let the vamps get ahold of him.. or better yet the Raiders.. i think the Doc has the CS to blame for him needing to run all the way to mexico. He would love to pay them back.

Aslo just because it's old info a few of those bases might still be intact. tha salvage they find might be nice. an abandon Skull walker, Death's head or perhaps a suit of experimental might be sitting around.

better yet the good doctor might have a few secret experiments running hidden at an old base.
