Has anyone done a more complete write up and history of the Gromek than what is listed in the Conversions Book or Monsters and Animals? I have been thinking about using them extensively and would like to know what others have done with them to compare my own ideas of them.

Fragments exist in Island at the Edge of the World, Mount Nimro and Baal-Gor Wastelands.

Developments that I made for Gromek society was tribal in nature and nomadic being similar to the plains indians in that respect. I had their society be Matriarchal in nature, the older females being the tribal leaders. This development was the direct result of warfare and males being the primary warriors. In this way Gromek males did not often survive into old age leaving the older women often the mothers and grandmothers to make most of the important decisions for the welfare of the tribe. Like the plains Indians, some Gromek tribes were friendly with each other and others downright hostile. The Gromek's weapons of choice often varies with his tribe. The Gromek homeworld is heavily populated to the point that wars over territory are constant. Volcano's are a common landscape and the sky often has a red hue to it. I have toyed with the idea of having a charismatic Gromek use his skills to unite the tribes....but I haven't really developed that thread not having the time and not running a campaign concerning Gromek currently. Some examples of Gromek names that I use are Cal'Own, Lo'Kruki, Rog'Habisan, Zin'Matas, Dar'Kun and Min'Soyan. All Gromek names having apostrophe's separting their given name and their tribal surname.
I do not know which Palladium game originally features the Gromek or where they came up with them expanding all of this on the information from the Conversion book.

One thing I would eventually like to see would be a worldbook on the Gromek home planet. They have always been one of my favorite villains and races to play. Imo they are under used in the Palladium universe.

If the Gromek are mortal creatures ( being not that mush different than humans) should they have access to all the genetic quirks and mutations available to humanity. I mean like super powers and NB and the like

A freind and I collaborated a little for my galactic setting. We came up with the Gromek as a major interplanetary power. The Empire being ruled by an immortal Gromek Emporer. Still a very warlike and fractious group of people, but populous enough and ambitious enough to build and empire of several worlds and hold on to them for a couple of centuries.

what do you think

I liked and used the Gromek in my campaigns, but I never actually wrote out a full origin for their race.
I should though, because I don't intend to use the PFRPG origin.

I could see Gromek with superpowers, but I think Gromek Nightbane would be somewhat weird... Nightbane are the result, so far as we know, of the weird conditions of NB Earth.

Good to see so many Gromek fans out there. One of my absolute favorite Palladium Races.

Gromek inhabit four worlds outside of Palladium. The book with most info on them is the Baalgor Wastelands. Bill Coffin did one hell of a job detailing the Gromek! :D

Gromek are currently one of my favorite RCC's as well.

The Gromek warlord Jijjerijn has a huge amount of firepower to rely on in combat, he owns some 30 lightning javelins! With a 1000 foot range and thirty to throw, Jijjerijn would certainly control any battlefield he is on.

Those lightning javelins crafted by the Cyclops are Palladiums version of heavy artillery, IMO. :-P

Gromek and Lizard Mages are my favorite "Monster Races". Yea, a Dimension Book about Gromek would definatly be awesome.
