Meganeuropsis-Zephyr aka Mini-Zephyr

Looks like a cross between a Pleistocene era dragonfly
and a mini version of the Zephyr war mount. Meant to
transport nonflying insects from the hive host armor to its target.

M.D.C. of Each Insect: 3 MDC each

Flight Speed: 60 mi./h

Bonuses: +2 to strike and +4 to Dodge

Color: iridescence green with red highlights

Initial size: 3-4 inches in length.

Mega-Damage from a Swarm Attack: the mini Zephyr
does not attack itself but transports other nonflying
insects from the hive armor to the preselected target,
where it drops off its payload of attack bugs.


Additional Swarm Effects: the only effect from a swarm
would depend on how many nonflying insects were being
used in the attack.

Bio-E Cost: 10 points for every 5 mini zephyrs

Bio-Enhancements:

1. Small increase in size from 3-4 inches in length up to
5-6 inches in length and 4 MDC each. Allowing heavier bugs carried.

Bio-E Cost: 15 points for every 5 mini zephyrs

Prerequisite: None.

2. Increase in size from 5-6 inches in length up to
9-10 inches in length and 4 MDC each. Allowing for more bugs to be carried.

Bio-E Cost: 20 points for every 5 mini zephyrs

Prerequisite: Small increase in size.

Size and number of insects to be carried determined by GM at time of purchase.

Molotov-Tick

Seeks out and bites the targeted or found hydraulic systems.
Ingests hydraulic fluid and converts it into a more complex
hydrocarbon molecule similar to pitch or tar but burns more
readily than either. Once the tick has consumed enough fluid to
swell up three times its normal size it self ignites becoming a
flaming tar ball that burns at mega-damage temperatures.

M.D.C. of Each Insect: two MDC each

Flight Speed: Flight is not possible (it has no wings) but it can
crawl up to 30 mph and short sprint up to 45 mph or it needs
to be placed or carried to target.

Bonuses: +2 to strike and +4 to Dodge

Color: black

Mega-Damage from a single insect 1D4 M.D.

Initial size: 1/4 inch in length.

Mega-Damage from a Swarm Attack:

*A swarm of 10 Molotov-Ticks inflicts 3D10 M.D. to a 5 foot area.

*A swarm of 20 Molotov-Ticks inflicts 4D10+5 M.D. to a 10 foot area.

*A swarm of 30 Molotov-Ticks inflicts 5D10+10 M.D. to a 15 foot area.

*A swarm of 40 Molotov-Ticks inflicts 5D10+20 M.D. to a 20 foot area.

*A swarm of 50 Molotov-Ticks inflicts 5D10+50 M.D. to a 30 foot area.

Additional Swarm Effects: An attack by more than
four in one area will feed each others flames creating a
micro mini firestorm for an additional +5 to damage with each
additional tick adding +1 to the damage.

Bio-E Cost: 10 points for every 20 Molotov-Tick's

Bio-Enhancements:

1. Increase in size. Each 1/4 inch increase adds an additional
1D4 M.D. but costs an additional 5 Bio E. So the first increase
only costs 5, but the next would cost 10, and the next 15 and so on.

Bio-E Cost: 5 points for every 20 Molotov-Tick's

Prerequisite: None.

2. Increase damage to napalm levels. Increases all damage by 50%.

Bio-E Cost: 10 points for every 20 Molotov-Tick's

Prerequisite: None.

3. Increase damage to plasma levels. Adds a 50% increase to the area affected.

Bio-E Cost: 10 points for every 20 Molotov-Tick's

Thermitic-Centipede

Looks like an ordinary Centipede crawling across the hive armor.
It can be directed to crawl onto a target or placed by hand. When
the antennas are snapped off by hand, or it bites its' own off, there
is a 5-10 second delay before the Centipede converts its
Bio E/M.D.C. into an exothermic charge similar to Thermite with the
MDC of the shell focusing the heat inwards. They can be directed
or placed head to tail or side by side to make a longer or thicker
Thermite cord. Useful as shaped cutting and or as welding charges.

M.D.C. of Insect: 3 M.D.C. each

Flight Speed: Flight is not possible (it has no wings) but it can crawl
up to 60 mph and short sprint up to 90 mph.

Bonuses: +3 to strike and +2 to Dodge

Color: Gray upper body shell, with rust-red legs and antenna,the body
under the shell appears as a mix of gray and iron-oxide resembling Thermite.

Mega-Damage from a single insect 1D12 M.D.

Initial size: 4 inches in length.

Mega-Damage from a Swarm Attack: By linking head to tail they can
create a longer and or stronger/deeper string of welds or deeper burning/cutting.

Additional Swarm Effects: If enough encircle the target limb/sensor
head and is ignited and does damage equal to three quarters of the
targets MDC there is a 50% chance that the target will be burned off.

Bio-E Cost: 10 for every 20 Thermitic-Centipedes

Bio-Enhancements:

1. Increase length by 8 inches and add 1D6 to damage.

Bio-E Cost: 5 points for every 20 Thermitic-Centipedes

Prerequisite: None.

2. Shell is hardened add 1D4 to the MDC. Helps to focus the
heat in addition to adding to its' armor, and a +2 bonus to damage.

Bio-E Cost: 5 points for every 20 Thermitic-Centipedes

Prerequisite: None.

