding two powers of "Weapons of Chaos" on page 148, the 5th and the 11th.
The ectoplasmic tentacles of POF are pretty hard to get out of once they snag you, but at a mere +2 to strike, they seem like they might be moderately easy to parry or dodge for high-bonus characters...
I was thinking that the -8 penalty to parry/dodge created by US might help prevent that, but then I thought "but wait, would the -8 to strike make it harder to hit targets in the first place?"
But then I wondered : would penalties based on poor vision apply to the tentacles in the first place? It doesn't mention anything about them having eyes or relying on sight to hit. So maybe they should be immune to such penalties?
If so, that would be a pretty cool combo.
