New Books, Reprints, Grab Bags and more

The Heroes of the Megaverse Print

This popular print has sold 480 copies. The next selection of fan names to be turned into Palladium characters will be selected Friday or Monday. That means December is your last shot at immortality inside a Palladium publication. Don’t say we didn’t give ya all fair warning.

The Megaverse® United Print

The Megaverse® United Print continues to sell, as we just shipped out print number 1885 to Finland (thank you Esa). The sale of these prints (as well as books, T-shirts and other product) have continued to help Palladium Books to get back on its feet. We are feeling very optimistic in that regard, and with each passing day, we feel like 2007 is going to be a banner year for Palladium. Let’s hope so, eh?

Part of our enthusiasm comes from knowing how much you are going to enjoy the many new books we have in the pipeline for 2007.

New Books

Work on Rifts® Sourcebook One, Expanded is coming along nicely and is gonna surprise and delight a lot of people. You’ll get a bit of a sneak peek online in a couple of weeks.

Work on D-Bees of North America is also coming along beautifully, and I mean that in every respect. Not only are there something like 35 new, strange and fun D-Bees, but the artists are outdoing themselves. The entirely new artwork in this book for each D-Bee is going to be spectacular, starting with Dave Dorman’s dynamic cover painting.

Work on Dimension Book 10: Hades is also coming along nicely. In fact, author, Carl Gleba, has given us sooo much great material that we had to increase the page count from 160 pages to 192 pages. Um, that also means a price increase to $22.95, but it will be worth it. The same is true of D-Book 11: Dyval (also starting production).

Meanwhile, Wayne Smith is busy working on The Rifter® #37 which also has some excellent material in it. Oh, don’t forget, the price of The Rifter® will be going up one dollar to $10.95 starting with #37.

And yes, this means all the books should be coming out on time, give or take a week or so!

Other titles for Rifts, Heroes Unlimited, Palladium Fantasy, Chaos Earth and Nightbane are also in the development stage along with a couple of on-line surprises.

Book Repints

The Chaos Earth RPG, Coalition War Campaign, Rifts® Adventure Guide and Rifts® Ultimate Edition all went in for reprint yesterday. Each is fundamentally the same, except for some minor correction of typos and other minor stuff. All should be back in print sometime after December 20, 2007.

Though we consider it "minor," you uber-collectors may want to also pick up a copy of Rifts® Ultimate Edition, second printing because of the two pages of art that is different in the third color section (along with a handful of minor corrections). The two Nokia Ad pages have been replaced with Kevin Long's awesome double-page spread of the Coalition Army on the move through the ruins of a city (I wished I owned the original paining of that one), along with a few other Long images. But as nice as this cosmetic change is, there is no reason for those of you who bought the first edition to buy the Second printing -- this is a second printing with minor tweaks not a second edition. Also note that the price of REU will increase two bucks, to $35.95 retail, with the second printing. Available around February 1, 2007.

Christmas Grab Bags are selling like mad!
Have you gotten yours? Time is running out.

With Christmas only about 3 and a half weeks away, Grab Bag sales have doubled! We have 21 going out today. We are shipping them out as fast as we can with orders usually going out the day after we get ‘em, always within 1-4 days, then it's in the hands of the delivery service. You can thank mail order goddess Kathy Simmons for getting us your orders lickety-split, and the warehouse crew – Julius, Hank and Bill – working hard to get orders processed and shipped out within 48 hours (usually next day).

We hope everyone enjoys what they get. Only a handful of you who list just one or two items, or rare or impossible requests, may be disappointed, but even then we try to make each X-Mas Grab Bag something that will thrill and delight the person receiving it. The boys and I always try to make each Grab Bag special. Our thanks to our wonderful fans.

Keep the faith and game on. Ho, ho, ho.

Sincerely,
Santa Kev
