Except for 2 of the rifters (which are hiding from me) I am done with the books that I am going to do/have.
I will be updating this as I get new books.

That would be your opinion though, that's certainly not canon to the rules nor does it make any particular sense. There's no reason you'd lose your connection to the elements if you decided to become say a Thief, or even a Diabolist. You still have the connection you're just learning something else instead of strengthening that connection. There are even NPC in the books that have Warlock as one of their OCC classes (one in the Pantheons book for example, one of the pretend gods who started as a mega-powerful Warlock and learned more to augment that when he found it lacking).

It's 'canon', not 'cannon'. A cannon is a big gun like on pirate ships, canon is what you mean when referring to something as being contained within one of the books such as how many dice to roll for a stat.

As per canon, they would become a "Half-Wazard" if they retained their magic casting abilities.

And I have already argued this.
The difference in what you are saying and what I am saying is that you are looking at the game mechanics POV with a 'is it possible via the rules?" outlook, while I am looking from the POV of the chars themselves and coming from the why's and where-for's they would they make a change of class. As in"why do I want to change what I am?"
Between us two this is what causes what we disagree about things the most, what POV we are looking at the situation. The roll vs role playing.

Based on what I see here we could use this to lump things together now that it is completely broken down.

So you choose your race IE Human, D-Bee True atlantian. etc. Roll stats put down racial skills.
Then you choose racial or Man at Arms or Adventurer class- Basically pic your profession. Magic based etc. Common skills and powers will be added.
Then you choose specific basically an MOS. Choose your specific flavor of class. IE What makes your class unique.

For example. A coalition Officer

Race human. Role stats.

Choose Men-at arms. Put in abilities that are common to all Men at Arms

Choose your MOS put in the stuff that makes your character unique.

I don't understand the point of having an NCC class. When I roll up NPCs, I create them using the existing classes, so how is an NCC somehow different from an OCC? I am not understanding the point of it or else misunderstand the definition. As I said, i just roll up NPCs the same as I would a regular character.

NPC classes are those classes that Are Not PC classes and Not PC 'Optional' classes.

They are listed because I am listing All the classes,and they are "A Class". But since they are not a class a player can use, they are not listed as a class a player can use.

This is a fantastic list! Thank you for breaking them all apart like this, it also makes understanding the whole Race/Occ/Rcc/Pcc stuff a lot easier for new players!
Also for someone who hasn't played Rifts in over a decade and is suddenly prepping to GM again. (What did I get myself into XD)
