Levitation assistance

Unread post by Veknironth »

Well, I know that levitation has a weight limit, but how does that work when something is over the limit? Does it have no effect, like the power is binary in its effect? Could two people cast levitation and share the load? Could levitation be used to help someone climb a wall by effectively lowering the weight of that person? Or could it help to lift something (Like someone pulling an object up via rope) while someone else is pulling?

I have it lower the effective weight, though not its mass; it is more or less what TK Lift does, letting you supplement your muscles... but shoving it will be hard, regardless.

I think it is pretty much binary, in a way. if it can lift 200lbs, 201 wont levitate. but, if someone is lifting 50lbs of that 200lb person, the levitate spell really only lifts 150lbs of it. so, it still has it's limit of 200lbs, but never reached its max.

This is also a place that the TK article I wrote comes into play.