3. Exothermic reaction enhanced.

Bio-E Cost: 10 points for every 20 Thermitic-Centipedes

Prerequisite: Shell is hardened.

Denaeaspis (tortoise beetle) Land Mine

Looking like a cross between a tortoise beetle from the
Middle Eocene and a more recent species know as the
Golden Tortoise Beetle the Denaeaspis is a land bound beetle.
It has to crawl to get in position or be placed by outside
forces i.e. a Meganeuropsis-Zephyr, the Hive Lord, or some
other agent. Being an insect the Denaeaspis can "attach" itself
to any surface it can crawl to or be placed on. Once in place
it can wait to be stepped on for days to weeks. If it is
"placed" in a position where it won't be stepped on it can detonate
by detecting its' target via its' antenna Ala proximity fuse.
Detonation occurs in one of two ways, as a shaped charge,
or a fragmentation explosion with its' "shield like" carapace
acting as penetrater or shrapnel.

M.D.C. of Each Insect: 5 M.D. each

Flight Speed: Flight is not possible (the wings are fused to
make the shell of its' back) but it can crawl up to 60 mph and short sprint up to 90 mph

Bonuses: +3 to strike and +3 to Dodge

Color: golden with iridescence highlights

Mega-Damage from a single insect 1D4 M.D.

Initial size: 1 inch

Mega-Damage from a Swarm Attack:

*A swarm of 10 Denaeaspis inflicts 3D10 M.D. to a 5 foot area.

*A swarm of 20 Denaeaspis inflicts 4D10+5 M.D. to a 10 foot area.

*A swarm of 30 Denaeaspis inflicts 5D10+10 M.D. to a 15 foot area.

*A swarm of 40 Denaeaspis inflicts 5D10+20 M.D. to a 20 foot area.

*A swarm of 50 Denaeaspis inflicts 5D10+50 M.D. to a 30 foot area.

*Every additional 10 Denaeaspis added to a swarm adds an additional 5 feet to the blast area.

Additional Swarm Effects: Every 10 Denaeaspis added to a swarm adds an additional 5 feet to the blast area.
Also adds a chance of being knocked over. Feel free to ignore or adjust this table.
1-10 M.D.: No chance. Withstands the blow.
11-20 M.D.: 01-20% chance of being knocked off feet.
21-30 M.D.: 01-30% chance of being knocked off feet.
31-40 M.D.: 01-50% chance of being knocked off feet.
41-50 M.D.: 01-70% chance of being knocked off feet.
51-60 M.D.: 01-90% chance of being knocked off feet.
61 or more M.D.: 100%! Knocked off feet and stunned! The impact is
so strong that, in this case, the character loses all attacks/actions that
entire melee round (15 seconds).

Bio-E Cost: 40 for every 10 Denaeaspis

Bio-Enhancements:

1. Increase in size. Each 1/4 inch increase adds an
additional 1D4 M.D. but costs an additional 10 Bio E.
So the first increase only costs 10, but the next would
cost 20, and the next 30 and so on.

Bio-E Cost: 10 points for every 10 Denaeaspis

Prerequisite: None.

2. Shell is hardened helping to focus the explosion
adding to its' armor, add 1D4 to the MDC, and a +2 bonus to damage.

Bio-E Cost: 15 points for every 10 Denaeaspis

Prerequisite: None.

D.O.B.B.s' Disposable Organic Ball Bearings aka Roly-Polies.
Intended for causing slip and falls or a general loss of traction.
The D.O.B.B.s' live for only a week and curl up into a ball at
the time of death. The hive can reabsorb the dead D.O.B.B.s'
or they can be kept for later use. If being kept for later use
they can be directed to go to a storage pouch in the armor or
a sack attached or carried by the hive. They can also be
used as shot as in sling-shot doing 1D4 S.D.C. or perhaps
loaded into another weapon where they can cause Mega-Damage.

M.D.C. of Each Insect:3 M.D. each

Flight Speed: N/A ground based insects that can crawl about
3 1/2 mph with bursts up to 7 1/2 mph. But they are not meant
to crawl into place but be rolled or thrown. That having been
said they can be directed to crawl to a specific point/location.

Bonuses:N/A

Color: metallic gray

Initial size: 1/4 inch

Mega-Damage from a Swarm Attack: N/A for damage, meant
to cause slip and fall incidents. Although a "swarm" i.e. multiple
D.O.B.B.s' would increase the chance of a loss of traction.

*A "swarm" of at least a dozen or more over a 10' area has a
25% chance of a fall dependent on the speed of the intended target.


Additional Swarm Effects: For each additional dozen
D.O.B.B.s' the chance of fall or loss of traction increases by 3%

Bio-E Cost: A measly 2 points only for every dozen D.O.B.B.s'.

Bio-Enhancements:

1. Increase in size. Each 1/4 inch increase adds an additional
5% chance of causing a loss of traction. This enhancement may
be purchased multiple times but each increase gives the opponent
an increasing chance of noticing and avoiding the D.O.B.B.s'.

Bio-E Cost: 1 point per increase in size

Prerequisite: none

2. Retain ability to produce D.O.B.B.s' of smaller diameters.

Bio-E Cost: 4

Prerequisite: Increase in size and purchase of more insects.
Must be bought each time a size increase is purchased to
retain the ability to create D.O.B.B.s' of smaller diameter.
